Objective:To explore the therapeutic capacity of the Liangxue Xiaoban(LXXB)decoction and its disassembled prescriptions in the modulation of T cell subsets and recurrence-related indexes of psoriasis using a psoriasis...Objective:To explore the therapeutic capacity of the Liangxue Xiaoban(LXXB)decoction and its disassembled prescriptions in the modulation of T cell subsets and recurrence-related indexes of psoriasis using a psoriasis-like mouse model.Methods:The psoriasis model was generated by the treatment of BALB/c mice(n=48)with imiquimod.Mice were divided into six groups:control,psoriasis model,tripterygium glycosides,LXXB decoction,Liangxue decoction,and Qingqi decoction.After the intervention period,the interleukin(IL)-17A,IL-22,and interferon-γ levels in mice were examined and hematoxylin and eosin staining was conducted to determine pathological changes in the skin tissues.T cell subset changes in the skin-draining lymph nodes were analyzed using flow cytometry,and the expression levels of the associated transcription factors and recurrence-related indexes in the skin tissues were determined using a polymerase chain reaction.Results:LXXB decoction attenuated the levels of CD8^(+)T,Th17,and Th1 cells and induced an increase in the Th2 and Treg cell levels.The disassembled prescriptions promoted or inhibited specific subsets of T cells to improve the symptoms of psoriasis.Notably,the LXXB and Liangxue decoctions suppressed the expression of IL-22 at both the gene and protein levels and restored the CD103 and IL-15 expressions in the skin tissue to the normal range.Conclusion:LXXB decoction exerted significant immunoregulatory effects on T cell subsets and improved the recurrence-related indexes.Interestingly,the Liangxue prescription appeared to have a therapeutic advantage in terms of Th17 modulation and psoriasis recurrence,while the Qingqi prescription performed better in Treg immunoregulation.展开更多
A metabonomic approach involving an ultrahigh-performance liquid chromatography combined with Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry(UHPLC-FT-ICR-MS)was used to investigate the changes in the endo...A metabonomic approach involving an ultrahigh-performance liquid chromatography combined with Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry(UHPLC-FT-ICR-MS)was used to investigate the changes in the endogenous metabolites in the plasma of rats with yeast-induced pyrexia treated with Gegenqinlian decoction(GQLD),aspirin and itraconazole.The differences in the small molecule profiles of treatment using traditional Chinese medicine,etiological treatment and symptomatic treatment were elucidated.Thirty-six plasma metabolites were identified or putatively identified,and the effects of the three medicines on the thirty-six metabolites were studied.Their metabolic pathways indicated that GQLD,aspirin and itraconazole ameliorated the rats with yeast-induced pyrexia predominantly by regulating the metabolisms of phospholipid,sphingolipid,fatty acid oxidation,fatty acid amides,amino acid and glycerolipid in vivo.The pharmacodynamics and metabonomic results showed that the three medicines exhibited the therapeutic effects on pyrexia by regulating the perturbations of multiple metabolisms.The study provided a scientific basis for an in-depth understanding of the therapeutic effects of GQLD,aspirin and itraconazole on rats with yeast-induced pyrexia.展开更多

Objective:This study aimed to examine the mechanism of classic ancient prescription of Chinese medicine Yinchenhao decoction in treating jaundice based on network pharmacology.Method:An oral bioavailability of≥30%,a ...Objective:This study aimed to examine the mechanism of classic ancient prescription of Chinese medicine Yinchenhao decoction in treating jaundice based on network pharmacology.Method:An oral bioavailability of≥30%,a drug likeness of≥0.18,and literature studies were used to screen for Yinchen(Artemisiae scopariae herba),Zhizi(Gardeniae fructus),Dahuang(Rhei radix et rhizome)in the Chinese Medicine System Pharmacology Database and Analysis Platform.The active ingredient was introduced into the PubChem database to collect drug component targets and import into the Uniprot database for gene standardization.The target gene of Yinchen(Artemisiae scopariae herba)was screened via Human Gene Database(GeneCards).Then,use the Cytoscape 3.7.2 software was used for network visualization analysis,and the R3.6.1 software was used for gene ontology functional and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway enrichment analyses.Results:We collected a total of 47 active constituents of classic ancient prescription of Chinese medicine Yinchenhao decoction,of which 17 were related to jaundice;189,9 targets of jaundice were screened,of which 41 were interdigitated with the targets of classic ancient prescription of Chinese medicine Yinchenhao decoction.Gene ontology functional enrichment analysis revealed 111 biological processes,14 cellular components,and 28 molecular functions,and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway enrichment analysis showed 34 Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathways including hepatocellular carcinoma,PI3K-Akt signaling pathway,HIF-1 signaling pathway,prolactin signaling pathway,and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.Conclusion:Based on the network pharmacology,the analysis of jaundice and classic ancient prescription of Chinese medicine Yinchenhao decoction provides a novel idea and direction for the study of classic ancient prescription of Chinese medicine Yinchenhao decoction in the treatment of jaundice.展开更多
Background:Four classical Traditional Chinese Medicine prescriptions,namely Gualou Xiebai Baijiu decoction,Gualou Xiebai Banxia decoction(GLXBBX),Zhishi Xiebai Guizhi decoction(ZSXBGZ)and Danlou prescription(DL),have ...Background:Four classical Traditional Chinese Medicine prescriptions,namely Gualou Xiebai Baijiu decoction,Gualou Xiebai Banxia decoction(GLXBBX),Zhishi Xiebai Guizhi decoction(ZSXBGZ)and Danlou prescription(DL),have been frequently used for treatment of phlegm and blood stasis syndrome(PBSS)-related cardiovascular diseases.However,its therapeutic mechanism has not been clearly elucidated.This study aimed to explore PBSS and its molecular mechanism,clarify and compare the mechanisms of four prescriptions in treating PBSS-related diseases.Method:In this study,we collected four prescriptions’compounds,predicted therapeutic targets,and enriched pathways which were based on network pharmacology.Then,we analysed the commen and different mechanisms by combing the network of components,targets and pathways.Finally,molecular docking was engaged to assess the binding potential of key compounds and hub targets.Results:We showed that four prescriptions’intersection genes(VEGFA,SRC,EGFR,etc.)were commonly enriched in PI3K-AKT signaling pathway,HIF-1 signaling pathway,etc.In addition,platelet activation and cAMP signaling pathway were singly enriched from the GLXBBX through unique compounds 12,13-epoxy-9-hydroxynonadeca-7,10-dienoic acid and Cyclo(L-tyrosyl-L-phenylalanyl).These bioactive compounds may exert GLXBBX’s unique pharmacological pathways via involving in mediating PPARA,PTGER3,etc.Sphingolipid signaling pathway was singly enriched from the ZSXBGZ through unique compounds tetramethoxyluteolin,ergosterol peroxide,etc.These bioactive compounds could mediate ADORA1,ADORA3 and TNFRSF1A to regulate ZSXBGZ’s unique pharmacological pathways.AMPK signaling pathway was singly enriched from the DL through unique compounds kaempferol,evofolinb,ethyl acid and aureusidin.These bioactive compounds were involved in mediating the main targets of AMPK signaling pathway,such as TNF,TNFRSF1A,etc.Conclusions:Our research demonstrated that GLXB-prescriptions involved in almost all pathological stages of PBSS-related cardiovascular diseases by modulating high-frequency shared pathways and targets mainly through key compounds(quercetin,mandenol,sitosteryl acetate and luteolin,etc.),for example,participate in the process of atherosclerosis,lipid metabolism,inflammation,immune response,thrombosis,inhibit inflammatory factors and platelet aggregation,regulate immune function,vascular function,oxidative stress.In addition to common pharmacological efficacies,there could also be specificities among GLXB prescriptions due to different compounds.For example,GLXBBX tends to regulate the function of vascular and endothelial barrier,prevent thrombosis.ZSXBGZ tends to regulate lipid metabolism and protect the heart from lipid accumulation.DL tends to maintain energy homeostasis and improve inflammation.展开更多
The pathogenesis of orthopedic diseases is intimately linked to blood stasis,frequently arising from damage to primary and secondary blood channels.This disruption can lead to“blood leaving the meridians”or Qi stagn...The pathogenesis of orthopedic diseases is intimately linked to blood stasis,frequently arising from damage to primary and secondary blood channels.This disruption can lead to“blood leaving the meridians”or Qi stagnation,resulting in blood stasis syndrome.Taohong Siwu Decoction(THSWD)is a renowned classical Chinese medicinal formula extensively used to promote blood circulation and mitigate blood stasis.Clinical studies have demonstrated its significant therapeutic effects on various orthopedic conditions,particularly its anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties,as well as its efficacy in preventing deep vein thrombosis post-surgery.Despite these findings,research on THSWD remains fragmented,and its interdisciplinary impact is limited.This review aims to provide a comprehensive evaluation of the efficacy and pharmacological mechanisms of THSWD in treating common orthopedic diseases.Additionally,we employ bibliometric analysis to explore research trends and hotspots related to THSWD.We hope this review will enhance the recognition and application of THSWD in orthopedic treatments and guide future research into its pharmacological mechanisms.展开更多

[Objectives]The paper was to investigate the clinical effect of Fuyang prescription in the treatment of yang deficiency syndrome in the convalescent stage of ischemic stroke(IS)and its mechanism of action.[Methods]A t...[Objectives]The paper was to investigate the clinical effect of Fuyang prescription in the treatment of yang deficiency syndrome in the convalescent stage of ischemic stroke(IS)and its mechanism of action.[Methods]A total of 50 patients with yang deficiency syndrome in the convalescent stage of IS were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,with 25 patients in each group.The patients in the treatment group were given basic treatment combined with Fuyang prescription,and those in the control group were given basic treatment combined with Buyang Huanwu decoction;the course of treatment was 28 d for both groups.The activities of daily living(ADL)score,National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS)score,quality of life score,TCM syndrome score,and safety in both groups were observed before treatment and at 14 and 28 d post treatment,and their clinical outcome was evaluated.[Results]There was a significant difference in overall response rate between the treatment group and the control group[92.00%(23/25)vs 76.00%(19/25),P<0.05].After treatment,both groups had significant changes in ADL score,NIHSS score,quality of life score,and TCM syndrome score,and there were significant differences in these indices between the two groups at the same time point after treatment(P<0.05 or P<0.01).There were no significant changes in routine blood,routine stool,routine urine,and liver/renal function in either group after treatment.[Conclusions]Fuyang prescription has a marked clinical effect in the treatment of yang deficiency syndrome in the convalescent stage of IS,with significantly better clinical effect than Buyang Huanwu decoction,and it provides clinical evidence for the traditional Chinese medicine theory of yang supporting in the treatment of IS in the convalescent stage.展开更多

文摘Background:Four classical Traditional Chinese Medicine prescriptions,namely Gualou Xiebai Baijiu decoction,Gualou Xiebai Banxia decoction(GLXBBX),Zhishi Xiebai Guizhi decoction(ZSXBGZ)and Danlou prescription(DL),have been frequently used for treatment of phlegm and blood stasis syndrome(PBSS)-related cardiovascular diseases.However,its therapeutic mechanism has not been clearly elucidated.This study aimed to explore PBSS and its molecular mechanism,clarify and compare the mechanisms of four prescriptions in treating PBSS-related diseases.Method:In this study,we collected four prescriptions’compounds,predicted therapeutic targets,and enriched pathways which were based on network pharmacology.Then,we analysed the commen and different mechanisms by combing the network of components,targets and pathways.Finally,molecular docking was engaged to assess the binding potential of key compounds and hub targets.Results:We showed that four prescriptions’intersection genes(VEGFA,SRC,EGFR,etc.)were commonly enriched in PI3K-AKT signaling pathway,HIF-1 signaling pathway,etc.In addition,platelet activation and cAMP signaling pathway were singly enriched from the GLXBBX through unique compounds 12,13-epoxy-9-hydroxynonadeca-7,10-dienoic acid and Cyclo(L-tyrosyl-L-phenylalanyl).These bioactive compounds may exert GLXBBX’s unique pharmacological pathways via involving in mediating PPARA,PTGER3,etc.Sphingolipid signaling pathway was singly enriched from the ZSXBGZ through unique compounds tetramethoxyluteolin,ergosterol peroxide,etc.These bioactive compounds could mediate ADORA1,ADORA3 and TNFRSF1A to regulate ZSXBGZ’s unique pharmacological pathways.AMPK signaling pathway was singly enriched from the DL through unique compounds kaempferol,evofolinb,ethyl acid and aureusidin.These bioactive compounds were involved in mediating the main targets of AMPK signaling pathway,such as TNF,TNFRSF1A,etc.Conclusions:Our research demonstrated that GLXB-prescriptions involved in almost all pathological stages of PBSS-related cardiovascular diseases by modulating high-frequency shared pathways and targets mainly through key compounds(quercetin,mandenol,sitosteryl acetate and luteolin,etc.),for example,participate in the process of atherosclerosis,lipid metabolism,inflammation,immune response,thrombosis,inhibit inflammatory factors and platelet aggregation,regulate immune function,vascular function,oxidative stress.In addition to common pharmacological efficacies,there could also be specificities among GLXB prescriptions due to different compounds.For example,GLXBBX tends to regulate the function of vascular and endothelial barrier,prevent thrombosis.ZSXBGZ tends to regulate lipid metabolism and protect the heart from lipid accumulation.DL tends to maintain energy homeostasis and improve inflammation.

文摘The pathogenesis of orthopedic diseases is intimately linked to blood stasis,frequently arising from damage to primary and secondary blood channels.This disruption can lead to“blood leaving the meridians”or Qi stagnation,resulting in blood stasis syndrome.Taohong Siwu Decoction(THSWD)is a renowned classical Chinese medicinal formula extensively used to promote blood circulation and mitigate blood stasis.Clinical studies have demonstrated its significant therapeutic effects on various orthopedic conditions,particularly its anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties,as well as its efficacy in preventing deep vein thrombosis post-surgery.Despite these findings,research on THSWD remains fragmented,and its interdisciplinary impact is limited.This review aims to provide a comprehensive evaluation of the efficacy and pharmacological mechanisms of THSWD in treating common orthopedic diseases.Additionally,we employ bibliometric analysis to explore research trends and hotspots related to THSWD.We hope this review will enhance the recognition and application of THSWD in orthopedic treatments and guide future research into its pharmacological mechanisms.

文摘Yanghe Decoction is a representative prescription of such prescriptions as warming up the yang and dissipating the cold.It has the functions of warming the blood and dispelling cold and stagnation.Yanghe Decoction has effects on many diseases.The principle of this kind of disease is blood deficiency and yang,and the clinical manifestation is cold stagnation.Such diseases often occur in multiple systems and in multiple aspects.This article summarizes the compatibility of Yanghe Decoction and its clinical application by reviewing the related literature analysis in recent years,and provides a broad idea for the application of Yanghe Decoction.

文摘[Objectives]The paper was to investigate the clinical effect of Fuyang prescription in the treatment of yang deficiency syndrome in the convalescent stage of ischemic stroke(IS)and its mechanism of action.[Methods]A total of 50 patients with yang deficiency syndrome in the convalescent stage of IS were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,with 25 patients in each group.The patients in the treatment group were given basic treatment combined with Fuyang prescription,and those in the control group were given basic treatment combined with Buyang Huanwu decoction;the course of treatment was 28 d for both groups.The activities of daily living(ADL)score,National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS)score,quality of life score,TCM syndrome score,and safety in both groups were observed before treatment and at 14 and 28 d post treatment,and their clinical outcome was evaluated.[Results]There was a significant difference in overall response rate between the treatment group and the control group[92.00%(23/25)vs 76.00%(19/25),P<0.05].After treatment,both groups had significant changes in ADL score,NIHSS score,quality of life score,and TCM syndrome score,and there were significant differences in these indices between the two groups at the same time point after treatment(P<0.05 or P<0.01).There were no significant changes in routine blood,routine stool,routine urine,and liver/renal function in either group after treatment.[Conclusions]Fuyang prescription has a marked clinical effect in the treatment of yang deficiency syndrome in the convalescent stage of IS,with significantly better clinical effect than Buyang Huanwu decoction,and it provides clinical evidence for the traditional Chinese medicine theory of yang supporting in the treatment of IS in the convalescent stage.

文摘The classified prescriptions from Chaihu decoction have been widely used in ancient and modern times.In spite of many previous research studies,the extensiveness and diversity of their applications have not been systematically studied.The author applied Chaihu Wendan decoction to treat phlegm and qi stagnation in the middle energizer,applied Chaihu Guizhi decoction to treat simultaneous disease of Shaoyang and Taiyang,applied Chaihu Xiexin decoction to treat simultaneous disease of the spleen,stomach,liver,and gallbladder,applied Chaihu Ermiao powder to treat simultaneous disease of hand Shaoyang and foot Taiyin,applied Chaihu Erchen decoction to treat simultaneous disease of Shaoyang and Taiyin,applied Chailing decoction to treat simultaneous disease of hand Shaoyin and foot Taiyang,applied Chaihu Guizhi Ganjiang decoction to treat Shaoyang and Taiyin cold fluid retention and heat stagnation syndrome of Shaoyang complicated with Taiyin,applied Chaihu Xingren decoction to treat simultaneous disease of hand Shaoyang and hand Taiyin,applied Chaihu Sanren decoction to treat the disease caused by damp-heat stagnation in the hand Shaoyang and the foot Taiyin,and applied Chaihu Ganlu Xiaodu pellet to treat the diseases of hand Shaoyang and foot Yangming.The effects were all remarkable.

文摘Gegen Qinlian Decoction is one of the commonly used classical prescriptions,which consists of fourherbs:Gegen(Puerariae Lobatae Radix),Huangqin(Scutellariae Radix),Huanglian(Coptidis Rhizoma),and Zhigancao Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Praeparata cum Melle.The clinical application experience of Gegen Qinlian Decoction is as follows:first,according to Zhongjing Zhang's original text,heat distressing the large intestine with unresolved exterior syndrome is theoriginal meaningof Gegen Qinlian Decoction syndrome.In clinical practice,bacillary dysentery,gastrointestinal cold,etc.,belong to simultaneous exterior and interior disease,which are completely consistent with the original meaning of this prescription;second,the clinical digestive system diseases with exuberant heat of the large intestine as the core manifestation cannot be treated merely based on the exterior syndrome;third,due to the interior-exterior relationship between the lung and the large intestine and between the meridians,the use of Gegen(Puerariae Lobatae Radix),Huangqin(Scutellariae Radix),and Huanglian(Coptidis Rhizoma)can make the source of body clear,and the waste qi can be released and thepore can be easily opened,so this prescription can also be used for exogenous fever;fourth,with multidimensional comprehensive understanding of the syndrome,pathogenesis,symptoms and pharmacology,Gegen Qinlian Decoction has also been further applied to the treatment of hypertension,diabetes,etc.
