Hot deformation of sintered billets by powder metallurgy(PM)is an effective preparation technique for titanium alloys,which is more significant for high-alloying alloys.In this study,Ti–6.5Al–2Zr–Mo–V(TA15)titaniu...Hot deformation of sintered billets by powder metallurgy(PM)is an effective preparation technique for titanium alloys,which is more significant for high-alloying alloys.In this study,Ti–6.5Al–2Zr–Mo–V(TA15)titanium alloy plates were prepared by cold press-ing sintering combined with high-temperature hot rolling.The microstructure and mechanical properties under different process paramet-ers were investigated.Optical microscope,electron backscatter diffraction,and others were applied to characterize the microstructure evolution and mechanical properties strengthening mechanism.The results showed that the chemical compositions were uniformly dif-fused without segregation during sintering,and the closing of the matrix craters was accelerated by increasing the sintering temperature.The block was hot rolled at 1200℃ with an 80%reduction under only two passes without annealing.The strength and elongation of the plate at 20–25℃ after solution and aging were 1247 MPa and 14.0%,respectively,which were increased by 24.5%and 40.0%,respect-ively,compared with the as-sintered alloy at 1300℃.The microstructure was significantly refined by continuous dynamic recrystalliza-tion,which was completed by the rotation and dislocation absorption of the substructure surrounded by low-angle grain boundaries.After hot rolling combined with heat treatment,the strength and plasticity of PM-TA15 were significantly improved,which resulted from the dense,uniform,and fine recrystallization structure and the synergistic effect of multiple slip systems.展开更多
A novel lightweight,radiation-shielding Mg-Ta-Al layered metal-matrix composite(LMC)was successful designed by doping the extremely refractory metal(Ta)into Mg sheets.These Mg-based LMCs sheets shows excellent radiati...A novel lightweight,radiation-shielding Mg-Ta-Al layered metal-matrix composite(LMC)was successful designed by doping the extremely refractory metal(Ta)into Mg sheets.These Mg-based LMCs sheets shows excellent radiation-dose shield effect,about 145 krad·a^(−1),which is about 17 times of traditional Mg alloy,while its surface density is only about 0.9 g·cm^(−2),reducing by 60%than that of pure Ta.The quantitate relationship between radiation-dose and the materials’thickness was also confirmed to the logistic function when the surface density is in the range of 0.6-1.5 g·cm^(−2).Meantime,the rolling parameters,interface microstructure and mechanical properties in both as-rolled and annealing treated samples were evaluated.The sheets possess a special dissimilar atoms diffusion transitional zone containing an obvious inter-diffusion Mg-Al interface and the unique micro-corrugated Ta-Al interface,as well as a thin Al film with a thickness of about 10μm.The special zone could reduce the stress concentration and enhance the strength of Mg-Ta-Al LMCs.The interface bonding strength reaches up to 54-76 MPa.The ultimate tensile strength(UTS)and yield strength(TYS)of the Mg-Ta-Al sheet were high to 413 MPa and 263 MPa,respectively,along with an elongation of 5.8%.The molecular dynamics(MD)analysis results show that the two interfaces exhibit different formation mechanism,the Mg-Al interface primarily depended on Mg/Al atoms diffusion basing point defects movement,while the Ta-Al interface with a micro-interlock pining shape formed by close-packed planes slipping during high temperature strain-induced deformation process.展开更多

The multi-pass hot rolling contributes to the achievement of a uniformly recrystallized microstructure with fine grains in the rolled sheet. The sheet temperature before the finish rolling strongly affects the final grain size, but hardly affects the grain size distribution. Based on the important boundary conditions of rolling simulation including friction, heat conduction and interactionsof the workpiece and rolls, the hot continuous rolling processes of large-diameter mandrel round bar...Based on the important boundary conditions of rolling simulation including friction, heat conduction and interactionsof the workpiece and rolls, the hot continuous rolling processes of large-diameter mandrel round bar (200 mm indiameter) in 6VH-stand hot tandem mill are successfully simulated by three-dimensional coupled thermomechanicalelastoplastic finite element method (FEM). The distributions of stress, strain, temperature and the rolling force andtorque for the two-pass and four-pass continuous rolling are calculated respectively. Thus, the two and four-passroll schedules are verified, respectively. The simulation results show that it is safe to produce 200 mm round barby the two-pass (oval pass and round pass) continuous rolling on the existing equipment compared to the four-passcontinuous rolling. There are concave surfaces and increased widths occurring at the end of rolled billet due touneven deformations between the outside and inside of the workpiece as well as the free spreading close to the rollgap of the final pass.展开更多

The microstructure, microhardness, phase rat...The thermoplasticity of duplex stainless steel 2205(DSS2205) is better than that of lean duplex steel 2101(LDX2101), which undergoes severe cracking during hot rolling. The microstructure, microhardness, phase ratio, and recrystallization dependence of the deformation compatibility of LDX2101 and DSS2205 were investigated using optical microscopy(OM), electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD), Thermo-Calc software, and transmission electron microscopy(TEM). The results showed that the phase-ratio transformations of LDX2101 and DSS2205 were almost equal under the condition of increasing solution temperature. Thus, the phase transformation was not the main cause for the hot plasticity difference of these two steels. The grain size of LDX2101 was substantially greater than that of DSS2205, and the microhardness difference of LDX2101 was larger than that of DSS2205. This difference hinders the transfer of strain from ferrite to austenite. In the rolling process, the ferrite grains of LDX2101 underwent continuous softening and were substantially refined. However, although little recrystallization occurred at the boundaries of austenite, serious deformation accumulated in the interior of austenite, leading to a substantial increase in hardness. The main cause of crack formation is the microhardness difference between ferrite and austenite.展开更多

Cu-1%Cr(mass fraction)and Cu-1%Cr-5%carbon nanotube(CNT)(mass fraction)nanocomposite powders were produced by mechanical alloying and consolidated by hot pressing.Then,nanocomposites were hot-rolled by the order of 50...Cu-1%Cr(mass fraction)and Cu-1%Cr-5%carbon nanotube(CNT)(mass fraction)nanocomposite powders were produced by mechanical alloying and consolidated by hot pressing.Then,nanocomposites were hot-rolled by the order of 50%reduction at 650°C.The structure and microstructure were investigated by X-ray diffractometry(XRD)and scanning electron microscopy(SEM).Relative density,microhardness,thermal stability,electrical and wear properties were evaluated.Compared to the Cu-Cr sample,the relative density of Cu-Cr-CNT sample is greatly improved from 75%to near full density of 98%by hot rolling.Although electrical conductivity and microhardness increase in both Cu-Cr and Cu-Cr-CNT nanocomposites after hot rolling,the effect of hot rolling on the enhancement is more prominent in the presence of CNTs.The microhardness and electrical conductivity of hot-rolled Cu-Cr-CNT nanocomposite approach HV 175 and 68%(IACS),respectively.Also,hot rolling is more effective on thermal stability improvement of Cu-Cr-CNT nanocomposite compared to Cu-Cr composite.However,after hot rolling,both the friction coef?cient and wear loss of the Cu-Cr sample display higher reduction than those of Cu-Cr-CNT nanocomposite owing to different wear mechanisms.After hot rolling,friction coefficient and wear loss of Cu-Cr sample display variation of 25%and 62%,respectively.展开更多

The results show that flow stress is related to the Zener Hollonom parameter Z and strain, as well as the static recrystallization fraction between passes during multipass hot deformation of 5182 aluminum alloy. Hence, a modified exponential flow stress equation was presented by considering the values of ln A and β as functions of strain, and by using the uniform softening method and incorporating the static recrystallization fraction between passes to consider the effects of residual strain during multipass hot rolling of 5182 aluminum alloy. The validity of the equation was examined by a typical non isothermal multipass deformation test.展开更多

The graphite stringers went mostly through the small pores and generally paralleled to the rolling direction. The influence of alloy elements on graphitization was estimated based on thermodynamics, which showed that Si content was important for graphitization. Graphite stringers nucleated at small pores and grew with carbon diffusion during hot rolling. Alloy contents, pores and hot deformation at γ+Fe3C phase range were the key factors for the formation of graphite. The probable effect of deformation on graphite formation during hot rolling was discussed in this paper.展开更多
Mg-6Al-0.3Mn-xY(x=0,0.3,0.6 and 0.9,mass fraction,%) magnesium alloys were prepared by casting and hot rolling process.The influence of yttrium on microstructure and tensile mechanical properties of the AM60 magnesium...Mg-6Al-0.3Mn-xY(x=0,0.3,0.6 and 0.9,mass fraction,%) magnesium alloys were prepared by casting and hot rolling process.The influence of yttrium on microstructure and tensile mechanical properties of the AM60 magnesium alloy was investigated.The results reveal that with increasing the yttrium content,Al2Y precipitates form and the grain size is reduced.The ultimate strength,yield strength and elongation at room temperature are 192 MPa,62 MPa and 12.6%,respectively,for the as-cast Mg-6Al-0.3Mn-0.9Y alloy.All these properties are improved obviously by hot rolling,and the values are up to 303 MPa,255 MPa and 17.1%,respectively,for the rolled Mg-6Al-0.3Mn-0.9Y alloy.The improvement of mechanical properties is attributed to continuous dynamic recrystallization and the existence of highly thermal stable Al2Y precipitate which impedes the movement of dislocation effectively.展开更多

The bonding modes were studied by optical and scanning electron microscope and energy dispersive X ray analysis, and the effects of the thickness of the intermetallic layers and the Si content in hot dip aluminized layers on the interfacial bonding strength were also investigated respectively. It is found that the hot dipped steel and Al Pb alloy are bonded through blank interface bonding and block interface bonding, and the total bonding strength mainly depends on that of blank interfaces and the fraction of blank interfaces. There is a linear relationship between the total bonding strength F and the fraction of blank interfaces K b. The bonding strength varies with the Si content in the hot dipped aluminized layers on the surface of steel sheets, the fraction of blank interfaces and the rotation of the intermetallic blocks. This process is usually used for axisymmetric components and can lead to im...Deep rolling is one of the most widely used surface mechanical treatments among several methods used to generate compressive residual stress. This process is usually used for axisymmetric components and can lead to improvements of the surface quality, dimensional accuracy, and mechanical properties. In this study, we deduced the appropriate deep rolling parameters for Al-3vol%Si C nanocomposite samples using roughness and microhardness measurements. The nanocomposite samples were fabricated using a combination of mechanical milling, cold pressing, and hot extrusion techniques. Density measurements indicated acceptable densification of the samples, with no porosity. The results of tensile tests showed that the samples are sufficiently strong for the deep rolling process and also indicated near 50% improvement of tensile strength after incorporating Si C nanoparticle reinforcements. The effects of some important rolling parameters, including the penetration depth, rotation speed, feed rate, and the number of passes, on the surface quality and microhardness were also investigated. The results demonstrated that decreasing the feed rate and increasing the number of passes can lead to greater surface hardness and lower surface roughness.展开更多
Multi-pass hot-rolling technique was used to fabricate W80Cu20 alloy,and its properties were characterized in this paper.Results show that the W-Cu alloy sheets with a thickness of 0.5 mm and a relative density of99.8...Multi-pass hot-rolling technique was used to fabricate W80Cu20 alloy,and its properties were characterized in this paper.Results show that the W-Cu alloy sheets with a thickness of 0.5 mm and a relative density of99.87%can be successfully made using this new technique at 800℃.In hot-rolling process,Cu phases are closely surrounded by W particles under the rolling stress to form a network microstructure,thus making significant increase in electrical and thermal conductivity up to53.00%and 24.44%,respectively.Transverse and longitudinal hardness of the W–Cu sheets significantly increase due to the enhanced densification and deformation strength.Similar to that of the raw materials,three fracture types were observed in the hot-rolled materials,i.e.,ductile fracture of Cu binding phases,trans-granular fracture of W phases,and W–W interfacial fracture.展开更多
Novel water-based nanolubricants using TiO2 nanoparticles(NPs)were synthesised by adding sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate(SDBS)and glycerol,which exhibited excellent dispersion stability and wettability.The tribologic...Novel water-based nanolubricants using TiO2 nanoparticles(NPs)were synthesised by adding sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate(SDBS)and glycerol,which exhibited excellent dispersion stability and wettability.The tribological performance of the synthesised nanolubricants was investigated using an Rtec ball-on-disk tribometer,and their application in hot steel rolling was evaluated on a 2-high Hille 100 experimental rolling mill,in comparison to those without SDBS.The water-based nanolubricant containing 4 wt%TiO2 and 0.4 wt%SDBS demonstrated superior tribological performance by decreasing coefficient of friction and ball wear up to 70.5%and 84.3%,respectively,compared to those of pure water.In addition to the lubrication effect,the suspensions also had significant effect on polishing of the work roll surface.The resultant surface improvement thus enabled the decrease in rolling force up to 8.3%under a workpiece reduction of 30%at a rolling temperature of 850◦C.The lubrication mechanisms were primarily ascribed to the formation of lubricating film and ball-bearing effect of the TiO2 NPs.展开更多

The spray-deposited alloy was subsequently hot-rolled with a 80% reduction at 350 ℃. The microstructural features of the as-spray-deposited and hot-rolled alloy were examined by optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffractometry. The results show that the spray-formed AZ91 magnesium alloy has, compared with the as-cast ingot, a finer microstructure with less intermetallic phase Mg17Al12 dispersed in the matrix due to fast cooling and solidification rates of spray forming process, and, therefore showing excellent workability. It can be hot-rolled with nearly 20% reduction for one pass at lower temperatures (330-360℃), and the total reduction can reach 50% prior to annealing. After proper thermo-mechanical treatment, the spray-formed AZ91 magnesium alloy exhibits outstanding mechanical properties.展开更多

On the basis of the industrial data, th...An integrated metallurgical model was developed for Nb steels to predict the microstructure evolution and mechanical properties during the hot-strip rolling and cooling process. On the basis of the industrial data, the transformation kinetics, strength, and elongation rate were evaluated for different chemical compositions and processing parameters. The yield strength and tensile strength increase with increasing Nb content or decreasing finishing temperature. The bainite distributed in finer ferrite matrix, which is produced at relatively low coiling temperatures, can greatly increase the strength of steel, especially tensile strength, thereby decreasing the yield ratio. A reasonable agreement was found between the predicted and measured results. It indicates that the present models can be used to simulate the actual production process.展开更多

There are concave surfaces and increased widths occurring at the end of rolled billet due touneven deformations between the outside and inside of the workpiece as well as the free spreading close to the rollgap of the final pass.

文摘A three-dimensional model for strip hot rolling was developed, in which the plastic deformation of strip, the thermal crown of rolls, roll deflection and flattening were calculated by rigid-plastic finite element method, finite difference method, influential function method and elastic finite element method respectively. The roll wear was taken into consideration. The model can provide detailed information such as rolling pressure distribution, contact pressure distribution between backup rolls and work rolls, deflection and flattening of work rolls, lateral distribution of strip thickness, and lateral distribution of front and back tensions. The finish rolling on a 1 450 mm hot strip mill was simulated.

文摘The thermoplasticity of duplex stainless steel 2205(DSS2205) is better than that of lean duplex steel 2101(LDX2101), which undergoes severe cracking during hot rolling. The microstructure, microhardness, phase ratio, and recrystallization dependence of the deformation compatibility of LDX2101 and DSS2205 were investigated using optical microscopy(OM), electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD), Thermo-Calc software, and transmission electron microscopy(TEM). The results showed that the phase-ratio transformations of LDX2101 and DSS2205 were almost equal under the condition of increasing solution temperature. Thus, the phase transformation was not the main cause for the hot plasticity difference of these two steels. The grain size of LDX2101 was substantially greater than that of DSS2205, and the microhardness difference of LDX2101 was larger than that of DSS2205. This difference hinders the transfer of strain from ferrite to austenite. In the rolling process, the ferrite grains of LDX2101 underwent continuous softening and were substantially refined. However, although little recrystallization occurred at the boundaries of austenite, serious deformation accumulated in the interior of austenite, leading to a substantial increase in hardness. The main cause of crack formation is the microhardness difference between ferrite and austenite.

文摘In the present study,the texture evolution and mechanical anisotropy in a typical Mg–Zn–Ca alloy through hot cross rolling(CR)and unidirectional rolling(UR)were systematically studied.The results show that the rolling path greatly affects the annealed texture.The UR develops a texture with basal poles mainly distributing along the transverse direction(TD).By contrast,an ellipse-like(0002)texture with basal pole inclining largely away from the normal direction(ND)is developed after hot cross rolling and annealing.Therefore,the CR is an effective method to tailor the texture of the experimental alloy.Unfortunately,this ellipse-like texture could not reserve during the subsequent unidirectional hot rolling and annealing.Both UR and CR plates exhibit a strong planar mechanical anisotropy compared with the traditional unidirectional rolled plate.

文摘Cu-1%Cr(mass fraction)and Cu-1%Cr-5%carbon nanotube(CNT)(mass fraction)nanocomposite powders were produced by mechanical alloying and consolidated by hot pressing.Then,nanocomposites were hot-rolled by the order of 50%reduction at 650°C.The structure and microstructure were investigated by X-ray diffractometry(XRD)and scanning electron microscopy(SEM).Relative density,microhardness,thermal stability,electrical and wear properties were evaluated.Compared to the Cu-Cr sample,the relative density of Cu-Cr-CNT sample is greatly improved from 75%to near full density of 98%by hot rolling.Although electrical conductivity and microhardness increase in both Cu-Cr and Cu-Cr-CNT nanocomposites after hot rolling,the effect of hot rolling on the enhancement is more prominent in the presence of CNTs.The microhardness and electrical conductivity of hot-rolled Cu-Cr-CNT nanocomposite approach HV 175 and 68%(IACS),respectively.Also,hot rolling is more effective on thermal stability improvement of Cu-Cr-CNT nanocomposite compared to Cu-Cr composite.However,after hot rolling,both the friction coef?cient and wear loss of the Cu-Cr sample display higher reduction than those of Cu-Cr-CNT nanocomposite owing to different wear mechanisms.After hot rolling,friction coefficient and wear loss of Cu-Cr sample display variation of 25%and 62%,respectively.
文摘A recrystallization model for hot rolling of 5182 aluminum alloy was presented by means of the fractional softening during double interval deformation. It is found that the recrystallization rate depends on strain rate more sensitively than deformation temperature, and the time for full recrystallization is very short as strain rate is greater than 1?s -1 . Using the recrystallization—time—temperature curves, the desirable hot rolled microstructure can be obtained by controlling the rolling speed, temperature and cooling rate before cooling during the last pass in reversing mill.[
文摘A series of simple axisymmetric compression tests were carried out on the computer servo controlled Gleeble 1 500 machine when strain rates ranged between 0.05 25 s -1 and deformation temperature 300 500 ℃. The results show that flow stress is related to the Zener Hollonom parameter Z and strain, as well as the static recrystallization fraction between passes during multipass hot deformation of 5182 aluminum alloy. Hence, a modified exponential flow stress equation was presented by considering the values of ln A and β as functions of strain, and by using the uniform softening method and incorporating the static recrystallization fraction between passes to consider the effects of residual strain during multipass hot rolling of 5182 aluminum alloy. The validity of the equation was examined by a typical non isothermal multipass deformation test.
文摘The graphitization behavior of ultrahigh carbon steels containing Si in hot rolling processes was investigated. The graphite stringers went mostly through the small pores and generally paralleled to the rolling direction. The influence of alloy elements on graphitization was estimated based on thermodynamics, which showed that Si content was important for graphitization. Graphite stringers nucleated at small pores and grew with carbon diffusion during hot rolling. Alloy contents, pores and hot deformation at γ+Fe3C phase range were the key factors for the formation of graphite. The probable effect of deformation on graphite formation during hot rolling was discussed in this paper.

文摘Mg-6Al-0.3Mn-xY(x=0,0.3,0.6 and 0.9,mass fraction,%) magnesium alloys were prepared by casting and hot rolling process.The influence of yttrium on microstructure and tensile mechanical properties of the AM60 magnesium alloy was investigated.The results reveal that with increasing the yttrium content,Al2Y precipitates form and the grain size is reduced.The ultimate strength,yield strength and elongation at room temperature are 192 MPa,62 MPa and 12.6%,respectively,for the as-cast Mg-6Al-0.3Mn-0.9Y alloy.All these properties are improved obviously by hot rolling,and the values are up to 303 MPa,255 MPa and 17.1%,respectively,for the rolled Mg-6Al-0.3Mn-0.9Y alloy.The improvement of mechanical properties is attributed to continuous dynamic recrystallization and the existence of highly thermal stable Al2Y precipitate which impedes the movement of dislocation effectively.

In the paper, we analyze the RFC (profile and flatness control) system and simulate the set-up process. Calculation results are in agreement to the actual measurements. It is the basis on the developing model.
文摘Al Pb alloy strips and hot dip aluminized steel sheets were successfully bonded together by hot rolling, and the interfacial bonding strengths after rolling was evaluated by a new method. The bonding modes were studied by optical and scanning electron microscope and energy dispersive X ray analysis, and the effects of the thickness of the intermetallic layers and the Si content in hot dip aluminized layers on the interfacial bonding strength were also investigated respectively. It is found that the hot dipped steel and Al Pb alloy are bonded through blank interface bonding and block interface bonding, and the total bonding strength mainly depends on that of blank interfaces and the fraction of blank interfaces. There is a linear relationship between the total bonding strength F and the fraction of blank interfaces K b. The bonding strength varies with the Si content in the hot dipped aluminized layers on the surface of steel sheets, the fraction of blank interfaces and the rotation of the intermetallic blocks. [
文摘Deep rolling is one of the most widely used surface mechanical treatments among several methods used to generate compressive residual stress. This process is usually used for axisymmetric components and can lead to improvements of the surface quality, dimensional accuracy, and mechanical properties. In this study, we deduced the appropriate deep rolling parameters for Al-3vol%Si C nanocomposite samples using roughness and microhardness measurements. The nanocomposite samples were fabricated using a combination of mechanical milling, cold pressing, and hot extrusion techniques. Density measurements indicated acceptable densification of the samples, with no porosity. The results of tensile tests showed that the samples are sufficiently strong for the deep rolling process and also indicated near 50% improvement of tensile strength after incorporating Si C nanoparticle reinforcements. The effects of some important rolling parameters, including the penetration depth, rotation speed, feed rate, and the number of passes, on the surface quality and microhardness were also investigated. The results demonstrated that decreasing the feed rate and increasing the number of passes can lead to greater surface hardness and lower surface roughness.

文摘Multi-pass hot-rolling technique was used to fabricate W80Cu20 alloy,and its properties were characterized in this paper.Results show that the W-Cu alloy sheets with a thickness of 0.5 mm and a relative density of99.87%can be successfully made using this new technique at 800℃.In hot-rolling process,Cu phases are closely surrounded by W particles under the rolling stress to form a network microstructure,thus making significant increase in electrical and thermal conductivity up to53.00%and 24.44%,respectively.Transverse and longitudinal hardness of the W–Cu sheets significantly increase due to the enhanced densification and deformation strength.Similar to that of the raw materials,three fracture types were observed in the hot-rolled materials,i.e.,ductile fracture of Cu binding phases,trans-granular fracture of W phases,and W–W interfacial fracture.

文摘Novel water-based nanolubricants using TiO2 nanoparticles(NPs)were synthesised by adding sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate(SDBS)and glycerol,which exhibited excellent dispersion stability and wettability.The tribological performance of the synthesised nanolubricants was investigated using an Rtec ball-on-disk tribometer,and their application in hot steel rolling was evaluated on a 2-high Hille 100 experimental rolling mill,in comparison to those without SDBS.The water-based nanolubricant containing 4 wt%TiO2 and 0.4 wt%SDBS demonstrated superior tribological performance by decreasing coefficient of friction and ball wear up to 70.5%and 84.3%,respectively,compared to those of pure water.In addition to the lubrication effect,the suspensions also had significant effect on polishing of the work roll surface.The resultant surface improvement thus enabled the decrease in rolling force up to 8.3%under a workpiece reduction of 30%at a rolling temperature of 850◦C.The lubrication mechanisms were primarily ascribed to the formation of lubricating film and ball-bearing effect of the TiO2 NPs.

文摘AZ91 magnesium alloy was prepared by spray forming. The spray-deposited alloy was subsequently hot-rolled with a 80% reduction at 350 ℃. The microstructural features of the as-spray-deposited and hot-rolled alloy were examined by optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffractometry. The results show that the spray-formed AZ91 magnesium alloy has, compared with the as-cast ingot, a finer microstructure with less intermetallic phase Mg17Al12 dispersed in the matrix due to fast cooling and solidification rates of spray forming process, and, therefore showing excellent workability. It can be hot-rolled with nearly 20% reduction for one pass at lower temperatures (330-360℃), and the total reduction can reach 50% prior to annealing. After proper thermo-mechanical treatment, the spray-formed AZ91 magnesium alloy exhibits outstanding mechanical properties.

文摘An integrated metallurgical model was developed for Nb steels to predict the microstructure evolution and mechanical properties during the hot-strip rolling and cooling process. On the basis of the industrial data, the transformation kinetics, strength, and elongation rate were evaluated for different chemical compositions and processing parameters. The yield strength and tensile strength increase with increasing Nb content or decreasing finishing temperature. The bainite distributed in finer ferrite matrix, which is produced at relatively low coiling temperatures, can greatly increase the strength of steel, especially tensile strength, thereby decreasing the yield ratio. A reasonable agreement was found between the predicted and measured results. It indicates that the present models can be used to simulate the actual production process.
