Based on an assumption that the effective pressure in hot pressing related to the applied pressure varies with the relative density of the compact in a power law form. a three-dimensional viscoelastic model that depicts the viscoelastic detormation behaviour of powder compacts in hot pressing has been developed. It has been shown by the experimental data that the proposed model in which the parameters are determined by means of nonlinear regression analysis can be used to describe the density-time relationship for the hot pressing of pure magnesium oxide and atomized iron powders and to estimate the end-point relative density of the compact. 展开更多

Abstract:The aim of this research is to design and operate a 10 kW hot chemical-looping gasification(CLG)unit using Fe2O3/Al2O3as an oxygen carrier and saw dust as a fuel.The effect of the operation temperature on gas composition in the air reactor and the fuel reactor,and the carbon conversion of biomass to CO2and CO in the fuel reactor have been experimentally studied.A total60 h run has been obtained with the same batch of oxygen carrier of iron oxide supported with alumina.The results show that CO and H2concentrations are increased with increasing temperature in the fuel reactor.It is also found that with increasing fuel reactor temperature,both the amount of residual char in the fuel reactor and CO2concentration of the exit gas from the air reactor are degreased.Carbon conversion rate and gasification efficiency are increased by increasing temperature and H2production at 870℃reaches the highest rate.Scanning electron microscopy(SEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD)and BET-surface area tests have been used to characterize fresh and reacted oxygen carrier particles.The results display that the oxygen carrier activity is not declined and the specific surface area of the oxygen carrier particles is not decreased significantly. 展开更多

A model of deformation resistance during hot strip rolling was established based on generalized additive model.Firstly,a data modeling method based on generalized additive model was given.It included the selection of dependent variable and independent variables of the model,the link function of dependent variable and smoothing functional form of each independent variable,estimating process of the link function and smooth functions,and the last model modification.Then,the practical modeling test was carried out based on a large amount of hot rolling process data.An integrated variable was proposed to reflect the effects of different chemical compositions such as carbon,silicon,manganese,nickel,chromium,niobium,etc.The integrated chemical composition,strain,strain rate and rolling temperature were selected as independent variables and the cubic spline as the smooth function for them.The modeling process of deformation resistance was realized by SAS software,and the influence curves of the independent variables on deformation resistance were obtained by local scoring algorithm.Some interesting phenomena were found,for example,there is a critical value of strain rate,and the deformation resistance increases before this value and then decreases.The results confirm that the new model has higher prediction accuracy than traditional ones and is suitable for carbon steel,microalloyed steel,alloyed steel and other steel grades. 展开更多

Developments of new sheet metal forming technology and theory in China are reviewed in detail in this paper.Advances of crystal plasticity on the deformation mechanism of Mg alloy are firstly described, especially its applications on the prediction of sheet forming process. Then, a new macroscopic constitutive model is introduced, which possesses an enhanced description capacity of tension/compression anisotropy and anisotropic hardening. In order to take into account the twinning process of hexagonal close-packed material, a modified hierarchical multi-scale model is also established with adequate accuracy in a shorter computational time. The advanced forming limit of sheet metal, mainly about aluminum alloy, is also investigated. Besides the above theory developments, some new sheet metal forming technologies are reviewed simultaneously. The warm forming technology of Mg alloy is discussed. New processes to form sheet parts and to bend tubes are proposed by using hard granules. On the other hand, a new kind of ultra-high-strength steel based on typical22 Mn B5 by introducing more residual austenite and Cu-rich phase to increase the elongation and strength and its novel forming method that integrates hot stamping and quenching participation are proposed. Progresses in sheet hydroforming,press forging and electromagnetic forming of sheet metal parts are also summarized. 展开更多
