However, its actual impact is significantly influenced by the semantic ambiguity problem of tags. So, in this paper, we proposed a novel way of detecting homonyms, one of the main sources of tag＇s semantic ambiguity problem, in noisy folksonomies. The study is based on two hypotheses： 1） Users having different interests tend to have different understanding of the same tag. 2） Users having similar interest tend to have common understanding of the same tag. Therefore, we firstly discover user communities according to users＇ interests. Then, tag contexts are discovered in subsets of folksonomy on the basis of user communities. The experimental results show that our method is effective and outperform the method finding tag contexts using all tags in folksonomy with overlapping clustering algorithm especially when various users having different interests are contained by the folksonomyo展开更多

According to The Triangle of Reference, words/symbols are endowed with references, some of which are oneon-one connected, and some of which are one-on-multiple colligated, modulated by social convention. Phenomena of using homonym are ubiquitous while the system of using it is still opaque. The multiple meaning of homonym is considered to have a pragmatic mechanism in which the implementing process of utterer and the construing pattern of hearer are regulated and formulated. This paper is tentatively cogitating polysemy in a system of pragmatic utility and tabling a pragmatic mechanism of homonym for better understanding and academic contribution of it.展开更多
BACKGROUND Nonketotic hyperglycemia(NKH)is characterized by hyperglycemia with little or no ketoacidosis.Diverse neurological symptoms have been described in NKH patients,including choreoathetosis,hemiballismus,seizur...BACKGROUND Nonketotic hyperglycemia(NKH)is characterized by hyperglycemia with little or no ketoacidosis.Diverse neurological symptoms have been described in NKH patients,including choreoathetosis,hemiballismus,seizures,and coma in severe cases.Homonymous hemianopia,with or without occipital seizures,caused by hyperglycemia is less readily recognized.CASE SUMMARY We describe a 54-year-old man with NKH,who reported seeing round,colored flickering lights with right homonymous hemianopia.Cranial magnetic resonance imaging demonstrated abnormalities in the left occipital lobe,with decreased T2 signal of the white matter,restricted diffusion,and corresponding low signal intensity in the apparent diffusion coefficient map.He responded to rehydration and a low-dose insulin regimen,with improvements of his visual field defect.CONCLUSION Patients with NKH may present focal neurologic signs.Hyperglycemia should be taken into consideration when making an etiologic diagnosis of homonymous hemianopia.展开更多

Two previously unknown species of hydromedusae,i.e.Bougainvillia leizhouensis Xu,Guo&Wang,sp.nov.and Octocannoides tetranema Xu,Guo&Wang,sp.nov.were found in plankton samples collected during oceanographic cru...Two previously unknown species of hydromedusae,i.e.Bougainvillia leizhouensis Xu,Guo&Wang,sp.nov.and Octocannoides tetranema Xu,Guo&Wang,sp.nov.were found in plankton samples collected during oceanographic cruises along the Leizhou Bay of the northern South China Sea.All new species are described and illustrated here.Identification keys to the known species of genera Bougainvillia and Octocannoides,and the genera of family Octocannoididae are provided,respectively.In addition,the genus name Pedunculus Xu,Huang&Guo,2019 is preoccupied,and Stylogastria Xu,Huang&Guo,nom.nov.is proposed to replace it.All type specimens are deposited in the College of Ocean and Earth Sciences,Xiamen University.展开更多
