RING finger E3 ligases play an important role in regulating plant growth and development by mediating substrate degradation.In this study,we identified TaGW2L,encoding a Grain width and weight2(GW2)-like RING finger E...RING finger E3 ligases play an important role in regulating plant growth and development by mediating substrate degradation.In this study,we identified TaGW2L,encoding a Grain width and weight2(GW2)-like RING finger E3 ligase,as a novel positive regulator of heading date in wheat(Triticum aestivum L.).TaGW2L exhibited high amino acid sequence similarities with TaGW2 homoeologs,particularly in the conserved RING finger domain.Expression analysis indicated that TaGW2L was constitutively expressed in various wheat tissues.TaGW2L showed transactivation activity in yeast and could interact with the ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes E2_(s).An in vitro ubiquitination assay verified that TaGW2L possessed a similar E3 ligase activity to TaGW2.Overexpression of the TaGW2L-7A homoeolog in wheat led to a significantly earlier heading date under both natural conditions and long-day conditions.Transcriptome analysis revealed that multiple known genes positively regulating wheat heading were significantly upregulated in the TaGW2L-7A-overexpression plants compared with the wild-type control.Together,our findings shed light on the role of TaGW2L in wheat heading date and provide potential applications of TaGW2L for the adaptation improvement of crops.展开更多

It is shown that the system admits a solution with two concentric ring solitons, one moving inwards and the other moving outwards, which in small-amplitude limit, are described by the two cylindrical KdV equations in the respective reference frames. By using the extended Poincaré-Lighthill-Kuo perturbation method, the analytical phase shifts following the head-on collisions between two ring dark solitary waves are derived. It is shown that the phase shifts decrease with the radial coordinate r according to the r-1/3 law and depend on the initial soliton amplitude and radius.展开更多

To reconstruct the dinosaur head, several features and functions of the head must be studied, namely osteology, musculature and sof...This paper presents the current knowledge about the reconstruction of dinosaur heads. To reconstruct the dinosaur head, several features and functions of the head must be studied, namely osteology, musculature and soft tissue of the head, cranial kinesis, craniodental biomechanical characteristics, posterior part of the cranium, skin, and others. The main steps and points resulting from the study are the following. Firstly, the osteological remains of the head are studied for reconstruction according to the correct size and form in comparison with known remains belonging to the same family in case the remains were not complete. As the dinosaurs did not have facial muscles, their skin was pressed directly to the skull. The skin covering the large openings in front of the orbits of many dinosaurs probably bulged gently outward, and similarly, the jaw muscles bulged gently from the skull openings. Also, an investigation is performed to decide if sauropods were terrestrial or aquatic animals. Then, the individual characteristics of the head are examined in detail. These concern: 1) endocranial cast and nerves, 2) nostrils position, 3) the existence and kind of cheeks and lips, 4) Teeth types and function, 5) the palate shape and skin covering, 6) hyoid apparatus and tongues, 7) the details of the ear, 8) sclerotic rings and eyes, 9) skin and color. With the knowledge gathered about the various parts of the head in mind, decisions are made about the Amargasaurus (a sauropod) head in order to reconstruct a 3D, actual size head, as a worked example. Finally, the reconstruction procedure is described in detail.展开更多
Metal droplet deposition is a kind of additive manufacturing(3D Printing)technique that fabricates near-net part through droplets deposition with lower cost and higher efficiency.This paper proposed a solution to prob...Metal droplet deposition is a kind of additive manufacturing(3D Printing)technique that fabricates near-net part through droplets deposition with lower cost and higher efficiency.This paper proposed a solution to problems of electric power fittings that large inventories,high procurement costs,low manufacturing efficiency and transportation cost.Using additive Manufacturing technique-metal droplet deposition,electric power fittings fabricated on power construction site.This paper describes the manufacturing process of typical thin-walled samples(the structure optimized based on additive manufacturing principle)and ball head rings of electric power fittings.Aiming at the integral AM forming for ball and ball socket electric power fitting workpiece,a novel easy removal forming support material(ceramics and gypsum mixed with UV cured resin)have been developed.Here this support material was used to fabricate nested integral workpieces.Dimensional accuracy and microstructure of the test pieces were analyzed.The error of the height and width of the forming workpiece is within 5%.No obvious overlap trace(such as overlap line and cracks)observed,and the internal microstructure is equiaxial crystal.The average density of the component is 99.51%,which measured by drainage method and 13.39%higher than the cast raw material.展开更多
