It is designed to find a suitable controller that minimizes the performance index of error signal subject to an unequal constraint on the norm of the closed-loop system. Although the mixed H2/H∞ for the output feedback approach control is considered as a robust and optimal control technique, the design process normally comes up with a complex and non-convex optimization problem, which is difficult to solve by the conventional optimization methods. The PSO can efficiently solve design problems of multi-input-multi-output (MIMO) optimal control systems, which is very suitable for practical engineering designs. It is used to search for parameters of a structure-specified controller, which satisfies mixed performance index. The simulation and experimental results show high feasibility, robustness and practical value compared with the conventional proportional-integral-derivative (PID) and proportional-Integral (PI) controller, and the proposed algorithm is also more efficient compared with the genetic algorithm (GA).展开更多

Due to the requirements for environmental protection and energy saving in recent years, waste water processing and hydrometallurgical process of concentrate have been greatly developed. The construction of E pH diagrams has turned to multi component systems. However, there are some limits in plotting such diagrams. There is only one diagram for one multi component system, which can not reflect the truth of the aqueous reaction. In the paper, a new computation method is proposed to construct E pH diagrams. Component activity term is used to determine the boundary of stable areas. For the multi component systems, different atom ratios of elements have been taken into account. In order to obtain satisfactory steering feel, robust performance and steering stability, models of EPS system and a two-degree- of-freedom car are set up, then the state space model and the augmented matrixes are built. The H∞, method is introduced to minimize the effect of disturbances on the outputs, and the H2 method is applied to optimizing the system performance based on genetic algorithm. The simulation results show that the modified mixed H2/H∞ controller, which synthesizes the advantage of H2 control and Ha, control, has better robust performance and robust stability. The designed controller can attenuate the noises and disturbances caused by road random motivation, torque sensor measurement and model parameter uncertainty, enabling the driver to obtain satisfactory road feel.展开更多
