It finds that both N2 and H2 molecules can accumulate at the interface and form one of two states according to the ratio of gas molecules number to square of graphite surface from our simulation results: gas films (pancake-like) for a larger ratio and nanobubbles for a smaller ratio. Moreover, we provide the control strategies of the high-speed passenger train operations based on the proposed formula of the real-time minimum safety headway and the dynamic model of highspeed passenger train movements. In this method, a structure with uniform geometry and material properties is considered as a spectral element, which means that the element number and the degree of freedom can be reduced significantly. Based on the variational method and the Laplace transform theory, the spectral stiffness matrix and the equivalent nodal force of the beam-column element are established. The static Green function is employed to deduce the improved function. The proposed method is applied to two typical engineering practices—the one-span bridge and the horizontal jib of the tower crane. The results have revealed the following. First, the new method can yield extremely high-precision results of the dynamic deflection, the bending moment and the shear force in the moving load problem. In most cases, the relative errors are smaller than 1%. Second, by comparing with the finite element method, one can obtain the highly accurate results using the improved SEM with smaller element numbers. Moreover, the method can be widely used for statically determinate as well as statically indeterminate structures. Third, the dynamic deflection of the twin-lift jib decreases with the increase in the moving load speed, whereas the curvature of the deflection increases. Finally, the dynamic deflection, the bending moment and the shear force of the jib will all increase as the magnitude of the moving load increases.展开更多

In these simulations, water only and oil-water mixture, with distinctly different viscosities, were used as continuous phases. Simulation results agreed well with the experimental measurements. Simulation results showed that the conventional hydrocyclone could effectively separate sand from water, but could not separate sand from high viscosity water/oil emulsion. This showed that the viscosity of continuous phases influenced greatly both the separation efficiency and the flow field distribution in the conventional hydrocyclone. For high viscosity oil/water sand dispersion (mixture), the rotary hydrocyclone has better separation performance than the conventional one, with a more favorable flow field distribution.展开更多

A train-track- ground integrated dynamic model is introduced in the paper to predict the ground vibration induced by high-speed trains. Representative dynamic responses of the train-track-ground system predicted by the model are presented. Some major results measured from two field tests on the ground vibration induced by two high-speed trains are reported. Numerical prediction with the proposed train-track-ground model is validated by the high-speed train running experiments. Research results show that the wheel/rail dynamic interaction caused by track irregularities has a significant influence on the ground acceleration and little influence on the ground displacement. The main frequencies of the ground vibration induced by high-speed trains are usually below 80 Hz. Compared with the ballasted track, the ballastless track structure can produce much larger train-induced ground vibration at frequencies above 40 Hz. The vertical ground vibration is much larger than the lateral and longitudinal components.展开更多

Therefore, it is difficult for the valve to match the control precision of basis weight. Dynamic simulation research using Matlab/Simulink indicates that there is much more overshoot and fluctuating during the valve-positioning process. In order to improve the valve-positioning precision, the control method of trapezoidal velocity curve was studied. The simulation result showed that the positioning steady-state error was less than 0.0056%, whereas the peak error was less than 0.016% by using trapezoidal velocity curve at 10 positioning steps. A valve-positioning precision experimental device for the stepper motor of basis weight control valve was developed. The experiment results showed that the error ratio of 1/10000 positioning steps was 4% by using trapezoidal velocity curve. Furthermore, the error ratio of 10/10000 positioning steps was 0.5%. It proved that the valve-positioning precision of trapezoidal velocity curve was much higher than that of the constant frequency pulse signal control strategy. The new control method of trapezoidal velocity curve can satisfy the precision requirement of 10000 steps.展开更多

The fact that our global population grows dramatically every year and the current public transport systems are able to transport large amounts of people heightens the risk of crowd panic or crush. Pedestrian models are based on macroscopic or microscopic behaviour. In this paper, we are interested in developing models that can be used for evacuation control strategies. This model will be based on microscopic pedestrian simulation models, and its evolution and design requires a lot of information and data. The people stream will be simulated, based on mathematical models derived from empirical data about pedestrian flows. This model is developed from image data bases, so called empirical data, taken from a video camera or data obtained using human detectors. We consider the individuals as autonomous particles interacting through social and physical forces, which is an approach that has been used to simulate crowd behaviour. The target of this work is to describe a comprehensive approach to model a huge number of pedestrians and to simulate high density crowd behaviour in overcrowding places, e.g. sport, concert and pilgrimage places, and to assist engineering in the resolution of complicated problems through integrating a number of models from different research domains.展开更多

The numerical method is used to solve the differential equations goveming the dynamics of the milling system. Several chatter detection criteria are applied synthetically to the simulated signals and the stability diagram is obtained in time-domain. The simulation results in time-domain show a good agreement with the analytical prediction, which is validated by the cutting experiments. By simulating the chatter stability lobes in the time-domain and analyzing the influences of different spindle speeds on the vibration amplitudes of the tool under a Fixed chip-load condition, conclusions could be drawn as follows: In rough milling, higher machining efficiency can be achieved by selecting a spindle speed corresponding to the axial depth of cut in accordance with the simulated chatter stability lobes, and in Fmish milling, lower surface roughness can be achieved by selecting a spindle speed well beyond the resonant frequency of machining system.展开更多

文摘In this paper, we propose a new formula of the real-time minimum safety headway based on the relative velocity of consecutive trains and present a dynamic model of high-speed passenger train movements in the rail line based on the proposed formula of the minimum safety headway. Moreover, we provide the control strategies of the high-speed passenger train operations based on the proposed formula of the real-time minimum safety headway and the dynamic model of highspeed passenger train movements. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed control strategies of the passenger train operations can greatly reduce the delay propagation in the high-speed rail line when a random delay occurs.

文摘A generalized simulation method of the tracking, telemetry and control(TT&C) channel, which is applicable to wideband and arbitrary radio frequency(RF) signal,is proposed. It can accurately simulate the dynamic transmission delay of the arbitrary RF signal in channels, especially regardless of any prior knowledge including signal form, signal parameters, and so on.The proposed method orthogonally demodulates the wideband and arbitrary RF signal to complex baseband by a known local oscillator(LO) signal.Whereafter,it takes measures to obtain the delay reconstruction signal of baseband signals based on the dynamic transmission delay between a ground station and a responder.Meanwhile,it manages to obtain the delay reconstruction signal of LO signals. The simulation output signal(the delayed RF signal) can be achieved through the synthesis of the two delay reconstruction signals mentioned above. The principle and its related key technology are described in detail, and the realizable system architecture is given.
文摘Molecular dynamics simulation was used to study the melting of MgO at high pressures. The melting temperature of MgO was accurately obtained at elevated temperature and high pressure after corrections based on the modern theory of melting. The calculated melting curve was compared with the available experimental data and other theoretical results at the pressure range of 0-135 GPa. The corrected melting temperature of MgO is in good agreement with the results from Lindemann melting equation and the two- phase simulated results below 15 GPa.

文摘In this paper, the spectral element method(SEM)is improved to solve the moving load problem. Finally, the dynamic deflection, the bending moment and the shear force of the jib will all increase as the magnitude of the moving load increases.
文摘The flow fields inside conventional and rotary hydrocyclones were simulated respectively. For high viscosity oil/water sand dispersion (mixture), the rotary hydrocyclone has better separation performance than the conventional one, with a more favorable flow field distribution.

文摘The development of analysis on train-induced ground vibration is briefly summarized. The vertical ground vibration is much larger than the lateral and longitudinal components.

文摘Traditionally, basis weight control valve is driven by a constant frequency pulse signal. The new control method of trapezoidal velocity curve can satisfy the precision requirement of 10000 steps.
文摘In recent years, modelling crowd and evacuation dynamics has become very important, with increasing huge numbers of people gathering around the world for many reasons and events. The target of this work is to describe a comprehensive approach to model a huge number of pedestrians and to simulate high density crowd behaviour in overcrowding places, e.g. sport, concert and pilgrimage places, and to assist engineering in the resolution of complicated problems through integrating a number of models from different research domains.

文摘In this paper, the instantaneous undeformed chip thickness is modeled to include the dynamic modulation caused by the tool vibration while the dynamic regenerative effects are taken into account. By simulating the chatter stability lobes in the time-domain and analyzing the influences of different spindle speeds on the vibration amplitudes of the tool under a Fixed chip-load condition, conclusions could be drawn as follows: In rough milling, higher machining efficiency can be achieved by selecting a spindle speed corresponding to the axial depth of cut in accordance with the simulated chatter stability lobes, and in Fmish milling, lower surface roughness can be achieved by selecting a spindle speed well beyond the resonant frequency of machining system.

文摘To explore the influence of the lateral sloshing and the time-varying mass of the liquid in the tank on the ride comfort of the high-clearance sprayer,a spring-mass-damping equivalent mechanics that can describe the lateral sloshing of the liquid under different filling ratios was constructed based on the equivalent criterion. The Fluent was used to simulate the moment acting on the wall of the tank by the lateral sloshing of the liquid, and then the parameters of the equivalent mechanical model are obtained by fitting and solving.Comparative analysis of Fluent simulation and bench test on lateral sloshing of tank liquid under different filling ratios. The results show that the lateral sloshing trend of the tank liquid level obtained from the Fluent simulation and the bench test was consistent, which proved the accuracy of the Fluent fluid simulation process and the correctness of the required equivalent mechanical model parameters.Incorporating a liquid sloshing equivalent model,a four-degree-of-freedom vertical dynamic model of the sprayer half-car was established.Subsequently, the performance of the sprayer was systematically analyzed and compared under the excitation of a bump road and a random E-level road. This investigation took into account varying liquid filling ratios of 10%,50%,and 90%.The focus lay on evaluating the vertical acceleration of the sprayer body, dynamic deflection of the suspension, and dynamic load on the tires in response to these road conditions. This analysis is conducted independently of the liquid sloshing factor. The results show that the lateral sloshing of the liquid medicine significantly reduces the ride smoothness of the machine, and makes the vibration response of the machine produce a certain hysteresis effect. With the reduction of the quality of the liquid medicine in the spray tank, the vibration amplitude of the sprayer body gradually decreases, the hysteresis effect is also gradually weakened. The results presented in this study offer a theoretical foundation for the analysis of ride comfort and the optimization of chassis structure in high-clearance sprayers.
