‘Partly'globalized networks and driving mechanism in resource-based state-owned enterprises:A case study of J Group

In the context of economic globalization,while multinational enterprises from developed countries occupy a high-end position in the global value chain,enterprises from developing countries are often marginalized in the world market.In China,resource-based state-owned enterprises(SOEs)are tasked with the mission of safeguarding resource security,and their internationalization development ideas and strategic deployment are significantly and fundamentally different from those of other non-state-owned enterprises and large multinational corporations.This study provides ideas for the globalization policies of enterprises in developing countries.We consider J Group in western China as a case and discuss its productive investment and global production network development from 2010 to 2019.We found that J Group was‘Partly'globalized,and there are multiple core nodes with the characteristics of centralized and decentralized coexistence in the production network;in addition,the overall layout centre shifted to Southeast Asia and China;however,its global production was restricted by the enterprise's investment security considerations,support and restrictions of the home country,political security risk of the host country,and sanctions from the West.These findings provide insights for future research:under the wave of anti-globalization and'internal circulation as the main body',resource SOEs should consider the potential risk of investment,especially keeping the middle and downstream industrial chain in China as much as possible.

Global Asymptotic Stability of Neural Networks with Time Delay

The global asymptotic stability problem of Cellular neural networks with delay is investigated.A new stability condition is presented based on Lyapunov-Krasovskii method,which is dependent on the size of delay.The result is given in the form of LMI,and the admitted upper bound of the delay can be obtained easily.The time delay dependent and independent results can be obtained,which include some results in the former literature.Finally,a numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the main results.

Evacuated tube transport technologies (ET3)^(tm):a maximum value global transportation network for passengers and cargo

Evacuated Tube Transport Technologies （ET3） offers the potential for more than an order of magnitude improvement in transportation efficiency, speed, cost, and effectiveness. An ET3 network may be optimized to sustainably displace most global transportation by car, ship, truck, train, and jet aircraft. To do this, ET3 standards should adhere to certain key principals： maximum value through efficiency, reliability, and simplicity; equal consideration for passenger and cargo loads; optimum size; high speed/high frequency operation; demand oriented; random accessibility; scalability; high granularity; automated control; full speed passive switching; open standards of implementation; and maximum use of existing capacities, materials, and processes.

Exploring the complex structural evolution of global primary product trade network

The production and trade of primary products had a growing impact on the economic security of all countries and regions,and the strategic position of these products in the global trade network was becoming increasingly prominent.Based on complex network theory,this paper explored the spatial pattern and complex structural evolution of the global primary product trade network(GPPTN)during 1985-2015 by using index methods,such as centrality,Sankey diagram,and structure entropy,focusing on the diversified spatial structure of China’s import and export markets for primary products(with exceptions of Taiwan of China,Hong Kong of China,and Macao of China due to a lack of data)and their geographical implications for China’s energy security.The research offered the following key findings.The GPPTN showed an obvious spatial heterogeneity pattern,and the area of import consumption was more concentrated;however,the overall trend was decentralized.The trade center of gravity shifted eastwards and reflected the rise of emerging markets.The overall flow of the GPPTN was from west to east and from south to north.In terms of the community detection of the GPPTN,North America,Europe,and Asia increasingly presented an unbalanced“tripartite confrontation”.China’s exports of primary products were mainly concentrated in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations(ASEAN)and other peripheral regions of Asia,and its imports undergone a major transformation,gradually expanding from the peripheral regions of Asia to Africa,the Middle East,Latin America,and other parts of the world.Energy fuels also became the largest imported primary products.Based on the changing trend of structural entropy and main market share,the analysis showed that the stable supply of China’s energy diversification was gradually realized.In particular,the cooperation dividend proposed by the Belt and Road initiative became an important turning point and a strong support for the expansion of China’s energy market diversification pattern and guarantee of energy security.

A New Chaotic Parameters Disturbance Annealing Neural Network for Solving Global Optimization Problems

Since there were few chaotic neural networks applicable to the global optimization, in this paper, we proposea new neural network model - chaotic parameters disturbance annealing (CPDA) network, which is superior to otherexisting neural networks, genetic algorithms, and simulated annealing algorithms in global optimization. In the presentCPDA network, we add some chaotic parameters in the energy function, which make the Hopfield neural network escapefrom the attraction of a local minimal solution and with the parameter p1 annealing, our model will converge to theglobal optimal solutions quickly and steadily. The converge ability and other characters are also analyzed in this paper.The benchmark examples show the present CPDA neuralnetwork's merits in nonlinear global optimization.

Parameterless Pruning Algorithms for Similarity-Weight Network and Its Application in Extracting the Backbone of Global Value Chain

Purpose:With the availability and utilization of Inter-Country Input-Output(ICIO)tables,it is possible to construct quantitative indices to assess its impact on the Global Value Chain(GVC).For the sake of visualization,ICIO networks with tremendous low-weight edges are too dense to show the substantial structure.These redundant edges,inevitably make the network data full of noise and eventually exert negative effects on Social Network Analysis(SNA).In this case,we need a method to filter such edges and obtain a sparser network with only the meaningful connections.Design/methodology/approach:In this paper,we propose two parameterless pruning algorithms from the global and local perspectives respectively,then the performance of them is examined using the ICIO table from different databases.Findings:The Searching Paths(SP)method extracts the strongest association paths from the global perspective,while Filtering Edges(FE)method captures the key links according to the local weight ratio.The results show that the FE method can basically include the SP method and become the best solution for the ICIO networks.Research limitations:There are still two limitations in this research.One is that the computational complexity may increase rapidly while processing the large-scale networks,so the proposed method should be further improved.The other is that much more empirical networks should be introduced to testify the scientificity and practicability of our methodology.Practical implications:The network pruning methods we proposed will promote the analysis of the ICIO network,in terms of community detection,link prediction,and spatial econometrics,etc.Also,they can be applied to many other complex networks with similar characteristics.Originality/value:This paper improves the existing research from two aspects,namely,considering the heterogeneity of weights and avoiding the interference of parameters.Therefore,it provides a new idea for the research of network backbone extraction.

GLOBAL ATTRACTIVITY AND GLOBAL EXPONENTIAL STABILITY FOR DELAYED HOPFIELD NEURAL NETWORK MODELS

Some global properties such as global attractivity and global exponential stability for delayed Hopfield neural networks model, under the weaker assumptions on nonlinear activation functions, are concerned. By constructing suitable Liapunov function, some simpler criteria for global attractivity and global exponential stability for Hopfield continuous neural network,; with time delays are presented.

GLOBAL ASYMPTOTIC STABILITY CONDITIONS OF DELAYED NEURAL NETWORKS

Utilizing the Liapunov functional method and combining the inequality of matrices technique to analyze the existence of a unique equilibrium point and the global asymptotic stability for delayed cellular neural networks (DCNNs), a new sufficient criterion ensuring the global stability of DCNNs is obtained. Our criteria provide some parameters to appropriately compensate for the tradeoff between the matrix definite condition on feedback matrix and delayed feedback matrix. The criteria can easily be used to design and verify globally stable networks. Furthermore,the condition presented here is independent of the delay parameter and is less restrictive than that given in the references.

GLOBAL STABILITY IN HOPFIELD NEURAL NETWORKS WITH DISTRIBUTED TIME DELAYS

In this paper, without assuming the boundedness, monotonicity and differentiability of the activation functions, the conditions ensuring existence, uniqueness, and global asymptotical stability of the equilibrium point of Hopfield neural network models with distributed time delays are studied. Using M-matrix theory and constructing proper Liapunov functionals, the sufficient conditions for global asymptotic stability are obtained.

Global asymptotic stability for Hopfield-type neural networks with diffusion effects

The existence, uniqueness and global asymptotic stability for the equilibrium of Hopfield-type neural networks with diffusion effects are studied. When the activation functions are monotonously nondecreasing, differentiable, and the interconnected matrix is related to the Lyapunov diagonal stable matrix, the sufficient conditions guaranteeing the existence of the equilibrium of the system are obtained by applying the topological degree theory. By means of constructing the suitable average Lyapunov functions, the global asymptotic stability of the equilibrium of the system is also investigated. It is shown that the equilibrium （if it exists） is globally asymptotically stable and this implies that the equilibrium of the system is unique.

How Chinese Financial Centers Integrate into Global Financial Center Networks:An Empirical Study Based on Overseas Expansion of Chinese Financial Service Firms

The increasing globalization of the Chinese economy has been enabled by both Chinese financial institutions operating globally as well as international firms operating within China. In geographical terms, this has been organized through a number of strategic cities serving as gateways for the exchange of financial functions, products and practices between China and the global economy. Drawing on location data of financial service firms in China listed on stock exchanges in Shenzhen, Shanghai and Hong Kong, this paper shows that Chinese financial firms are expanding globally and how Chinese financial centers are positioned and connected in the urban networks shaped by these financial service firms. It is found that Hong Kong, China, holds strategic positions in the integration of Chinese cities into global financial center networks, and that establishing a foothold in global financial centers such as New York and London has been a priority for Chinese financial institutions. The increasing capital flows directed by Chinese financial institutionssuggests a shifting global financial geography, with numerous Chinese cities playing increasingly important roles within global financial center networks.

Application of Global Dynamic Reconfiguration in Artificial Neural Network System based on Field Programmable Gate Array

Presented is a global dynamic reconfiguration design of an artificial neural network based on field programmable gate array(FPGA). Discussed are the dynamic reconfiguration principles and methods. Proposed is a global dynamic reconfiguration scheme using Xilinx FPGA and platform flash. Using the revision capabilities of Xilinx XCF32P platform flash, an artificial neural network based on Xilinx XC2V30P Virtex-Ⅱ can be reconfigured dynamically from back propagation(BP) learning algorithms to BP network testing algorithms. The experimental results indicate that the scheme is feasible, and that, using dynamic reconfiguration technology, FPGA resource utilization can be reduced remarkably.

A new result on global exponential robust stability of neural networks with time-varying delays

In this paper, the global exponential robust stability of neural networks with ume-varying delays is investigated. By using nonnegative matrix theory and the Halanay inequality, a new sufficient condition for global exponential robust stability is presented. It is shown that the obtained result is different from or improves some existing ones reported in the literatures. Finally, some numerical examples and a simulation are given to show the effectiveness of the obtained result.

Neural network and genetic algorithm based global path planning in a static environment

Mobile robot global path planning in a static environment is an important problem. The paper proposes a method of global path planning based on neural network and genetic algorithm. We constructed the neural network model of environmental information in the workspace for a robot and used this model to establish the relationship between a collision avoidance path and the output of the model. Then the two-dimensional coding for the path via-points was converted to one-dimensional one and the fitness of both the collision avoidance path and the shortest distance are integrated into a fitness function. The simulation results showed that the proposed method is correct and effective.

Global exponential stability of Cohen-Grossberg neural networks with variable delays

A class of generalized Cohen-Grossberg neural networks（CGNNs） with variable de- lays are investigated. By introducing a new type of Lyapunov functional and applying the homeomorphism theory and inequality technique, some new conditions axe derived ensuring the existence and uniqueness of the equilibrium point and its global exponential stability for CGNNs. These results obtained are independent of delays, develop the existent outcome in the earlier literature and are very easily checked in practice.
