Further research showed that a 561 bp open read frame was present in the SR07 fragment. Plant expression vector of pCAMBIA-SR07 was constructed and three transformants of tobacco (Nicotiana tobacum) mediated by Agrobacterium tumefaciens plasmid were obtained. Resistance to salt, PEG, and mannitol stresses of the three transformants were examined. No significant difference (P 〉 0.05) was observed between the control and the transformants in resistance to salt stress, but there was significant difference (P 〈 0.05) between the control and the transformants in resistance to PEG and mannitol stresses. Therefore, the expression of the SR07 fragment may play an important role in the water regulation of the plant.展开更多

In this ...Tempering is an important process for T/P92 ferritic heat-resistant steel from the viewpoint of microstructure control, as it facili- tates the formation of final tempered martensite under serving conditions. In this study, we have gained deeper insights on the mechanism underlying the microstructural evolution during tempering treatment, including the precipitation of carbides and the coarsening of martensite laths, as systematically analyzed by optical microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and high-resolution transmission electron mi- croscopy. The chemical composition of the precipitates was analyzed using energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. Results indicate the for- mation of M3C (cementite) precipitates under normalized conditions. However, they tend to dissolve within a short time of tempering, owing to their low thermal stability. This phenomenon was substantiated by X-ray diffraction analysis. Besides, we could observe the precipitation of fine carbonitrides (MX) along the dislocations. The mechanism of carbon diffusion controlled growth of M23C6 can be expressed by the Zener's equation. The movement of Y-junctions was determined to be the fundamental mechanism underlying the martensite lath coarsening process. Vickers hardness was estimated to determine their mechanical properties. Based on the comprehensive analysis of both the micro- structural evolution and hardness variation, the process of tempering can be separated into three steps.展开更多

Influence of long term creep at elevated temperature on the structure of 2.25Cr-1.6W-V-Nb steel was studied in this paper, and the micromechanism of creep strength degradation was elucidated, too. Both TEM observation and thermodynamic calculation reveal that during creep the transformation occurs from M7C3 and M23C6 to M6C, which can be cavity nucleation sites. Besides, creep at 600癈 also leads to the decrease of dislocation density, the coarsening and coalescence of M23C6, the nucleation of cavities and development of cracks. The strength decrease of 2.25Cr-1.6W-V-Nb steel after long term creep is related to the decrease of dislocation hardening, precipitation hardening, solution hardening, the nucleation of cavities and development of cracks.展开更多

To investigate the coarsening behavior and the growth mechanism of MX carbonitrides during long-term aging, experiments were performed at 700, 800, 850, and 900℃ for different periods (1, 24, 70, and 100 h). The precipitation behavior of carbonitrides in specimens subjected to various aging conditions was explored using carbon replicas and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) observations. The corresponding sizes ofMX carbonitrides were measured. The results demonstrates that MX carbonitrides precipitate in type 347H austenitic steel as Nb(C,N). The coarsening rate constant is time-independent; however, an increase in aging temperature results in an increase in coarsening rate of Nb(C,N). The coarsening process was analyzed according to the calculated diffusion activation energy of Nb(C,N). When the aging temperature was 800-900℃, the mean activation energy was 294 kJ·mol -1, and the coarsening behavior was controlled primarily by the diffusion of Nb atoms.展开更多

Optical microscopy, X ray diffractometry and transmission electron microscopy were used to analyze its morphologies and microstructures. The results show that the microstructures of the pipe blank are homogeneous and the precipitates are uniformly distributed d 25~70 nm spherical or sphere like Al 12 (Fe,V) 3Si particles, its mechanical properties at room temperature and 350 ℃ after densification by extrusion are σ b=412 MPa, δ =7.6% and σ b=187 MPa, δ =7.6%, respectively. The analyses indicate that the proper match of the motion rates of atomizer and substrate can produce deposited blanks with uniform thickness and relatively high cooling rate.展开更多

By the oxidation weight gain method, the oxidation resistances of the test alloys were determined at 1,200 ℃ for 500 hours. According to the oxidation weight gains, the oxidation kinetic curves were plotted and the functions were regressed by the least squares method. The results show that the oxidation kinetic curves follow the power function of y = ax^b (a〉0, 0〈b〈1). The effects of scale compositions on oxidation resistance were studied further by analyses using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). It is found that the composite scale compounds of Cr203, a-Al2O3, SiO2 and FeCr2O4, with compact structure and tiny grains, shows complete oxidation resistance at 1,200℃. When the composite scale lacks a-Al2O3 or SiO2, it becomes weak in oxidation resistance with a loose structure. By the criterion of standard Gibbs formation free energy, the model of the nucleation and growth of the composite scale is established. The forming of the composite scale is the result of the competition of being oxidized and reduced between aluminum, silicon and the matrix metal elements of iron, chromium and nickel. The protection of the composite scale is analyzed essentially by electrical conductivity and strength properties.展开更多

In order to determine the relationship between stomatal characteristics and plant drought resistance, photosynthetic and stomatal characteristics and water use efficiency(WUE) were studied in two wheat cultivars: the drought-resistant cultivar ‘Changhan 58' and the drought-sensitive cultivar ‘Xinong 9871'. Plants of both cultivars were grown in pot conditions under well-watered(WW) and water-stressed(WS) conditions. In both water regimes,‘Changhan 58' showed a significantly higher ear photosynthetic rate with a lower rate of variation and a significantly higher percentage variation of transpiration compared to control plants at the heading stage under WS conditions than did ‘Xinong 9871' plants. Moreover,‘Changhan 58' showed lower stomatal density(SD) and higher stomatal area per unit organ area(A) under both water conditions. Water stress decreased SD, A, and stomatal width(SW), and increased stomatal length in flag leaves(upper and lower surfaces) and ear organs(awn, glume, lemma, and palea), with the changes more pronounced in ear organs than in flag leaves.Instantaneous WUE increased slightly, while integral WUE improved significantly in both cultivars. Integral WUE was higher in ‘Changhan 58', and increased by a greater amount, than in‘Xinong 9871'. These results suggest that drought resistance in ‘Changhan 58' is regulated by stomatal characteristics through a decrease in transpiration rate in order to improve integral WUE and photosynthetic performance, and through sustaining a higher ear photosynthetic rate, therefore enhancing overall drought-resistance.展开更多

The microstructure of this grid plate with a life more than 18 months was studied by XRD, SEM and EDS techniques. The results show that high hardness, high intensity and good impact property make the new kind of heat-resistant grid plate and its oxide film have a higher resistance to deformation and abrasion at 900-1000℃ Besides, small grain size is beneficial to form a complete protective oxide film. The oxide film composed of SiO2 layer, Cr2O3 layer and Fe2O3 layer is rather thin and bonds closely with the backing. The forming of the chemical stable nickel-rich layer increases the density of Cr2O3 layer.展开更多

The results show that when quenched at 900-920℃ and tempered at 350-370℃, the MLAWS has achieved hardness above 60 HRC, tensile strength greater than 1 600 MPa, impact toughness higher than 18J/cm2 and fracture toughness greater than 37 MPa·m1/2. When the quenching temperature is lower than 900℃, the hardness of the MLAWS increases with the temperature. When the quenching temperature is higher than 900℃, the hardness decreases with the increase of temperature. At a quenching temperature below 920℃, the effect of quenching temperature on the impact toughness is not obvious. In quenching at above 920℃, impact toughness decreases as the temperature increases. When the tempering temperature is exceeding 450℃, the hardness begins to decrease significantly. Tempering at 350℃ has produced the best wear resistance on the MLAWS.展开更多

As a functional low calorie additive, it has special applications in the food industry. Rapid visco analysis (RVA) and the Brabender farinograph were used to study the pasting properties and the viscoelasticity of blends of RS (RS3 and RS2) and three wheat flours. The wheat flours represented strong gluten wheat (SGW), intermediate gluten wheat (IGW), and weak gluten wheat (WGW) flours, at different levels of RS substitution (0, 5, 10, 15, and 20%). The influence of RS3 on the control wheat flours and RS-wheat flour blends were consistent with those of RS2. The peak, trough, and final viscosities of RS3-wheat flour blends were higher than those of the corresponding RS2-wheat flour blends. The peak, trough, breakdown, final, and setback viscosities ofwheat-RS blends decreased with an increase in resistant starch contents from 0 to 20% in the blends. The 0-20% RS-wheat flour blends were all able to form doughs. The dough development times, dough stabilities, dough breakdown times, and farinograph quality numbers for the RS-wheat flour blends decreased as the RS proportion in the blends increased. The values for RS-SGW flour blends were the highest, followed by RS-IGW and then RS-WGW flour blends. The water absorption values for RS-wheat flour blends and the mixing tolerance index for RS-WGW flour blends were found to increase significantly with an increasing proportion of RS from 0 to 20%, but the mixing tolerance index for RS-SGW and RS-IGW flour blends showed no significant differences amongst the different ratios. Correlation analysis showed that the Farinograph quality number was highly positively correlated with dough breakdown time, dough stability, and dough development time (r= 1.000, 0.958, 0.894), and highly negatively correlated with the mixing tolerance index (r =-0.890). Data from this study can be used for the development of dough-based products. It also provides a basis for RS-wheat flour blends and quality evaluation in the food industry.展开更多

The introduction of herbicide resistant crops resulted in a major shift in the way that herbicides are used in many crops, but not necessarily increased the prevalence of herbicide use, especially in wheat. Wheat is one of the most widely grown crops in the world and currently only two major herbicide-resistant wheat groups have been commercialized to manage weeds in a cost-effective manner. However, sustainable wheat production is threatened by the expanding occurrence of herbicide-resistant weed populations with limited efforts to discover new herbicide molecules. Selective control of certain problematic weeds in wheat was impossible until development and introduction of the technologies, Clearfield and Co AXium Production Systems. However, the current limitations of reliance on specific herbicides and evolution of resistant weeds mandate precautions and considerations when using these systems to prevent the loss of existing herbicide resources and continue sustainable wheat production. The focus of this review is to provide an overview of natural pre-existing herbicide resistance and development of herbicide-resistant technologies in wheat. The mechanisms of resistance to herbicides in wheat as well as the weed populations in wheat cropping systems, and implications for weed management are discussed.展开更多

Breeding and use of varieties resistant to SB is crucial in controlling the disease, but the advances achieved have been limited due to the tack of highly SB-resistant rice germplasm. Genetic analysis revealed that the SB resistance in rice was a typical quantitative trait controlled by multi-genes. Although many QTLs conferring resistance to SB have been identified in recent years, most of the QTLs only showed small effects and few of them have been evaluated for utilization potential. Many R. solani-resistant resources have been found in wild rice species, microorganisms and other plant species. It is already known that the SB-resistance could be improved in transgenic rice plants by genetic transformation. This paper reviewed the genetic mapping of loci associated with resistance to rice SB, the evaluation of the potential of resistance QTLs, and the resistant resources found in various organisms besides rice. To develop SB-resistant rice varieties, it is important to develop and explore new resistant rice germplasms, fine map and evaluate resistance QTLs, and also to pay attention to various bio-resources showing resistance to R. solani.展开更多

We characterized new disease resistant wheat-Th. intermedium derivatives A1082 and A5-5 using sequential multi-color fluorescence in situ hybridization(mc-FISH), genomic in situ hybridization(GISH), PCRbased landmark unique gene(PLUG) and intron targeting(IT) markers. A1082 was identified as a wheat-Th. intermedium 3J disomic addition line, and A5-5 was a T4BS·5J^sL homozygous Robertsonian translocation line. Seventy-one and 106 pairs of primers amplified Th.intermedium-specific bands allowing chromosomes 3J and 5J^s to be tracked, respectively. A new oligonucleotide probe, Oligo-6 H-2-100, was developed for FISH labeling of the subterminal region of the long arm of chromosome 5J^s. Both lines were highly resistant to stripe rust pathogen races prevalent in Chinese field screening nurseries. A5-5 also displayed a significant increase in tiller number compared to its wheat parent. The new lines can be exploited as useful germplasms for wheat improvement.展开更多

Based on the comprehensive analysis of both the micro- structural evolution and hardness variation, the process of tempering can be separated into three steps.

文摘2.25Cr-1.6W-V-Nb developed in Japan, is a low alloy heat resistant steel with good comprehensive properties. The strength decrease of 2.25Cr-1.6W-V-Nb steel after long term creep is related to the decrease of dislocation hardening, precipitation hardening, solution hardening, the nucleation of cavities and development of cracks.

文摘In this work, the growth kinetics of MX (M - metal, X - C/N) nanoprecipitates in type 347H austenitic steel was systematically studied. When the aging temperature was 800-900℃, the mean activation energy was 294 kJ·mol -1, and the coarsening behavior was controlled primarily by the diffusion of Nb atoms.
文摘A heat resistant aluminum alloy pipe blank with dimensions of d 700/300 mm×1 200 mm was prepared by the multi layer spray deposition technology. The analyses indicate that the proper match of the motion rates of atomizer and substrate can produce deposited blanks with uniform thickness and relatively high cooling rate.

文摘Fe-Cr-Ni heat resistant alloys with aluminum and silicon addition, alone and in combination, were melted using an intermediate frequency induction furnace with a non-oxidation method. The protection of the composite scale is analyzed essentially by electrical conductivity and strength properties.

文摘BACKGROUND Helicobacter pylori(HP),the most common pathogenic microorganism in stomach, can induce inflammatory reactions in the gastric mucosa, causing chronic gastritis and even gastric cancer.HP infection affects over 4.4 billion people globally, with a worldwide infection rate of up to 50%.The multidrug resistance of HP poses a serious challenge to eradication. It has been monstrated that compared to bismuth quadruple therapy,Qingre Huashi decoction(QHD)combined with triple therapy exhibits comparable eradication rates but with a lower incidence of adverse reactions;in addition,QHD directly inhibit and kill HP in vitro.METHODS In this study,12 HP strains were isolated in vitro after biopsy during gastroscopy of HP-infected patients. In vitro, the minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC)values for clinical HP strains and biofilm quantification were determined through the E-test method and crystal violet staining, respectively. The most robust biofilm-forming strain of HP was selected, and QHD was evaluated for its inhibitory and bactericidal effects on the strain with strong biofilm formation. This assessment was performed using agar dilution,E-test,killing dynamics, and transmission electron microscopy(TEM).The study also explored the impact of QHD on antibiotic resistance in these HP strains with strong biofilm formation.Crystalline violet method, scanning electron microscopy, laser confocal scanning microscopy, and(p)ppGpp chromatographic identification were employed to evaluate the effect of QHD on biofilm in strong biofilm-forming HP strains. The effect of QHD on biofilm and efflux pump-related gene expression was evaluated by quantitative polymerase chain reaction.Non-targeted metabolomics with UHPLC-MS/MS was used to identify potential metabolic pathways and biomarkers which were different between the NC and QHD groups.RESULTS HP could form biofilms of different degrees in vitro, and the intensity of formation was associated with the drug resistance of the strain.QHD had strong bacteriostatic and bactericidal effects on HP,with MICs of 32-64 mg/mL.QHD could inhibit the biofilm formation of the strong biofilm-forming HP strains, disrupt the biofilm structure, lower the accumulation of(p)ppGpp,decrease the expression of biofilm-related genes including LuxS,Spot,glup(HP1174),NapA,and CagE,and reduce the expression of efflux pump-related genes such as HP0605,HP0971,HP1327,and HP1489.Based on metabolomic analysis,QHD induced oxidative stress in HP,enhanced metabolism, and potentially inhibited relevant signaling pathways by upregulating adenosine monophosphate(AMP),thereby affecting HP growth, metabolism, and protein synthesis.CONCLUSION QHD exerts bacteriostatic and bactericidal effects on HP,and reduces HP drug resistance by inhibiting HP biofilm formation, destroying its biofilm structure, inhibiting the expression of biofilm-related genes and efflux pump-related genes, enhancing HP metabolism, and activating AMP in HP.

文摘In wheat, the ear is one of the main photosynthetic contributors to grain filling under drought stress conditions. These results suggest that drought resistance in ‘Changhan 58' is regulated by stomatal characteristics through a decrease in transpiration rate in order to improve integral WUE and photosynthetic performance, and through sustaining a higher ear photosynthetic rate, therefore enhancing overall drought-resistance.
文摘To further improve the oxidation-resistance of materials and reduce the cost of grid plates in grate-kiln, a new kind of heat-resistant grid plate was developed. The forming of the chemical stable nickel-rich layer increases the density of Cr2O3 layer.

文摘The utilization of prefabricated light modular radiant heating system has demonstrated significant increases in heat transfer efficiency and energy conservation capabilities.Within prefabricated building construction, this new heating method presents an opportunity for the development of comprehensive facilities. The parameters for evaluating the effectiveness of such a system are the upper surface layer’s heat flux and temperature. In this paper, thermal resistance analysis calculation based on a simplified model for this unique radiant heating system analysis is presented with the heat transfer mechanism’s evaluation. The results obtained from thermal resistance analysis calculation and numerical simulation indicate that the thermal resistance analysis method is highly accurate with temperature discrepancies ranging from 0.44℃ to−0.44℃ and a heat flux discrepancy of less than 7.54%,which can meet the requirements of practical engineering applications, suggesting a foundation for the prefabricated radiant heating system.
文摘The paper has studied the mechanical properties and heat treatment effects on multi-element low alloy wear-resistant steel (MLAWS) used as a material for the liner of rolling mill torii. Tempering at 350℃ has produced the best wear resistance on the MLAWS.

文摘Resistant starch (RS) is the undigested starch that passes through the small intestine to the large intestine. It also provides a basis for RS-wheat flour blends and quality evaluation in the food industry.

文摘Herbicide resistance in crops has extended the scope of herbicide applications to control weeds. The mechanisms of resistance to herbicides in wheat as well as the weed populations in wheat cropping systems, and implications for weed management are discussed.

文摘Sheath blight (SB) caused by Rhizoctonia solani is one of the three major diseases of rice, and now has become the most severe disease causing rice yield loss in China. To develop SB-resistant rice varieties, it is important to develop and explore new resistant rice germplasms, fine map and evaluate resistance QTLs, and also to pay attention to various bio-resources showing resistance to R. solani.

文摘Thinopyrum intermedium(2 n = 6 x = 42, JJJ^sJ^sStSt) has been hybridized extensively with common wheat and has proven to be a valuable germplasm source for improving disease resistance, quality attributes, and yield potential in wheat. The new lines can be exploited as useful germplasms for wheat improvement.
