However, the magnetic field diffused into the driver has some influence on the plasma outflowing. In order to investigate the effect of changing this magnetic field on the outflowing of plasma from the driver, a circular ring(absorber) of high permeability iron has been introduced at the driver exit, which can reduce the magnetic field around it and improve plasma outflowing. This clamping results from the lack of direct ion heating and high levels of turbulence-driven transport. Turbulent transport analysis shows that trapped electron mode and electron temperature gradient-driven modes are the most unstable modes in the core of ECR-heated H-mode plasmas. Nevertheless, recently it was found that the T_(i)/T_(e)ratio can increase further with the fraction of the neutral beam injection(NBI) power, which leads to a higher core ion temperature(Ti0). In NBI heating-dominant H-mode plasmas, the ion temperature gradient-driven modes become the most unstable modes.Furthermore, a strong and broad internal transport barrier(ITB) can form at the plasma core in high-power NBI-heated H-mode plasmas when the T_(i)/T_(e)ratio approaches ~1, which results in steep core Teand Tiprofiles, as well as a peaked neprofile. Power balance analysis shows a weaker Teprofile stiffness after the formation of ITBs in the core plasma region, where Ticlamping is broken, and the core Tican increase further above 2 keV, which is 80% higher than the value of Ticlamping in ECR-heated plasmas. This finding proposes a possible solution to the problem of Ticlamping on EAST and demonstrates an advanced operational regime with the formation of a strong and broad ITB for future fusion plasmas dominated by electron heating.展开更多

Two kinds of substrate materials were examined to show this effect. The first sample was a pure Al metal pre-coated with fine carbon powders prior to the bombardment, and the second alloy is the D2-Crl2MolVl mould steel pre-coated with Cr, Ti, and TiN powders. The surface elements diffuse about several micrometers into the substrate materials only after several bombardments. Tribological behaviors of these samples were characterized and significant improvement in wear resistance was found. Finally, a TEM analysis reveals the presence of stress waves generated by coupled thermal and stress fields, which was considered as the main cause of the enhanced properties.展开更多

[Method] The dry seeds were irradiated by '2(36. heavy ion beams with absorbed doses: 0, 40, 80, 120, 160 and 200 Gy, respectively. Then, the seed germination potential, survival rate, antioxidant enzyme activities and lipid peroxidation of sweet sorghum were measured. [Result] Heavy-ion beams irradiation exhibited different influence on germination potential and survival rates. Germination rate showed a downward trend, but the corresponding survival curve of seedlings was saddle-shaped. The activities of SOD, POD, CAT and ASA- POD changed in different trends as well. The MDA content rose toward increasing irradiation dose, suggesting that high dose of heavy-ion beams irradiation enhanced the damage to membrane of sweet sorghum seedlings. [Conclusion] After being irra- diated, germination potential and survival rates of sweet sorghum were decreased, and antioxidant enzymes activity changed greatly. This study laid the basis for fur- ther work on breeding and improvement of sweet sorghum irradiated by ,^(12)C^(6+) heavy ion beams.展开更多

[Method] The particular variation phenotypes, a- gronomic traits, and protein and wet gluten contents of progenies derived from the same ion beam induced mutant were investigated. [Result] Morphological polymor- phism existed in some individuals. Plant height, spike length and protein content were significantly influenced by ion beam, and effective tiller number and wet gluten content were moderately influenced. Multiple comparisons of all the indices within groups indicated genomic instability among these groups. Coefficient of variation im- plied the differences within group were very low. [Conclusion] Ion beam irradiation displayed characteristics of multi-directivity and non-directiveness. It aroused multiple variations in the same mutant. Instability among progeny indicates cells had different fate even in the same irradiated tissue. It may take several generations for mutants to stabilize particular phenotypes. The effects of ion beam irradiation may be the in- terrelated direct irradiation damage, indirect irradiation damage and late effect, such as bystander effect and adaptive response.展开更多

文摘Ion beam-induced luminescence(IBIL) experiments were performed to investigate the in situ luminescence of GaN/Al_(2)O_(3) at varying ion energies, which allowed for the measurement of defects at different depths within the material. The energies of H^(+)were set to 500 keV,640 keV and 2 MeV,the Bragg peaks of which correspond to the GaN film,GaN/Al_(2)O_(3) heterojunction and Al_(2)O_(3) substrate, respectively.A photoluminescence measurement at 250 K was also performed for comparison, during which only near band edge(NBE) and yellow band luminescence in the GaN film were observed. The evolution of the luminescence of the NBE and yellow band in the GaN film was discussed, and both exhibited a decrease with the fluence of H^(+).Additionally, the luminescence of F centers, induced by oxygen vacancies, and Cr^(3+),resulting from the ^(2)E →^(4)A_(2) radiative transition in Al_(2)O_(3),were measured using 2 MeV H^(+).The luminescence intensity of F centers increases gradually with the fluence of H^(+).The luminescence evolution of Cr^(3+)is consistent with a yellow band center, attributed to its weak intensity, and it is situated within the emission band of the yellow band in the GaN film. Our results show that IBIL measurement can effectively detect the luminescence behavior of multilayer films by adjusting the ion energy.Luminescence measurement can be excited by various techniques, but IBIL can satisfy in situ luminescence measurement, and multilayer structural materials of tens of micrometers can be measured through IBIL by adjusting the energy of the inducing ions. The evolution of defects at different layers with ion fluence can be obtained.
文摘The present paper reports the rapid surface alloying induced by the bombardment of high-current pulsed electron beam. Finally, a TEM analysis reveals the presence of stress waves generated by coupled thermal and stress fields, which was considered as the main cause of the enhanced properties.
文摘In this editorial,I would like to comment on the article, recently published in the World Journal of Clinical Oncology. The article focuses on non-surgical treatments for locally recurrent rectal cancer, including the watch-and-wait(WW)strategy after total neoadjuvant therapy(TNT)and particle beam therapy. As treatment options for rectal cancer continue to evolve, the high complete response rate achieved with TNT has led to the development of a new non-surgical approach:WW.Chemoradiotherapy followed by consolidation chemotherapy,in particular, has a low rate of tumor growth and is a treatment aimed at achieving a cure without surgery. However, the risk of recurrence within two years is significant, necessitating careful follow-up.Establishing standardized follow-up methods that can be implemented by many physicians is essential.Carbon ion radiotherapy has demonstrated high local control with a low incidence of severe late toxicities, even after previous pelvic radiotherapy. While these new non-surgical curative treatments for rectal cancer require further investigation, future advancements in this field are anticipated.

文摘[Objective] This study was to investigate the effect of N+ ion beam implantation on the survival rate and mutation rate of biocontrol strain Bacillus subtilis. [Method] The factors influencing B. subtilis ion beam implantation, including culture time, dilution concentration, solvent, drying time of mycoderm were optimized. B. subtilis cells were implanted by using ion beam at dose of 2.0×10^14~4.0×10^14 ions/cm2 and the energy of 30 kev. Then the methods of culturing colonies confronting each other on plate and Oxford cup diffusion were used to screening strains. [Result] The optimal parameters were found as follows: culture in liquid for 20-24 h, dilution with sterile water to 106 cells/ml and drying time of 60 min for sample preparation; the optimal N+ ion beam implantation dose of 2.0×10^14~4.0×10^14 ions/cm2 at the energy of 30 kev, the survival rate of 8.43%-26.71% and the mutation rate of 3.50%-5.43%. [Conclusion] This study provided reference for ion beam implantation mutation of B. subtilis.

文摘[Objective] The aim of this study was to explore the expression differences of miRNA response to low energy N+ beam radiation in rice.[Method]Three groups of ion beam irradiation rice seeds and untreated rice seeds were selected respectively, and then the total RNA of seedlings after 96 h of germination was extracted at 30 ℃.Agilent gene chip was used to screen the differentially expressed genes of two groups of rice seedlings. The chip contained 510 miRNA probes;and about two times of expression differences between two samples were considered as the threshold range.[Result]14 miRNA molecules showed significant expression differences between the irradiated group and the control group, and all of them were decreased.[Conclusion]The miRNAs showed expression differences between irradiated group and the control group, which might regulate the expression of certain genes to respond to ion irradiation, thus producing physiological, biochemical and phenotypic differences.
文摘The effects of ion damage on Ga NAs/Ga As and Ga In NAs/Ga As quantum wells ( QWs) grown by plas- ma- assisted molecular beam epitaxy have been investigated. Itis found thation damage is a key factor affecting the quality of Ga NAs and Ga In NAs QWs. Obvious appearance of pendello¨ sung fringes in X- ray diffraction pattern and remarkable im provement in the optical properties of the samples grown with ion removal magnets are observed.By removing nitrogen ions, the PL intensity of the Ga In NAs QW is improved so as to be comparable with that of Ga In As QW. The stronger is the magnetic field, the m ore obvious the PL intensity im provement would be.

文摘[Objective] This study aimed to investigate the effects of heavy-ion beams irradiation on the seed germination potential, survival rate, antioxidant enzyme activi- ties and lipid peroxidation of sweet sorghum. This study laid the basis for fur- ther work on breeding and improvement of sweet sorghum irradiated by ,^(12)C^(6+) heavy ion beams.

文摘[Objective] The aim of this study was to elucidate the quantitative traits of plants mutagenized by ion beam. The effects of ion beam irradiation may be the in- terrelated direct irradiation damage, indirect irradiation damage and late effect, such as bystander effect and adaptive response.
