National Protection Zone for Rapeseed Production and Industrial Cluster of Rape in Hubei Province

Hubei Province is the main winter rapeseed producing area in China,and has the national advantage and characteristic industrial cluster of rape.The protection zone for the production of important agricultural products of rapeseed in Hubei Province also ranks first as that in Hunan Province.This paper studied the winter rape industry,the important agricultural product production protection zone of rapeseed,the provincial double-low high-quality rape protection zone and the industrial cluster of rape in Jianghan Plain in Hubei Province,and analyzed the main problems existing in the development of rapeseed production protection zone and industrial cluster of rape.Finally,it came up with strategies including promoting national rape varieties,overcoming the problem of rape"agricultural chip",promoting the"rice+rape"rotation model,and strengthening the protection of intellectual property rights of brand marks.

Intellectual Property Protection,Inheritance,Innovation and Development of Woody Edible Oilseeds in Hubei Province

Only by developing woody edible oilseeds industry can we ensure the safety of the important industrial chain and supply chain of vegetable edible oil in China.There are 13 kinds of woody edible oil plants in Hubei,including Camellia oleifera Abel(oil tea),Juglans regia L.(walnut),Olea europaea L.(olive)and Paeonia suffruticosa(oil peony).This paper studies the main industries of woody edible oilseeds in Hubei Province and their intellectual property resources,and analyzes the main problems in their intellectual property protection,inheritance,innovation and development.Finally,it proposes some strategies,including carrying forward the traditional knowledge related to woody edible oilseeds,innovating the"agricultural chip",creating key counties of national woody edible oil seeds,and developing industrial clusters with national advantages and characteristics.

Conversion relationship of rainfall-soil moisture-groundwater in Quaternary thick cohesive soil in Jianghan Plain,Hubei Province,China

The scientific field test site of rainfall-soil moisture-groundwater conversion in Dabie Mountain Area–Jianghan Plain is located in the northern region of the Jianghan Plain,the transition zone between the Dabie Mountain Area and Jianghan Plain.It’s a great field test site to study the material and energy exchange among rainfall,soil moisture,and groundwater of the Earth’s critical zone in subtropical monsoon climate plain areas.This paper analyzed the connection between rainfall and volume water content(VWC)of soil at different depths of several soil profiles,and the dynamic feature of groundwater was discussed,which reveals the rainfall infiltration recharge of Quaternary Upper Pleistocene strata.The results show that the Quaternary Upper Pleistocene aquifer groundwater accepts a little direct rainfall recharge,while the lateral recharge is the main supplement source.There were 75 effective rainfall events among 120 rainfall events during the monitoring period,with an accumulated amount of 672.9 mm,and the percentages of effective rainfall amount and duration time were 62.50%and 91.56%,respectively.The max evaporation depth at the upper part in Quaternary cohesive soil was no less than 1.4 m.The soil profile was divided into four zones:(1)The sensitive zone of rainfall infiltration within 1.4 m,where the material and energy exchange frequently near the interface between atmosphere and soil;(2)the buffer zone of rainfall infiltration between 1.4 m and 3.5 m;(3)the migration zone of rainfall infiltration between 3.5 m and 5.0 m;and(4)the rainfall infiltration and groundwater level co-influenced zone below 5.0 m.The results revealed the reaction of soil moisture and groundwater to rainfall in the area covered by cohesive soil under humid climate in Earth’s critical zone,which is of great theoretical and practical significance for groundwater resources evaluation and development,groundwater environmental protection,ecological environmental improvement,drought disaster prevention,and flood disaster prevention in subtropical monsoon climate plain areas.

Current Situation,Problems and Optimization Countermeasures of Rice and Shrimp Cultivation Industry in Hubei Province

In recent years,the scale of rice and shrimp cultivation in Hubei Province is expanding year by year,and cultivation model is innovating continuously,while consumption market is enlarging constantly.It realizes"dual use of one land,win-win of grain and fishery,stable grain production,and efficiency increase",and effectively solves the problems that"benefit of grain planting is low,and it is difficult to increase farmers'income".But there are still many problems at present,such as degeneration of crayfish germplasm,increase of disease incidence,centralized entering in the market affecting breeding efficiency,the benefits of rice not brought into full play,large number of business entities,lack of leading enterprises and sufficient supporting.To realize sustainable development of rice and shrimp cultivation industry,Hubei Province should adhere to the problem orientation,do a good job in supporting and capital guidance,increase effective supply,promote scale operation,cultivate leading enterprises,strengthen production management,and improve product quality.

Availability and Affordability of Therapeutic Monoclonal Antibodies After the New Medical Reform in Hubei Province,China

Objective In 2017,China launched a new round of medical reform(NMR)to address the inaccessibility of high-priced drugs for patients with serious diseases.This study explored the impact of the NMR on the accessibility and affordability of high-priced monoclonal antibodies(mAbs),and the effective promotion policies after the NMR.Methods We used a standard method developed by the World Health Organization to conduct two surveys on the availability of mAbs and their prices before and after the NMR in the public hospitals in Hubei province,China.By interviewing hospital pharmacy experts,we identified the potential value of the current NMR in improving the access to therapeutic mAbs.Results The average availability of 13 mAbs increased by 8.1%in the surveyed hospitals of Hubei province after the NMR.The median unit price of 10 mAbs dropped by 34.3%.The average affordability of a treatment cycle of 10 mAbs dropped from 680 days to 298 days of the disposable daily income for a middle-income resident(56.2%reduction).The drug price negotiation of medical insurance inclusion and the promotion of consistent evaluation of generic and original drugs could effectively promote the accessibility of mAbs.However,the zero markup of drug pricing and the limit on the proportion of drug revenues in public hospitals showed certain negative effects on the availability of mAbs.Conclusion Not all current NMR policies play a positive role in promoting the accessibility of mAbs.To further improve the accessibility of mAbs in the future in China,it is therefore critical to increase the investment in independent research and development of high-quality mAbs,establish localized guidelines for the rational use of mAbs in clinical practice,and have a cost-sharing mechanism for high-priced drugs with multiple stakeholders.

The Empirical Analysis of the Impact of Grain Price on CPI in Hubei Province

The paper analyzes the change trend of Hubei province grain price and its influence on CPI, based on data from1990-2014. The analysis results show that the grain price goes through a change of early rising and later reducing during1990-2014, and smoothly fluctuated in recent years with a downward trend; grain price and CPI fluctuations have a consistent trend, but the grain price volatility is ahead of CPI fluctuation; grain price has positive influences on the CPI; there is a longterm equilibrium relationship between them, namely,grain price is a significant cause of CPI fluctuation. Therefore, we should take various measures to stabilize grain price in order to stabilize the CPI.

Analysis on Farmers’ Straw Marketization Behavior and Its Influence Factors: A Case Study of Hubei Province

Crop straw has huge resource potential. It has an important significance for realizing waste recycling and improving eco-environment to prefect straw marketization system and sufficiently stimulate farmers’ straw marketization behavior. Based on 427 copies of investigation data on farmers,influence mechanism framework of farmers’ straw marketization behavior is constructed,and key factors of farmers’ straw marketization behavior are analyzed. Results show that farmers joining in straw marketization account for 42. 1%; in influence factors of farmers’ straw marketization behavior,cultivated land area,market price level,logistics satisfaction and air quality perception have significantly positive impacts on farmers’ straw marketization behavior,while education degree,agricultural income proportion and traffic convenience have significantly negative impacts on farmers’ straw marketization behavior. Therefore,it needs strengthening propaganda intensity,carrying out reasonable subsidies and support,encouraging and breeding new type of organization,and establishing and improving the price mechanism of straw marketization to perfect straw marketization construction.

Market Trend and Development Strategies for Seed Industry in Hubei Province

Crop seed industry is a national strategic and basic core industry,which is the foundation to promote the long-term stable development of agriculture and guarantee the national food security. Hubei is a major agricultural province in central China,and the healthy development of Hubei seed industry plays an important supporting role for the stability and prosperity of the national seed industry. Based on analyzing the scale and characteristics of Hubei seed demand,the market value of Hubei commercial seed is evaluated,the problems of Hubei seed industrial development are discussed,and some recommendations are put forward to strengthen development of Hubei seed industry.

Impacts of the Minimum Purchase Price Policy for Grain on the Planting Area of Rice in Hubei Province Based on a Mixed Linear Model

Impacts of the minimum purchase price policy for grain on the planting area of rice in Hubei Province were analyzed based on a mixed linear model.After the indicator system containing the minimum purchase price policy and other factors influencing the planting area of rice was constructed,principal component analysis of the system was conducted,and then a mixed linear model where the planting area of rice was as the dependent variable was established.The results show that after the exclusion of the interference from other factors,the minimum purchase price policy for grain had a positive impact on the planting area of rice in Hubei Province.That is,the minimum purchase price policy significantly stimulated the growth of rice planting area in Hubei Province.

Study on the Distribution and Community Characteristics of the Endangered Plant Picea neoveitchii Mast. in Hubei Province

In this paper,the geographical distribution,community characteristics and DBH class structure of Picea neoveitchii Mast. population were investigated and analyzed by systematical and ecological approaches. In addition,the endangered mechanism and the protection measures were put forward by analyzing the Picea neoveitchii Mast. resource distribution in Hubei Province to provide effective scientific basis for further research. The results showed that Picea neoveitchii Mast. was found in Baokang,Enshi,Shennongjia and Zhuxi of Hubei Province,there were 9 distribution points and only a wild forest was found in Baokang. The community of Baokang County was not rich in species composition and 32 species,29 genera and 21 families were examined. Meanwhile,temperate zone was the main flora element of this community,the phaenerophytes plant was most dominant and there were few hemicryptophytes and it lacked therophytes. In this community,Picea neoveitchii Mast. was in a dominant position,including lots of treelets,so the age structure of the population was growing.

Financial Poverty Alleviation in Rural Areas of Hubei Province

In order to find out the various restrictions and difficulties of financial poverty alleviation in rural areas,taking Hubei Province as an example,this paper firstly introduced current situations of financial poverty alleviation in rural areas of Hubei Province. Then,it analyzed problems confronted by financial poverty alleviation in rural areas of Hubei Province:( i) subjects of financial poverty alleviation not mature and poverty alleviation risks increased,( ii) backward agricultural insurance system,( iii) rural credit system not perfect,and( iv) weak guiding policies of financial poverty alleviation. Finally,it came up with pertinent recommendations: improving rural financial environment,actively developing the innovation mode of financial poverty alleviation,and strengthening relevant supervision efforts.

Evaluation of Farmer Training Satisfaction Level in Hubei Province

Based on fully understanding the significance of farmer training,this paper builds the evaluation index system for farmer training satisfaction level. Then this paper employs the field survey data about Yichang and Jingzhou in Hubei Province to evaluate the farmer training satisfaction level in Hubei Province. Results show that farmers have high level of satisfaction on agricultural training in Hubei Province,and the average satisfaction level reaches 0. 8556; there are regional differences in the farmer training satisfaction level in Hubei Province; the index weight is not entirely directly proportional to the training satisfaction level in the evaluation index system. Finally,from training courses,training teachers,training organization and follow-up services,this paper brings forward the recommendations for improving farmer training satisfaction level in Hubei Province,improve farmer training system,further improve the effectiveness of training and promote farmers' quality.

Dynamics of the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)epidemic in Wuhan City,Hubei Province and China:a second derivative analysis of the cumulative daily diagnosed cases during the first 85 days

Background:Controlling the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)epidemic requires information beyond new and cumulative cases.This study aims to conduct an in-depth analysis by geographic strata:Wuhan City(hereafter referred to as Wuhan)only,Hubei Province(hereafter referred to as Hubei)excluding Wuhan,and China excluding Hubei.Methods:Daily cumulative confirmed COVID-19 cases between December 8,2019(the date of symptom onset based on patients'recall during the investigation),and March 1,2020,from official sources and published studies were analyzed.The second derivative model was used for information extraction.Data analysis was conducted separately for the three strata.Results:A total of 80026 diagnosed COVID-19 cases were reported during the first 85 days of the epidemic,with 49315 cases from Wuhan,17788 from Hubei excluding Wuhan,and 12923 from China excluding Hubei.Analytical results indicate that the COVID-19 epidemic consists of an Acceleration,a Deceleration,and a Stabilization Phase in all three geographic strata,plus a Silent Attack Phase for Wuhan only.Given the reported incubation period of 14 days,effects of the massive anti-epidemic actions were revealed by both the Acceleration and Deceleration Phases.The Acceleration Phase signaled the effect of the intervention to detect the infected;the Deceleration Phase signaled the declines in new infections after the infected were detected,treated and quarantined.Conclusion:Findings of the study provide new evidence to better monitor the epidemic,evaluate its response to intervention,and predict the trend long.In addition to re-evaluating the control of the COVID-19 epidemic in China,this study provided a model for monitoring outbreaks of COVID-19 in different countries across the world.

This paper takes the Wudang Mountains and Wuhan Battle Memorial Hall as examples to investigate and analyze the losses of Wuhan during the Anti-Japanese War.The paper concludes with two inspirations:to make full use of the intangible cultural heritage spots to carry out patriotism education for primary and middle school students;and to effectively transform the cultural resources of the tourist spots in Hubei Province into cultural industries,in order to achieve the sustainable development of intangible cultural resources of Hubei Province tourist attractions.

Clinical characteristics of novel coronavirus cases in tertiary hospitals in Hubei Province

Background:The 2019 novel coronavirus(2019-nCoV)causing an outbreak of pneumonia in Wuhan,Hubei province of China was isolated in January 2020.This study aims to investigate its epidemiologic history,and analyze the clinical characteristics,treatment regimens,and prognosis of patients infected with 2019-nCoV during this outbreak.Methods:Clinical data from 1372019-nCoV-infected patients admitted to the respiratory departments of nine tertiary hospitals in Hubei province from December 30,2019 to January 24,2020 were retrospectively collected,including general status,clinical manifestations,laboratory test results,imaging characteristics,and treatment regimens.Results:None of the 137 patients(61 males,76 females,aged 20-83 years,median age 57 years)had a definite history of exposure to Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market.Major initial symptoms included fever(112/137,81.8%),coughing(66/137,48.2%),and muscle pain or fatigue(44/137,32.1%),with other,less typical initial symptoms observed at low frequency,including heart palpitations,diarrhea,and headache.Nearly 80%of the patients had normal or decreased white blood cell counts,and 72.3%(99/137)had lymphocytopenia.Lung involvement was present in all cases,with most chest computed tomography scans showing lesions in multiple lung lobes,some of which were dense;ground-glass opacity co-existed with consolidation shadows or cord-like shadows.Given the lack of effective drugs,treatment focused on symptomatic and respiratory support.Immunoglobulin G was delivered to some critically ill patients according to their conditions.Systemic corticosteroid treatment did not show significant benefits.Notably,early respiratory support facilitated disease recovery and improved prognosis.The risk of death was primarily associated with age,underlying chronic diseases,and median interval from the appearance of initial symptoms to dyspnea.Conclusions:The majority of patients with 2019-nCoV pneumonia present with fever as the first symptom,and most of them still showed typical manifestations of viral pneumonia on chest imaging.Middle-aged and elderly patients with underlying comorbidities are susceptible to respiratory failure and may have a poorer prognosis.
