Methods: All 28 MNS 2020th graduate students in a university were selected as subjects by convenient sampling method, using the improved 4-station objective structured examination (Objective Structured Clinical Examination, OSCE) model. The assessment content included nursing assessment, nursing diagnosis, basic nursing operation, specialist nursing operation, theoretical written test and oral test and overall evaluation. And self-made questionnaire was used to evaluate the effect of the assessment model and the improvement of clinical practice ability of graduate students. Results: The overall satisfaction rate of graduation assessment was 89.51%, the overall satisfaction rate of graduation assessment mode and practical ability improvement evaluation was 84.66%, the pass rate of assessment results was 100%, and the excellent rate was 71.42%. Conclusion: The MNS graduation practical ability assessment model has a high degree of satisfaction, objectively evaluates the knowledge, skills, attitudes and emotions of graduate students, promotes the comprehensive quality and ability of graduate students, which is worthy of promotion.展开更多

Purpose:To explore the feasibility of using graduate students as preceptors in the clinical education of medical nursing students.Methods:Five second-year graduate nursing students were recruited to participate in the...Purpose:To explore the feasibility of using graduate students as preceptors in the clinical education of medical nursing students.Methods:Five second-year graduate nursing students were recruited to participate in the clinical teaching of medical nursing for 38 undergraduates in the first semester of the 2010 e2011 academic year,divided into two groups.The first group first received clinical teaching in caring for respiratory diseases from graduate preceptors for six weeks followed by clinical teaching in caring for circulatory diseases from nurse preceptors for six weeks.The second group received clinical teaching in the reverse order,from the nurse preceptors followed by the graduate student preceptors.Following training,all students were examined with a written test and scores were compared.In addition,review meetings were held to evaluate the teaching outcomes.Results:No significant differences in test scores were observed between the two teaching groups.Undergraduate student feedback indicated that the training provided by the graduate students was satisfactory,and the medical nursing course leader was satisfied with the teaching outcome with a few exceptions.Conclusion:These data indicate that graduate students are capable of training undergraduates in medical nursing,although some areas can be improved.展开更多

The traditional recruitment process fulfills neither the recruiter needs nor the job seeker ambitions. Nowadays, companies use their website or social media to announce job vacancy whereas job seekers usually use job portal to market their abilities and skills. All these can be put on one recruitment website to improve the process for both parties. The proposed system will build an online E-recruitment system for recruiters (companies) and job seekers that will help them to interact with each other and to match their expectations. This system will be developed using Hyper Text pre-processor (PHP), Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML), Cascading Style Sheet (CSS), JQ, MySQL, and XMMAP. Moreover, the recent human computer interaction (HCI) concepts will apply to provide good user experience through simple, clear, and modern interfaces. Our E-recruitment system is directed to all graduated students from university in all programs. The system allows the recruiters (companies) to post announcement for job vacancy and to search for job seeker or about another company, and to view the applied job. For the job seeker it allows graduate student to search for job, apply for the available opportunities, upload CV, and setup his own profile. Finally, this study will help to improve the experience and break the difficulties that present in the recruitment process as well as support the human resource (HR) department in companies and other sectors. A leading role is unimaginable to them and h...All engineering students need to develop their important skills of leadership in project management. Many students have never been leaders in their social and school lives. A leading role is unimaginable to them and hence they cannot imagine how to achieve it. The purpose of this paper is to report a result of a new leadership education program which links a variety of simulated experiences with real actions of students in project based learning (PBL) to develop their leadership ability. The first step is for graduate students to gain knowledge in the leadership arena. Then, they utilize simulation to experience leadership actions many times. Simulation provides a safe environment in which they can try out many different approaches in taking leadership in various situations. In the next step, students as a team utilize PBL, so that the above simulated experiences can help them to actually take leadership. Students can apply trained leadership to actual projects. It is highly effective to apply conscious leadership to a project aimed at a specific goal in limited circumstances. This education repeats both of the steps above, raising leadership abilities in an upward spiral. In terms of students' evaluation of leadership education in project management, 360-degree assessments were carried out by teachers, senior, and junior students before and after the course, and authors compare their assessments thoroughly. As a result, authors are assured that students not only gained knowledge but also raised leadership abilities in their actions after this education. Six months after the time of leadership education employing simulated experiences and PBL, follow-up interviews were conducted on its effects. Authors recognized the cyclic period that students apply simulated experiences to PBL and that they seek different approaches in simulation for solving problems found in reality. This research concludes that this cycle of simulator and PBL can produce effective leadership actions.展开更多

The objective of this paper is to contribute to promote, in each EU country and elsewhere, the process of harmonisation of agricultural/biosystems engineering degree study programs, and student and graduate mobility within the EU, as well as between the EU and the USA. At present, in Europe, this harmonisation process is aided by the key results of the projects of USAEE-TN, ERABEE-TN and POMSEBES. USAEE developed some core curricula, to be used as benchmarks for European agricultural/biosystems engineering degree study programs, and a web-based database of these study programs. ERABEE promoted the transition from agricultural engineering to biosystems engineering and established the recognition procedures of new European study programs in biosystems engineering. The EU-US POMSEBES consortium built up a platform for exchange of experiences and ideas between the USA and the EU, aimed at: enhancing the quality and linkage of research and education; establishing appropriate policy oriented measures; promoting compatible degree study programs in biosystems engineering, within the EU as well as between the EU and the USA.展开更多

An IL course was designed by subject librarians of National Science Library(NSL), Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS), with three patterns addressing the development of graduate students' IL competencies.Research limitations: It is only about the practice of subject librarians at NSL, CAS, in designing IL courses for graduate students enrolling in graduate courses offered by College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, GUCAS.Practical implications: The results can provide a lot of useful information for the improvement of IL competencies of graduate students in science and technology disciplines.Originality/value: It is significant for assisting future subject librarians in incorporating IL skills into their course, especially for academic and research librarians to prepare and develop IL courses for science and engineering graduate students.展开更多

Finally, the results show the average score of 4.72 out of 5, indicating that the users are feeling enjoyable while using the application features and the system is easy to use.
文摘This study addressed the causal association of entrepreneurial performance as predicted by entrepreneurial skills and innovative behavior.Respondents of this research comprised 205 business graduate students from colleges and universities in SOCSARGEN Region in the Philippines.In a quantitative design and through purposive sampling,survey questionnaires were adopted,validated,and utilized.The researcher used the mean and multiple regression as tools in analyzing the data.Findings revealed that business graduate students’entrepreneurial skills,innovative behavior,and entrepreneurial performance were high.This means that business graduate students possessed entrepreneurial skills,innovative behavior was evident,and a very satisfactory entrepreneurial performance.On the individual capacity,entrepreneurial skills did not significantly influence business performance while innovative behavior significantly influenced entrepreneurial performance.

文摘Smart education is the future and development direction of higher education.Taking the graduate course Crime and Police Theory as the research subject,the shortcomings of smart education,which include the lack of understanding of the concept of smart education,the limited content structure of smart education,the poor cognition of smart education among teachers and students,and inadequate hardware and technical support for smart education,are systematically analyzed.In view of these shortcomings,several strategies are proposed,including improving the smart education curriculum development plan and management level,ensuring the construction quality of smart education projects,and raising funds for smart education construction from various sources.
文摘A problem on the employment market swarming with both multitudinous common job-seekers and graduates was studied. The employment situation in the market was analyzed firstly. Based on the analysis, the situation was dynamically modeled. The model was properly processed and simplified. A control model corresponding to the method was deduced. As a result, a control solution for the model is obtained, and an example with Simulink demonstrates the control effect. By means of the proposed method, an optimal control for the dynamic balance between multitudinous common job-seekers and graduates can be obtained.

文摘Objective:To explore experiences of Chinese nurses who study for Master of Science in Professional Practice(health care)in the United Kingdom.Methods:A qualitative approach was applied,consisting of semi-structured telephone interviews(n=8).The Colaizzi seven-step framework analysis method was used to extract themes.Results:The themes that emerged are as follows:(1)gains from studying overseas,(2)difficulties during studying,and(3)impacts of learning experience on work.The gains for nurses studying overseas include the improvement of scientific research capabilities,reconstruction of critical thinking,and development of reflection ability.Difficulties while studying mainly include language barrier,strict assessment,and boring life.Conclusions:The education of nursing postgraduate attaches impor tance to the cultivation of thinking.Nurses are very interested in nursing research including qualitative and quantitative methods.Nurses encountered language barriers in their study and life even though they knew a cer tain level of English.
文摘All engineering students need to develop their important skills of leadership in project management. Many students have never been leaders in their social and school lives. A leading role is unimaginable to them and hence they cannot imagine how to achieve it. The purpose of this paper is to report a result of a new leadership education program which links a variety of simulated experiences with real actions of students in project based learning (PBL) to develop their leadership ability. The first step is for graduate students to gain knowledge in the leadership arena. Then, they utilize simulation to experience leadership actions many times. Simulation provides a safe environment in which they can try out many different approaches in taking leadership in various situations. In the next step, students as a team utilize PBL, so that the above simulated experiences can help them to actually take leadership. Students can apply trained leadership to actual projects. It is highly effective to apply conscious leadership to a project aimed at a specific goal in limited circumstances. This education repeats both of the steps above, raising leadership abilities in an upward spiral. In terms of students' evaluation of leadership education in project management, 360-degree assessments were carried out by teachers, senior, and junior students before and after the course, and authors compare their assessments thoroughly. As a result, authors are assured that students not only gained knowledge but also raised leadership abilities in their actions after this education. Six months after the time of leadership education employing simulated experiences and PBL, follow-up interviews were conducted on its effects. Authors recognized the cyclic period that students apply simulated experiences to PBL and that they seek different approaches in simulation for solving problems found in reality. This research concludes that this cycle of simulator and PBL can produce effective leadership actions.
文摘This paper describes the history of the harmonisation of agricultural/biosystems engineering degree study programs in Europe from 1989, when the need for this process was widely felt, until now, when this need was partly satisfied through the implementation of the projects of two EU funded thematic networks, i.e., USAEE-TN and ERABEE-TN. The objective of this paper is to contribute to promote, in each EU country and elsewhere, the process of harmonisation of agricultural/biosystems engineering degree study programs, and student and graduate mobility within the EU, as well as between the EU and the USA. At present, in Europe, this harmonisation process is aided by the key results of the projects of USAEE-TN, ERABEE-TN and POMSEBES. USAEE developed some core curricula, to be used as benchmarks for European agricultural/biosystems engineering degree study programs, and a web-based database of these study programs. ERABEE promoted the transition from agricultural engineering to biosystems engineering and established the recognition procedures of new European study programs in biosystems engineering. The EU-US POMSEBES consortium built up a platform for exchange of experiences and ideas between the USA and the EU, aimed at: enhancing the quality and linkage of research and education; establishing appropriate policy oriented measures; promoting compatible degree study programs in biosystems engineering, within the EU as well as between the EU and the USA.

文摘Tutors and graduate students are a force that can not be ignored in the scientific research team of colleges and universities.Understanding the construction of the ubiquitous influence of mentors on graduate students is of great significance to strengthen the ubiquitous influence among students,promote the interaction between teachers and students,and improve the quality of graduate education in colleges and universities.Based on 28 interview data,this paper collates and analyzes the ubiquitous influence by using Nvivo11.0 software,and summarizes the ubiquitous influence into three aspects,namely,the basis of ubiquitous influence-spatio-temporal dispersion,the process-mode diversity of ubiquitous influence,and the comprehensiveness of the result-result of ubiquitous influence,and constructs the concept of tutor’s ubiquitous influence on graduate students.

文摘Purpose: This paper aims to explore best practices in academic and research libraries in providing information literacy(IL) instruction to science and engineering graduate students.Design/methodology/approach: Using the questionnaire survey method, we conducted an IL assessment study on 114 graduate students enrolling in graduate courses offered by College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Graduate University of Chinese Academy of Sciences(GUCAS).Findings: The current situation of graduate students' IL competencies and the need to develop them are revealed. An IL course was designed by subject librarians of National Science Library(NSL), Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS), with three patterns addressing the development of graduate students' IL competencies.Research limitations: It is only about the practice of subject librarians at NSL, CAS, in designing IL courses for graduate students enrolling in graduate courses offered by College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, GUCAS.Practical implications: The results can provide a lot of useful information for the improvement of IL competencies of graduate students in science and technology disciplines.Originality/value: It is significant for assisting future subject librarians in incorporating IL skills into their course, especially for academic and research librarians to prepare and develop IL courses for science and engineering graduate students.
