Furthermore, the established and successful philosophy, strategy, technique, and theories of marketing communication in the past are now outdated and unfit for achieving wanted business goals in this information technology era. Besides, information technology inventions have changed people's lifestyle especially the global consumer attitude which is responsible for the commotion in today's implementation of global marketing communications strategies. The models were adjudged r...This paper investigated the growth and policy implications of Global System for Mobile Communication in Nigeria. Stochastic economic modeling was used to analyze Nigeria's time series data. The models were adjudged reliable before they were used. The components of the model were defined and a prior expectation of the relationship among the variables explained for the purpose of giving the reviewers and users a deep insight into the phenomenon under study. The secondary data used for the study were processed using the E-View for windows electronic packages. The outcome of the empirical and stochastic investigations shows that Global System for Mobile Communication has a positive relationship with output growth in Nigeria. The impact is of a higher magnitude. The usage of Global System for Mobile Telecommunication led to 17 percent rise in the output growth. The findings suggest the need for the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) and the federal government of Nigeria to expand tele-density and directly make telephone communications cheap and accessible. To achieve this goal, more licenses should be given to GSM operators in order to allow for healthy competition among them. This will lead to improved quality of services, quality of product and consequently sustain the growth and development of the country.展开更多

The global system for mobile communication(GSM)is planned to meet the needs of the whole subscribers.The number of subscribers increased as the population increased due to the acceptance of GSM services by the subscri...The global system for mobile communication(GSM)is planned to meet the needs of the whole subscribers.The number of subscribers increased as the population increased due to the acceptance of GSM services by the subscribers.Thus,there should be a way to monitor base stations that will meet the increasing demand of subscribers in any area as a population surge will lead to more subscriptions.This will allow GSM network operators to serve their subscribers better and ease network congestion.This work presents a review of mobile evolution from the first generation to the fifth generation.A review of global positioning system(GPS)technology and its applications to geographic information systems(GIS)was done.The coordinates of these base stations were taken using a GPS device.These base station coordinates were then exported to QGIS for the design of the map.Thereafter,the output map was then integrated into the website.The discussions on the results followed and some useful suggestions given will go a long way to help the operators of GSM in Nigeria and in general.If the propositions given are adhered to,it will go a long way to help the operators reduce congestion on their network and thereby increase the satisfaction of the subscribers.展开更多
The tracing of historical origins and disciplinary trajectories enables us to reveal that international communication,as a specific manifestation of global information flow and media evolution,is primarily influenced ...The tracing of historical origins and disciplinary trajectories enables us to reveal that international communication,as a specific manifestation of global information flow and media evolution,is primarily influenced by the interplay of three societal factors:the roots of political conflicts,the catalytic role of economic and technological developments,and the reshaping of values into distinct blocs.These factors intertwine with the awareness of external exploration across different historical periods.Traditional knowledge production in international communication has evolved along two main lines:political economy and cultural studies.These paths have given rise to three major paradigmspropaganda,global communication,and intercultural communicationeach stemming from differing core units of analysis.Together,they have constructed a multifaceted interpretive framework for understanding self-identity and the relationship between self and the external world in the information age since the beginning of the 20th century.This paper argues that on the new journey in the new era,efforts should be made to weaken the attributes of hierarchical control and power conflict derived from the practices of Western industrial societies and the Cold War.In the context of an era marked by the fusion ofnew subjects,new networks,new media,and new values,"there is a need to return to the original purpose of communication:the sharing of information and the collective responsibility it entails.This will enable the construction of a new paradigm driven by Chinese modernization for the exchange and mutual learning of civilizations.Such a paradigm aims to unify humanity around shared values,foster the building of a human community with a shared future,and create new forms ofhuman advancement.展开更多

Low power comsumption prescaler is one of the most critical unit of frequency synthesizer. For the frequency divider, it must be programmable for channel selection in multi-channel communication systems. A dual-modulus prescaler (DMP) is needed to provide variable division ratios. DMP is considered as a critical power dissipative block since it always operates at full speed. This paper introduces a high speed and low power complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) 15/16 DMP based on true single-phase-clock (TSPC) and transmission gates (TGs) cell. A conventional TSPC is optimized in terms of devices size, and it is resimulated. The TSPC is used in the synchronous and asynchronous counter. TGs are used in the control logic. The DMP circuit is implemented in 0.18 μm CMOS process. The simulation results are provided. The results show wide operating frequency range from 7.143 MHz to 4.76 GHz and it comsumes 3.625 mW under 1.8 V power supply voltage at 4.76 GHz.展开更多
During the Nationalist Era, China dealt with its relatively weaker position in the global geopolitics of news communication by forging and managing strategic collaborations with the world's leading news agencies. Thi...During the Nationalist Era, China dealt with its relatively weaker position in the global geopolitics of news communication by forging and managing strategic collaborations with the world's leading news agencies. This study analyzes the case of the bilateral contractual relationship between Reuters and the Guomindang (GMD) government's official news agency, the Central News Agency (CNA). By doing so, the article reveals that in the course of developing useful cooperation with the leading international news agencies to open up inter-institutional and interpersonal channels and networks for disseminating the GMD government's official news and viewpoints abroad, the GMD government and CNA were also confronted with a growing necessity to manage and control protracted contentious, disputes, and even conflicts arising from the party-state's persistent attempts to assert news communication sovereignty. The study also highlights the vital role of Zhao Minheng (1904-61)--a US-educated Chinese journalist in the employment of Reuters--as middleman in the CNA-Reuters relationship. Zhao's career provides us with an important means to analyze CNA's international news-agency relations from transnational and transcultural perspectives.展开更多
