However, the current role of pharmacists in the supervision and protection of rational drug use has not been fully exerted. This article is aimed to investigate the current situation of pharmacists’ work of rational drug use from the perspectives of pharmacists, physicians, and patients. It is found that the professional value of pharmacists in the rational drug use has not been valued by medical institutions, physicians, and patients. Pharmacists face problems such as workload, working conditions, and doctor-patient cooperation in the rational drug use. Suggestions are made for further exerting the professional value of pharmacists in promoting the level of rational drug use. Relevant managers should pay full attention to the professional value of pharmacists, and provide corresponding system and facility guarantees for pharmacists to carry out rational drug use.展开更多
Objective To aim at summarizing the role of hospital pharmacists in clinical drug trials in China against the background that hospital pharmacists have already involved in team-based patient care.Methods The roles and...Objective To aim at summarizing the role of hospital pharmacists in clinical drug trials in China against the background that hospital pharmacists have already involved in team-based patient care.Methods The roles and responsibilities of Chinese hospital pharmacists were listed and categorized.Results and Conclusion There has been an upsurge in clinical drug trials in China.Hospital pharmacists play increasingly important roles in all aspects of clinical trials,such as stakeholder liaisons,protocol developers,ethics committee members,research team members,study drug managers,and subject intervention agents.Hospital pharmacists are an integral part of a clinical drug trial multidisciplinary team.Their value is reflected in several pharmacist-led or pharmacist-participating clinical trials as well as the trial project management position within hospitals.Pharmacists should be the designers,researchers,managers and supervisors of clinical drug trials.We expect that all clinical trial projects will include hospital pharmacists in their research teams soon.展开更多
A total of 626 questionnaires were collected and analyzed to study the current status of Clinical Pharmacist Pilot Training（CPPT）in Chinese hospitals.The training satisfaction of the training hospitals,trainees,and ...A total of 626 questionnaires were collected and analyzed to study the current status of Clinical Pharmacist Pilot Training（CPPT）in Chinese hospitals.The training satisfaction of the training hospitals,trainees,and the trainee providing hospitals are all very high,among which the satisfaction of the training hospital is the highest.According to the results of the questionnaire, the most important training mode in the training hospitals＇ opinion is different from that in the trainees＇ opinion.Trainees prefer more initiative,practical,and participatory training and hope to learn from the wards round process,while the training hospitals are more inclined to group discussion and teaching.It＇s necessary to increase the number of eligible training hospitals, to implement one on one mentoring strategy in hospital pharmacist training,and to increase active learning in the training program. The result of this research would help to build more effective and efficient pharmacist training programs in Chinese hospitals.展开更多

The competency mo...Based on the competency model building theory, a literature review, a behavioral event interview and statistical analysis were used in this study to build a competency model for pharmacists in China. The competency model framework for pharmacists included five dimensions of characteristics, consisting of 25 competency elements of pharmacists, such as the general competency elements that all pharmacists should possess and outstanding competency elements that community pharmacists and hospital pharmacists should possess. This newly constructed competency model for pharmacists helped develop and cultivate the abilities of future Chinese pharmacists.展开更多
