Insights into microbiota community dynamics and flavor development mechanism during golden pomfret(Trachinotus ovatus)fermentation based on single-molecule real-time sequencing and molecular networking analysis

Popular fermented golden pomfret(Trachinotus ovatus)is prepared via spontaneous fermentation;however,the mechanisms underlying the regulation of its flavor development remain unclear.This study shows the roles of the complex microbiota and the dynamic changes in microbial community and flavor compounds during fish fermentation.Single-molecule real-time sequencing and molecular networking analysis revealed the correlations among different microbial genera and the relationships between microbial taxa and volatile compounds.Mechanisms underlying flavor development were also elucidated via KEGG based functional annotations.Clostridium,Shewanella,and Staphylococcus were the dominant microbial genera.Forty-nine volatile compounds were detected in the fermented fish samples,with thirteen identified as characteristic volatile compounds(ROAV>1).Volatile profiles resulted from the interactions among the microorganisms and derived enzymes,with the main metabolic pathways being amino acid biosynthesis/metabolism,carbon metabolism,and glycolysis/gluconeogenesis.This study demonstrated the approaches for distinguishing key microbiota associated with volatile compounds and monitoring the industrial production of high-quality fermented fish products.

Highly Accurate Golden Section Search Algorithms and Fictitious Time Integration Method for Solving Nonlinear Eigenvalue Problems

This study sets up two new merit functions,which are minimized for the detection of real eigenvalue and complex eigenvalue to address nonlinear eigenvalue problems.For each eigen-parameter the vector variable is solved from a nonhomogeneous linear system obtained by reducing the number of eigen-equation one less,where one of the nonzero components of the eigenvector is normalized to the unit and moves the column containing that component to the right-hand side as a nonzero input vector.1D and 2D golden section search algorithms are employed to minimize the merit functions to locate real and complex eigenvalues.Simultaneously,the real and complex eigenvectors can be computed very accurately.A simpler approach to the nonlinear eigenvalue problems is proposed,which implements a normalization condition for the uniqueness of the eigenvector into the eigenequation directly.The real eigenvalues can be computed by the fictitious time integration method(FTIM),which saves computational costs compared to the one-dimensional golden section search algorithm(1D GSSA).The simpler method is also combined with the Newton iterationmethod,which is convergent very fast.All the proposed methods are easily programmed to compute the eigenvalue and eigenvector with high accuracy and efficiency.

Effect Evalution of Xiulijing on Fruit Rust Control of Golden Delicious Apple

[Objectives]The paper was to evaluate the effectiveness of Xiulijing in the management of rust in Golden Delicious apple cultivation.[Methods]The Golden Delicious apple was utilized as the test material.During the young fruit stage,various dilutions of Xiulijing were applied,specifically at concentrations of 200,400,600,800,1000,and 2000 times.Additionally,both the application of a 3000-fold dilution of GA 4+7 and the practice of fruit bagging were designated as the control treatments,while a water spray was utilized as the blank control.The fruit rust index and the incidence of rust-infected fruits were evaluated to assess the effectiveness of control measures for fruit rust in Golden Delicious apple cultivation.[Results]The application of Xiulijing,with dilutions ranging from 200 to 2000 times,exhibited a significant impact on reducing both the fruit rust index and the incidence of rust-infected fruits in Golden Delicious apples.The application of a 1000-fold dilution of Xiulijing resulted in a statistically significant reduction in both the fruit rust index and the incidence of rust-infected fruits,with reduction rates of 21.1%and 31.5%,respectively.Among the various strategies for the prevention and control of apple rust,fruit bagging emerged as the most effective method.The other two technical measures demonstrated significant control effects;however,no substantial differences were observed between them.[Conclusions]The biological control agent Xiulijing is more deserving of promotion and application in practical production due to its significantly superior economic benefits,safety,and stability.

Dental Precautions for the Golden Thread Lift Procedure

In cosmetic surgery, golden threads have been used in thread lift procedures, wherein golden threads are placed under the skin of the neck and chin. These are mainly applied in the maxillofacial region adjacent to the sites of dental treatment to achieve cosmetic benefits. However, as dentists typically lack sufficient knowledge about the golden thread lift procedure, it may present a challenge to dental examinations and treatments. It is therefore crucial for dentists to have a comprehensive understanding of the procedure. This case report covers our experience with the dental examination of a patient with golden threads. We emphasize the dental complications and precautions that should be taken for such cases. These golden threads are made of pure gold, nonabsorbable, and can be broken. These can obstruct dental examination, as well as cause metal allergies and foreign body granulomas. Additionally, it is difficult to completely remove these threads when they break apart. In the future, since more patients are expected to undergo this procedure, it is possible to encounter these golden threads as artifacts on imaging. Therefore, it is important to educate dentists about the golden thread lift procedure and its dental implications. It is also imperative to determine whether the patient has undergone the golden thread lift procedure in the medical questionnaire prior to the magnetic resonance imaging examination. Thus, dentists should be able to conduct a detailed interview with the patient, determine the feasibility of examination or treatment, and communicate this assessment to the patient.

Litter Productivity and Nutrient Return Characteristics of Three Typical Forest Stands in Golden Mountain

Objective: The paper aims to analyze the dynamic characteristics of litter production and nutrient return of the forest ecosystems in subtropical areas, and provide a theoretical basis for the nutrient cycling study in southwest Hubei Province and carbon sink function of the whole forest ecosystem. Methods: Three typical forest stands (Chinese fir plantation, Cryptomeria fortunei plantation and evergreen and deciduous broad-leaved mixed forest) in Golden Mountain Forest Farm in southwest Hubei Province were investigated and monitored continuously for the litter types and productivity and nutrient return. Results: The annual litter productivity of the three forest stands ranged from 161.77 to 396.26 kg·hm-2;Litters of branches, leaves and reproductive organs accounted for 14.14% - 20.85%, 33.26% - 78.33%, 7.52% - 42.18% of the total, respectively;The litter productivity and total litter productivity of each composition in the three forest stands show unimodal or bimodal changes over months, and the total litter productivity reached the highest value in January, April and October respectively. For different nutrient contents of the three forest stands, the common feature is C > N. The order of nutrient return amount from greatest to least is evergreen and deciduous broad-leaved mixed forest, Cryptomeria fortunei plantation and Chinese fir plantation. For different nutrient return amounts, the common feature is C > N, and the nutrient return amounts are 76.51-180.69 kg·hm-2 and 2.3 - 5.71 kg·hm-2 respectively. Conclusion: The annual litter productivity and nutrient return amount of the evergreen and deciduous broad-leaved mixed forest are the highest among the three forest stands. Therefore, protecting the evergreen and deciduous broad-leaved mixed forest and studying the litter changes of Chinese fir plantation and Cryptomeria fortunei plantation are of far-reaching significance for the development of sustainable forest management in this region and the further improvement of the carbon sequestration function of the whole forest ecosystem.

A symmetrical quartic polynomial, named golden one, can be connected to coefficients of the icosahedron equation as well as to the gyromagnetic correction of the electron and to number 137. 三维绘图软件Golden Software Voxler已广泛应用于地质勘探、水质分析、空气污染监测等方面,而在土壤污染方面的应用较少。根据对某污染场地前期的调查与研究,确定了该场地的土壤关注污染物为重金属镍。运用Voxler 3.0对污染物监测数据进行处理,绘制污染物的钻孔轨迹图、三向切片图以及体积渲染图。结果显示镍主要集中分布在场地东北部地表以下50~250 cm范围内,浓度随着深度增加而减小且有向下扩散的趋势。Voxler的应用为污染物在土壤中的空间分布提供了可视化表达,从而为后续的风险评估和污染防治工作提供数据支撑。

A Record of the Invasive Golden Apple Snail Pomacea canaliculata (Lamarck 1819) at Black Dragon Spring,Dianchi Basin

The golden apple snail Pomacea canaliculata （Lamarck 1819） was first recorded at Black Dragon Spring, Dianchi Basin, Baiyi Township, Songming County, Kunming City, Yunnan Province, China, in October 2004. The water from the spring flows into the Songhuaba Reservoir, the major drinking water resource for Kunming City, and part of the Dianchi Lake basin. This is the first record of this invasive snail in the Dianchi Lake Basin. Pomacea canaliculata originates from Central and South America, and in Asia the snail has spread through deliberate and accidental introductions to the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Korea, Japan and South China. It has become a major pest in rice-growing areas, resulting in huge damage to crops. Strict prevention and control measures have to be implemented to prevent the spread of the snail in Yunnan, together with public awareness campaigns to inform the public of the dangers of this invasive snail.

坦桑尼亚Nzega绿岩带Golden Pride金矿床研究进展

本文对Golden Pride金矿床已有研究成果做了初步总结,较系统地整理分析了矿床地质特征,如矿体分布形态、矿石特征、矿物共生组合和蚀变特征,以及与矿床成因有关的流体包裹体特征、硫同位素特征和铅同位素年代学。通过以述分析,作者建立了矿床成矿模型。作者认为诸多的证据支持如下结论:①金矿床可能属于太古宙造山型金矿床;②金矿床构造控矿特征明显,同时可能经历了后期的热液叠加作用;③金矿床的成矿时代大约是2680 Ma。

Diurnal activity rhythms and time budgets of captive Qinling golden takin(Budorcas taxicolor bedfordi) in the Qinling Mountains,Shaanxi,China

In July 2006, the diurnal activity rhythms of 13 heads of captive Qinling golden takin were observed in Shaanxi Provincial Centre for the Breeding and Conservation of Rare Wildlife （SPCBCRW） at daylight （from 9：00 am to 4：00 pm in July）. The behavioral ethnogram was identified through observation at the sampling site, with the behaviors of golden takin recorded at 5 min interval using instantaneous scannable sampling method. The results indicated that the resting of golden takin took an important part in the daylight activities. Meanwhile, drinking and urinating and defecating were 1.92 and 0.54 and 0.92 times per head per day. Ambient temperature had a strong effect on the diurnal activity rhythms of golden takin. The diurnal activity rhymes were affected by ages of the animals effectively, which was expressed through differentiation of the time budgets. Moreover, different individuals in the same population showed some non-synchronously activity rhythms.

In vitro Antimicrobial Activity of Golden Buckwheat Extract and Therapeutic Effect of its Preparation on Chicken Mycoplasma Infection

[Objective] This study aimed to identify the in vitro antibacterial activity of golden buckwheat extract and investigate the therapeutic effect of its preparation on mycoplasma infection. [Method] Through measuring the minimum inhibitory concentra-tion, the in vitro antibacterial activity of golden buckwheat water extract was deter-mined; meanwhile, the therapeutic effect of golden buckwheat oral solution on my-coplasma infection was determined by artificial y infecting chickens with Mycoplasma gal isepticum culture. [Results] The golden buckwheat water extract had obvious in-hibitory effects against Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli, and a certain inhibitory effect on Salmonel a and Staphylococcus aureus; administration of golden buckwheat oral solution at the dose of 0.5%-1.0% continuously for 5 d had a good therapeutic effect against mycoplasma infection. [Conclusion] The study provides sci-entific bases for further study on the antibacterial activity of golden buckwheat and its application.

Screening of Saprolegniasis Preventive Drugs for Golden Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) Fertilized Eggs During Hatching

In order to screen the effective preventive drugs for saprolegniasis occurred during hatching of the fertilized eggs of golden trout, effects of two kinds of self-made Chinese herbal compounds（AB） and two kinds of chemical bactericides（peroxyacetic acid andhydrogen peroxide, CD） with three disinfection concentrations were compared in this study. The fertilized eggs of golden trout were randomly divided into 13 groups, each group with two parallels of 1 000 eggs. Drugs at high,medium and low concentration were respectively used to immerse the fertilized eggs35 min for disinfection once a day. The numbers of live and dead eggs were recorded each day before disinfection and the numbers of survival eyed eggs were counted in each experimental group after finishing the whole test. The results indicated that all of four kinds of drugs used here had a certain effect on prevention and control of saprolegniasis during hatching of fertilized eggs of golden trout, and also showed a correlation between the concentrations and effects. After the selection of several drugs, we found that group B-medium, C-medium and D-high exhibited the most remarkable effects on control of saprolegniasis. However, careful consideration should be given to chemical drugs residues and their potential hazard to the eyed eggs. Therefore, Chinese herbal compound B was suggested to be used for prevention and control of saprolegniasis to achieve the healthy aquaculture. And the concentration and operation time of Chinese herbal compound B should be strictly controlled when used in disinfection of fertilized eggs.

Comparative Study on the Infrared Spectra of Straight Guard Hairs of Leopard Cat and Golden Cat

[Objective] The paper was to compare the infrared spectra of straight guard hairs of leopard cat and golden cat. [Method] The straight guard hairs of leopard cat and golden cat were detected and analyzed by FTIR （Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy）. [Result] There was significant interspecific difference in the infrared spectra and second derivative spectra for the middle part of guard hair. An evident M-shaped bimodal absorption peak appeared in golden cat at 648 and 654 cm-1, respectively, while did not appear in leopard cat. The second derivative spec-tra of golden cat at wave numbers from 709 to 763 cm -1 were mainly unimodal peaks with strong peak intensity, while that of leopard cat mainly was M-shaped bi-modal absorption peak with weak peak intensity. It indicated that there was obvious difference in the structure of protein side chain in guard hairs of these two animals. [Conclusion] The FTIR analysis showed great application foreground in the study of animal hairs for interspecific identification.
