Discontinuities of Banana Integrals in Dispersion Relation Representation

We derive the discontinuities of banana integrals using the dispersion relation iteratively,and find a series of identities between the parameterized discontinuities of banana integrals(p-DOBIs).Similar to elliptic integrals,these identities enable the reduction of various p-DOBIs to be a linear combination of some fundamental ones.We present a practical application of p-DOBIs for deriving the Picard–Fuchs operator.Then we establish the expression of generalized dispersion relation,which enables us to obtain the dispersion relation representation of arbitrary banana integrals.Moreover,we propose a hypothesis for generalized dispersion relation and p-DOBIs,which provides a simple way to calculate the discontinuities and transform dispersion relation representation to p-DOBIs.

Legendre-Jacobi’s Elliptic Integrals Shed Light on the Luminosity Distance in Cosmology

This article concerns the integral related to the transverse comoving distance and, in turn, to the luminosity distance both in the standard non-flat and flat cosmology. The purpose is to determine a straightforward mathematical formulation for the luminosity distance as function of the transverse comoving distance for all cosmology cases with a non-zero cosmological constant by adopting a different mindset. The applied method deals with incomplete elliptical integrals of the first kind associated with the polynomial roots admitted in the comoving distance integral according to the scientific literature. The outcome shows that the luminosity distance can be obtained by the combination of an analytical solution followed by a numerical integration in order to account for the redshift. This solution is solely compared to the current Gaussian quadrature method used as basic recognized algorithm in standard cosmology.

CAUCHY TYPE INTEGRALS AND A BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEM IN A COMPLEX CLIFFORD ANALYSIS

Clifford analysis is an important branch of modern analysis;it has a very important theoretical significance and application value,and its conclusions can be applied to the Maxwell equation,Yang-Mill field theory,quantum mechanics and value problems.In this paper,we first give the definition of a quasi-Cauchy type integral in complex Clifford analysis,and get the Plemelj formula for it.Second,we discuss the H?lder continuity for the Cauchy-type integral operators with values in a complex Clifford algebra.Finally,we prove the existence of solutions for a class of linear boundary value problems and give the integral representation for the solution.

Fuzzy Henstock-Kurzweil Triple Integral on a Type 1 Quasi-Fuzzy Parallelepipedal Domain

In this article, we propose by using the Hausdorff distance Simpson’s rule for the triple integral of a fuzzy-valued function and the error bound of this method, one of the variables of which is fuzzy. In addition, thin δ-fine partitions are introduced. The integration domain is a quasi-fuzzy parallelipiped. A numerical example is presented in order to show the application and the significance of the method.

Astrocytes integrate time and space

Astrocytes read and react to synaptic transmission through tripartite synapses,where the binding of neurotransmitters onto astrocytic receptors triggers an increase in intracellular calcium.Recent investigations have revealed that astrocytes exhibit two distinct states of intracellular calcium activity:(1)graded subcellular localized clusters with independently active microdomains,likely influenced by nearby synaptic events,and(2)whole-cell astrocyte calcium surges,believed to result from the coordinated activation of multiple synapses.Notably,astrocyte calcium responses are not solely graded;instead,a spatial threshold of intracellular calcium activity can be overcome to elicit an astrocyte calcium surge.Together these calcium responses,in turn,initiate downstream signaling pathways capable of modifying synaptic communication and overall network activity.In summary,astrocytes can function as integrators of local synaptic events,actively contributing to information processing within the brain.

Multisensory mechanisms of gait and balance in Parkinson’s disease:an integrative review

Understanding the neural underpinning of human gait and balance is one of the most pertinent challenges for 21st-century translational neuroscience due to the profound impact that falls and mobility disturbances have on our aging population.Posture and gait control does not happen automatically,as previously believed,but rather requires continuous involvement of central nervous mechanisms.To effectively exert control over the body,the brain must integrate multiple streams of sensory information,including visual,vestibular,and somatosensory signals.The mechanisms which underpin the integration of these multisensory signals are the principal topic of the present work.Existing multisensory integration theories focus on how failure of cognitive processes thought to be involved in multisensory integration leads to falls in older adults.Insufficient emphasis,however,has been placed on specific contributions of individual sensory modalities to multisensory integration processes and cross-modal interactions that occur between the sensory modalities in relation to gait and balance.In the present work,we review the contributions of somatosensory,visual,and vestibular modalities,along with their multisensory intersections to gait and balance in older adults and patients with Parkinson’s disease.We also review evidence of vestibular contributions to multisensory temporal binding windows,previously shown to be highly pertinent to fall risk in older adults.Lastly,we relate multisensory vestibular mechanisms to potential neural substrates,both at the level of neurobiology(concerning positron emission tomography imaging)and at the level of electrophysiology(concerning electroencephalography).We hope that this integrative review,drawing influence across multiple subdisciplines of neuroscience,paves the way for novel research directions and therapeutic neuromodulatory approaches,to improve the lives of older adults and patients with neurodegenerative diseases.

Cohort study on the treatment of BRAF V600E mutant metastatic colorectal cancer with integrated Chinese and western medicine

BACKGROUND Patients with BRAF V600E mutant metastatic colorectal cancer(mCRC)have a low incidence rate,poor biological activity,suboptimal response to conventional treatments,and a poor prognosis.In the previous cohort study on mCRC conducted by our team,it was observed that integrated Chinese and Western medicine treatment could significantly prolong the overall survival(OS)of patients with colorectal cancer.Therefore,we further explored the survival benefits in the population with BRAF V600E mutant mCRC.AIM To evaluate the efficacy of integrated Chinese and Western medicine in the treatment of BRAF V600E mutant metastatic colorectal cancer.METHODS A cohort study was conducted on patients with BRAF V600E mutant metastatic colorectal cancer admitted to Xiyuan Hospital of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences and Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region from January 2016 to December 2022.The patients were divided into two cohorts.RESULTS A total of 34 cases were included,with 23 in Chinese-Western medicine cohort(cohort A)and 11 in Western medicine cohort(cohort B).The median overall survival was 19.9 months in cohort A and 14.2 months in cohort B,with a statistically significant difference(P=0.038,hazard ratio=0.46).The 1-3-year survival rates were 95.65%(22/23),39.13%(9/23),and 26.09%(6/23)in cohort A,and 63.64%(7/11),18.18%(2/11),and 9.09%(1/11)in cohort B,respectively.Subgroup analysis showed statistically significant differences in median OS between the two cohorts in the right colon,liver metastasis,chemotherapy,and first-line treatment subgroups(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Integrated Chinese and Western medicine can prolong the survival and reduce the risk of death in patients with BRAF V600E mutant metastatic colorectal cancer,with more pronounced benefits observed in patients with right colon involvement,liver metastasis,combined chemotherapy,and first-line treatment.

Several Fundamental Theorems and Conservative Integrals in Quasicrystal Elasticity Theory

Aim To extend several fundamental theorems of conventional elasticity theory to quasicrystalelasticity theory. Methods The basic governing equations of quasicrystal elasticity theory and Gauss's theorem were applied in the derivation. Results and Conclusion The principle of virtual work, Betti's reciprocal theorem and the uniqueness theorem of quasicrystal elasticity theory are proud, and some conservative integrals in quasicrystal elasticty theory are obtained.

First Integrals and Reduction of the Birkhoffian System

Refer to the Hamiltonian system, first integrals of the Birkhoffian system can be found by using of the perfect differential method. Through these first integrals, the order of the Birkhoffian system can be reduced. Then according to the alternate of the coordinate, a kind of new partial differential operator was defined in order to hold the Birkhoff form. The result shows that the Birkhoffian system has generalized energy integrals and cyclic integrals. Furthermore, each integral can reduce the order of equations two degrees.

Second Order Periodic Boundary Value Problems Involving the Distributional Henstock-Kurzweil Integral

We apply the distributional derivative to study the existence of solutions of the second order periodic boundary value problems involving the distributional Henstock-Kurzweil integral. The distributional Henstock-Kurzweil integral is a general intergral, which contains the Lebesgue and Henstock-Kurzweil integrals. And the distributional derivative includes ordinary derivatives and approximate derivatives. By using the method of upper and lower solutions and a fixed point theorem, we achieve some results which are the generalizations of some previous results in the literatures.

Multilinear singular integrals and commutators in variable exponent Lebesgue spaces

Boundedness of multilinear singular integrals and their commutators from products of variable exponent Lebesgue spaces to variable exponent Lebesgue spaces are obtained. The vector-valued case is also considered.

A NOTE ON MARCINKIEWICZ INTEGRALS WITH H^1 KERNELS

This paper shows that for Ω∈ H1(Sn-1), Marcinkiewicz integral operator μΩ is Lp(Rn) bounded for 1 < p <∞, which improves some known results.

Discrete variational principle and first integrals for Lagrange-Maxwell mechanico-electrical systems

This paper presents a discrete vaxiational principle and a method to build first-integrals for finite dimensional Lagrange-Maxwell mechanico-electrical systems with nonconservative forces and a dissipation function. The discrete variational principle and the corresponding Euler-Lagrange equations are derived from a discrete action associated to these systems. The first-integrals are obtained by introducing the infinitesimal transformation with respect to the generalized coordinates and electric quantities of the systems. This work also extends discrete Noether symmetries to mechanico-electrical dynamical systems. A practical example is presented to illustrate the results.

Triebel-Lizorkin space boundedness of Marcinkiewicz integrals associated to surfaces

In the present paper, we consider the boundedness of Marcinkiewicz integral operator μΩ,h,Ф along a surface Г = {x = Ф（｜y｜）y/｜y｜）} on the Triebel-Lizorkin space Fq,q^α（R^n ） for Ω belonging to H1 （Sn-1） and some class WFα（S^n-1）, which relates to Grafakos-Stefanov class. Some previous results are extended and improved.

ROUGH MARCINKIEWICZ INTEGRALS ASSOCIATED TO SURFACES OF REVOLUTION ON PRODUCT DOMAINS

In this article, certain Marcinkiewicz integral operators associated to surfaces of revolution on product domains were studied. The Lp boundedness for these operators are established under some rather weak conditions on kernels. The main results essentially improve and extend some known results.
