In modern society,female parents from different strata are involved in the process of constructing their motherhood through education.But mothers of different social classes have different ways of acting.Amid increasi...In modern society,female parents from different strata are involved in the process of constructing their motherhood through education.But mothers of different social classes have different ways of acting.Amid increasingly fierce educational competition,the mothers of ordinary working families move into the school neighborhood to look after their children as the college entrance examination(gaokao)approaches,and construct their“student guardian motherhood”status through their task of accompanying their children’s study.This paper takes as its subject mothers as student guardians in M Town,a typical gaokao community,providing a structural analysis of the features of such mothers’educational labor and production relations from the perspective of gender and class.Seen in the light of the family’s gendered division of labor,the educational work of student guardian mothers is a new form of housework.In terms of the content of its division of labor,the student guardian work of mothers dedicated to their children’s well-being counts as“low-end”work,an overflow from links in the division of labor in school education.On the one hand,due to their lack of cultural capital,the relationship between parents and schools is one of“accompanying”and“submission.”On the other,these parents consciously keep their distance from“quality education”and form an organic compound with the schools’efficient exam-centered education.The traditional Chinese idea of“hoping one’s sons become dragons”[achieve greatness]and the modern“child-centered”concept of nurturing jointly shape the image of student guardian mothers who work as service-oriented mothers in tandem with school education.The function of student guardians is not only the educational labor of“looking after the children”enjoined on middle-and lower-class female parents by the current division of education and social labor,but also an active and rational action strategy adopted by working class Chinese mothers striving for their children’s academic success.展开更多

Methods: A descriptive design using qualitative...Background: Inadequate pain management is a problem in hospitalized children. Objectives: To explore knowledge and attitudes of nurses in management of pain in children. Methods: A descriptive design using qualitative methods was used to conduct the study. 17 nurses with prior pain management training were interviewed using a semi-structured interview guide. Ethical approval was obtained from College of Medicine Research and Ethics Committee. Data were analysed using thematic content analysis. Results: Nurses had some knowledge of pain assessment methods, treatment and use of morphine. Gaps, however, existed on how to use pain assessment scales, analgesics to use at each step of the WHO analgesic ladder, and how to effectively use morphine for pain relief. Although most nurses had positive attitudes towards children’s pain and use of morphine, negative attitudes were evident in some nurses regarding administration of morphine to neonates or acutely ill children. Conclusion and Implications: The study has revealed knowledge and attitude gaps which may reflect deficiencies in the pain education nurses received, non-availability of pain scales and lack of support for nurses to link theory with practice. Nurse leaders are challenged to provide repeated comprehensive education for nurses on pain assessment and management. Furthermore, user friendly pain scales should be developed, and nurses educated and demonstrated on their use. In addition, opportunities for supportive supervision with nurses in the clinical setting should be created for linkage of theory and practice.展开更多

The paper studies the structures preposing, postposing, inversion, extraposition, and dislocation, as well as existential, cleft and passive constructions. It shows that that the news and sports sections of The Guardian are not extensively marked by the use of information-packaging structures.展开更多

The ba- sic content and the five implementation steps were described, and the implementation method and the program of every step were introduced. Some rules for the implementation of the whole process confirmation management in coal mine safety pro- duction were explained, such as during the process of preproduction, before descent, descent, after descent, walking in the roadway, post-operation, shift, and hoisting after work. The results show that the guardians and the executors should both con- firm the implementation, which can improve the workers＇ attention and self-awareness to avoid errors in detail and reduce the ＂three violations＂ phenomenon. To ensure the effect of the whole process confirmation management, relevant departments should designate a person-in-charge in the specific work in all stages, make a work plan, and strengthen the internal evaluation.展开更多

Objective:To observe whether the Ear Well infant ear correction system makes any difference in terms of the treatment effect,duration,complication rate,and nursing care requirements in different types of infant auricl...Objective:To observe whether the Ear Well infant ear correction system makes any difference in terms of the treatment effect,duration,complication rate,and nursing care requirements in different types of infant auricle deformities.Methods:A total of 93 infant patients with auricular deformity(age:<3 months of age)who were diagnosed and treated in Guangzhou Children and Women’s Medical Center from April 2018 to September 2020 were selected and treated with the Ear Well infant ear correction system.We observed and recorded the effects of the Ear Well infant ear correction system,the treatment duration,the number of rebound cases,and complications that are likely to occur during treatment,and noted the related factors causing complications and the relative requirements for nursing care.Results:The Earwell infant ear correction system could effectively correct infant auricle deformities.Among the 93 cases,90 cases had positive therapeutical outcome and the effective rate was 96.77%.The treatment duration for lop ear and protruding ear was longer than for other auricle deformities;the deformity recoil and the treatment compilation rates were much higher for these 2 deformity types,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:The treatment suggestion for the wearing duration of the Ear Well infant ear correction system for lop ear and protruding ear is a prolonged duration compared with that for other infant auricle deformities.Fur ther,the requirements for nursing care intensity and infant patient’s guardian’s nursing knowledge and skill are obviously increased for these 2 types of auricle deformities.展开更多

The Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia provides a guarantee of religious freedom for every citizen under Article 28 E of the 1945 Constitution. The Constitutional Court, which is required to protect, maintain, and ensure religious freedom for religious minorities, is deemed to fail guarding the right of religious minorities, because in addition to providing a restrictive ruling on a judicial review of the rule of law which is contrary to the basic law, it also fails to interpret legal products under the laws as part of the constitution. The Constitutional Court dysfunction as a guardian of the constitutional rights of religious minorities occurs because of the vacuum of law （recht vacuum）, a narrow interpretation of the constitution by the constitutional judges. The urgency that needs to be addressed is to provide the Constitutional Court with a more extensive authority, which is not limited only to review legal products under laws, but also includes production of Law on Freedom of Religion and Belief for protection in the application of Article 28 E of the 1945 Constitution.展开更多
