Spatial Differentiation and Convergence Trend of High-quality Development Level of China’s Tourism Economy

This paper aims to interpret the connotation of high-quality development of tourism economy(HQTE)from the perspective of the new development concepts of innovation,coordination,green,openness and sharing,and then to evaluate the spatial differenti-ation of China’s HQTE based on provincial panel data from 2009 to 2018.Specifically,we employ the spatial convergence model to ex-plore the absolute and conditionalβconvergence trends of HQTE in the whole country and the eastern,central and western regions of China.Our empirical results reveal that:1)within the decade,from 2009 to 2018,regions of China with the highest HQTE index is its eastern region followed by the central region and then the western region,but the fastest growing one is the western region of China fol-lowed by the central region and then the eastern region.2)Whether or not the spatial effect is included,there are absolute and condition-alβconvergence in HQTE in the whole country and aforementioned three regions.3)The degree of government attention as well as the level of economic development and location accessibility are the positive driving factors for the convergence of HQTE in the whole country and the three regions.The degree of marketization and human capital have not passed the significance test either in the whole country or in the three regions.The above conclusions could deepen the understanding of the regional imbalance and spatial conver-gence characteristics of HQTE,clarify the primary development objects,and accomplish the goal of China’s HQTE.

High-quality Development of the Pearl River Night Tour in the Context of Deep Integration of Culture and Tourism

Urban night tourism is a new form of urban tourism development and an important driving force for the prosperity of urban night economy.As the most prestigious business card among many night tour projects in Guangzhou,the Pearl River water night tour has contributed to the development of Guangzhou s night economy,which cannot be underestimated.However,in the process of rapid development,there are also problems such as diversified operators,insufficient integration of intangible cultural elements,excessive commercial attributes,issues of tourism facilities and service facilities.Under the new stage of integrated development of culture and tourism,how to use mutual promotion of culture and tourism in the Pearl River night tour to seek innovative paths for high-quality development in the future is the main problem expected to be solved in this paper.Therefore,based on the perspective of culture and tourism integration,this paper analyzes the general situation and development status of the Pearl River night tour,and proposes five development strategies:the overall planning of culture and tourism integration,the deep integration of intangible cultural elements,the balance of commercial attributes and tourism attributes,the high integration of culture,business,tourism and education,and the creation of tourism atmosphere,in order to provide inspiration for the healthy,orderly and high-quality development of the Pearl River night tour.

Ethnic Customs and Rural Tourism Development in Xinbin Manchu Autonomous County of Fushun City

The development of ethnic minority tourism is currently a hot topic in domestic tourism development.As an important component of Chinese civilization,the Manchu people have created brilliant culture in the long river of historical development.As the hometown of the Manchu people,Fushun has unique folk cultural tourism resources and a strong ethnic flavor.Nowadays,under the promotion of the rural revitalization strategy,the construction of new rural areas is constantly developing,and rural tourism is gradually becoming a new industry.Therefore,in the context of the increasingly prosperous rural tourism industry,it has become increasingly important to combine the ethnic customs of Manchu culture with rural tourism.Taking the ethnic customs and integrated development of rural tourism in Xinbin Manchu Autonomous County of Fushun City,Liaoning Province as the research object,this paper mainly sorts out the current situation and characteristics of rural tourism development in the region,systematically explores the problems in development and how to further optimize development,and proposes new models suitable for the development of folk tourism in Xinbin of Fushun,in order to achieve maximum economic and social benefits and provide a reference for promoting the development of tourism in the region.

High-quality Development Path of Night Tourism in Guangzhou:A Case Study of Firefly Night Tour

Night tourism often involves a large number of lighting facilities,which consume a large amount of energy.Therefore,one of the unique low energy consumption natural ecological tourism activities—firefly night tour has attracted attention and become an important breakthrough point for night tourism in tourist destinations.In this paper,Guangzhou firefly night tour project is taken as the research object.Based on the comprehensive economic,environmental,and socio-cultural benefits brought by the development of firefly night tour,the resources distribution,current development status,and existing problems of firefly night tour in Guangzhou are analyzed,and its high-quality development paths are proposed from three levels:government,industry,and tourist.The aim is to explore a new model for the economic development of Guangzhou night tour,boosting the transformation and upgrading of the night tourism economy,while also providing reference ideas and value for the development of night tourism economy in other tourist destinations.

High-quality Development Path of Henan Agriculture and Rural Areas Empowered by Digital Inclusive Finance

By studying high-quality development process of Henan agriculture and rural areas empowered by digital inclusive finance,it is found that the construction of digital financial infrastructure in Henan Province is relatively complete,and the level of deposit and loan of rural enterprises and farmers is constantly improving,and the market and government are constantly upgrading the financial risk insurance compensation mechanism.At the same time,there are also problems such as insufficient demand and supply of digital finance,single digital financial products,and weak market supervision.Based on this,some implementation paths are proposed,such as continuing to strengthen the construction of rural financial infrastructure in Henan Province,improving farmers’financial literacy,and enriching digital financial products and services.The government should continue to improve the construction of market system,and broaden the market supervision and management,to actively promote the digitalization of agricultural finance to enable the high-quality development of agriculture and rural areas in Henan Province.

Spatio-temporal Evolution and Driving Factors of the High-quality Development of Provincial Tourism in China

Accelerating the promotion of high-quality development of tourism(HQDT) is of great significance to the sustainable development of tourism. This paper defined the concept of HQDT, and then built an evaluation system for HQDT measurement to analyze the spatio-temporal evolution characteristics of China’s HQDT based on provincial panel data from 2010 to 2019, using Geodetector to explore the similarities and differences between driving factors of HQDT and tourism development scale(TDS). The results show that:1) Taking the development concepts of innovation, coordination, green, openness and sharing as the guidance, and considering the organic unity of quantity and quality, the evaluation index system of the HQDT consists of six dimensions of economic stability, innovation driving, coordination and linkage, green and sustainability, openness and cooperation, and sharing and harmony, which respectively represent the basis, momentum, means, orientation, direction and purpose of the HQDT;2) The level of China’s HQDT shows an upward trend, presenting the characteristics of eastern region > central region > western region > northeastern region in 2019. The regional differences in China’s HQDT show a downward trend, and the intra-regional differences have replaced the inter-regional differences as the main source of regional differences;3) China’s HQDT shows the characteristics of higher in the east and lower in the west along the Hu line, while the improvement speed of HQDT shows the characteristics of faster in the west and slower in the east, making the decline of east-west differentiation of China’s HQDT and the movement of the gravity center towards southwest;4) Both HQDT and TDS are obviously driven by tourism capital investment and regional consumption. In terms of differences, the HQDT is more driven by government guidance, innovation driving force, and opening up, while the main driving factors of TDS are more biased toward capital elements and hardware facilities, including informatization, tourism resource, traffic, and eco-environment.

Poverty reduction effects of integrating high-quality development and cultural tourism in China

The integration of the cultural tourism industry with high-quality development is believed to be an important method of alleviating poverty.Most research in this area has focused on single towns,cities,or regions without considering the spillover effects of neighboring areas.To fill this gap,this study applies a spatial panel econometric model to empirically test the spatial spillover effects of integrating the cultural tourism industry with high-quality developments and their mechanisms of poverty alleviation based on provincial panel data of the Chinese Mainland from 2010 to 2020.Four key results are presented.First,there is an obvious spatial dependence on the high-quality development scale,specialization level,and poverty level of cultural tourism integration.The common panel model is found to overestimate the impact of this integration on poverty alleviation because it ignores the spatial spillover-related explanatory variables.Second,the scale of development quality is found to have no significant impact on poverty alleviation when integrating cultural tourism;however,the level of development specialization has both a direct impact on poverty alleviation and the spatial spillover effect.Third,the integration of the cultural tourism industry in the Central and Western regions is shown to have a strong direct effect on poverty reduction through high-quality development.However,the spillover effect on poverty reduction in the Eastern region is greater than that in the Central and Western regions.Fourth,the integration of high-quality development and cultural tourism is found to have a direct impact on poverty alleviation overall by promoting tourism consumption,material capital accumulation,and structural transformation.

The problems faced by the development of Guangshan County were analyzed from the aspects of rural management talents,industrial structure,e-commerce development,and farmers'ideology,and corresponding solutions were proposed to improve the development speed of rural areas in the county and promote the high-quality development of the county as a whole.

Rural Tourism Development Strategies of Shaanxi Province in North China

Rural tourism development in Shaanxi Province is introduced:largely improved with a fast speed; large quantity of rural tourist sites covering a great range, a complete product system; more and more investment; new progress in the construction of management system and guarantee system; progress in the construction of new countryside. Development advantages and opportunities of rural tourism industry in Shaanxi Province are analyzed: rich humanistic, natural and agricultural resources are inborn advantages of its rural tourism development; excellent location and increasing GDP per capita provides more market opportunities for rural tourism development; prospering tourism industry provides an excellent exterior environment for rural tourism development; a complete traffic network facilitates rural tourism development. Then development strategies for the rural tourism industry of Shaanxi Province are given:government should be a guider, planning should be accelerated, layouts reasonably designed, rural tourism development concepts clarified; brands should be created to drive the overall development by using several prominent scenic spots and promote the scale-development of rural tourism industry; the core strategy is to launch concrete programs and promote rural tourism development; publicity should be enhanced to make the good reputation of rural tourism more popular; standard regulations should be made, special staff trained for rural tourism services and the system of "farm-stay" association improved.

Research on Development Mode of Rural Tourism Based on Experience

In view of the changes of tourism industry in the background of experience economy, and starting from the perspective that the emotional needs of tourists were boosting and they had paid increasing attention upon experience during the process of travelling, this research tried to find out a new development mode of rural tourism which took identification of tourism resource , subdivision of target market, designing of experience projects and personnel training into consideration. In the process of development, designing and implementation, it emphasized the definiteness of development direction, construction of unique theme, creation of experience atmosphere, showing tourists the charm of countryside in a full and deep way, and consequently highlighted the cultural, recreational and regional feature of rural tourism. What's more, it should satisfy tourists' emotional needs with emotional, interactive and personalized tourist products, leave tourists unique experience and good memories, prolong tourists' stay and enhance their loyalty, so as to generate higher economic benefits, promote rural economic growth and construct harmonious new countryside.

Protection and Rural Tourism Development of Ancient Wuji Town in Hengdong County of Hunan Province,China

Wuji Town,which is located by the east of Mt.Hengshan(one of the Five Mountains in China),and the side of Mishui River(a principal east-west water transport in ancient central and southern regions of Hunan),once was an important commercial town and a political,economic and cultural center in the lower and middle reaches of Mishui River due to the particular historical opportunities.Its tourist resources are characterized by "integrated natural scenery and ancient town,highly concentrated scenic spots,prosperous business in the history,row upon row of stores and workshops,numerous temples and ancestral halls,and various festivals".It was proposed that the protection and rural tourism development of Wuji Town should be based on consciousness raising,unification of concepts,scientific planning,application of integrated protection means,and development of regional clusters on the basis of famous mountain and city.

Investigation and Development of Rural Tourism Resources in Xi'an City

Rural tourism resources in Xi'an City were comprehensively studied with national standard and classification standard based on characteristics of rural tourism.Through investigation and statistical method,rural tourism resources in Xi'an City were analyzed,based on which further development of those resources was studied.Finally,with Xi'an modern theme park and Yanxiang folk-culture village as typical cases,their tourism developments were analyzed from meso-scale perspective.

Research on the Development of Rural Tourism Market Based on Undergraduates

Rural tourism,as an important component of tourism and leisure,has witnessed a rapid growth in recent years and gradually become an outstanding point in tourism industry.Questionnaire survey was carried out among undergraduates in the Nanjing Agricultural University by applying multi-stage random sampling,on the basis of which undergraduates' perception of travelling,tourism inclination,motivation and ways of travelling were analyzed.Characteristics of undergraduate tourism market were summarized,and corresponding suggestions were given to broaden the rural tourism market of undergraduates.

Further Development of Rural Tourism in Yangshuo County of Guangxi, China

Based on the analysis of the concept of rural tourism, this essay summarized current status and achievements of Yangshuo tourism development in the past 30 years, and also comprehensively analyzed its advantages of location, resources, industry, market and infrastructure. In the interim, it pointed out problems of environment, administration, operation, information delay and distribution of interests. Furthermore, it discussed the sustainable development strategy of Yangshuo rural tourism, emphasized the importance of environmental protection and eco-effects in further development, as well as sorting out the relationship among different governmental departments, perfecting tourism mechanism, improving the training system for practitioners, enhancing service quality, strengthening advertising, promotion, image of tourism brand and research on more diverse tourist projects.

Evaluation of Tourism Status in Sustainable Rural Development by Reynard Model (Case Study: Pa Ghaleh Village, Mamasani County, Iran)

The greatest service industry and income gainer throughout the world occupies a special role and position in developing geographical areas. This study attempts to use “Reynard” model to investigate the role of tourism and its effects on the development of rural settlements with emphasis on Pa Ggaleh Village, which is one of the environs in Mamasani, Iran. Due to its historical and religious attractions and natural and cultural landscapes, this village is highly significant and has the potential to become a tourism hub and attract tourists. The methodology applied in this research is cross-sectional. Tourism potentials of Pa Ghaleh village are identified and evaluated in this study. Geological maps, topographies and field data are used to evaluate the district attractions. Their tourism potentials are also evaluated and rated using Reynard model. According to the sub-criteria of rarity and historical geography, the research results indicate that scientific value has the highest rank. In other words, tourism places in Pa Ghaleh village include 72% of scientific value, 0.59% of added value and 0.57% of compound value.

Rural Tourism Development in China:Principles,Models and the Future

Rural tourism in China,has undergone a rapid development in the last three decades.It is an emerging and effective catalyst that promotes industrial restructuring,agricultural development and the upgrading of rural areas.However,there remains little understanding about the core issues of rural tourism in China:the exact connotation,the principles,the development models and the future directions.This review paper identifies the key issues based on literature analysis,national statistics and press reports to form a general picture of the past,the current and the future prospects of China's rural tourism.The paper firstly addresses the definition,content and principles of rural tourism,and then provides an overview and brief evaluation of the progress and the current development models in China.Finally,based on the analysis of the experiences and problems,the authors sum up with five pathways of the future development of China's rural tourism from the perspective of rural tourism resources,product,market and promotion.

Development Strategies for Rural Tourism in Mountainous Areas under the Background of Rural Revitalization:Taking Xujia Village,Meiling Town,Nanchang City as an Example

Rural tourism industry is a new typical tourism industry in China to promote the strategic integration and linkage development of secondary and tertiary industries,and has developed into a new path to promote the strategic integration and development of rural major projects and revitalize industries[1].At present,China's rural cultural tourism is developing rapidly,but there are also some problems,such as single construction mode,accurate product positioning,lack of cultural connotation,etc.,facing the development dilemma of high quality[2].Under the background of rural revitalization strategy,the overall development of eco-tourism is an important direction of rural tourism development[3].Meiling town is located in the present Xinjian District of Nanchang City(the former Wanli District).As the central garden of Nanchang City,Meiling town has a good tourism foundation and rich eco-tourism resources,with good prospects of eco-tourism development.Taking Xujia Village in Meiling town as an example,this article analyzes the favorable and unfavorable factors of rural tourism development,and puts forward a new rural tourism development road with rural tourism as the center,ecological civilization construction as the core and rural reconstruction as the guiding concept.
