When a given ship state at the speed of 18 kn and the course of 45° under Rank 5 state of sea, and the hydrodynamic parameters of the ship fluctuate at random on the proportional distributing with a range of ± 10% , ± 20% , ± 30% , the robustness of muhivariate LQG designing for ship is analyzed with applying the probability modeling of relative controlling effect, The result of simulating shows that when the hydrodynamic parameters of ship fluctuates the relative controlling effect of the LQG designing submit to normal distribution and the mean value of relative controlling effect has no remarkable changes comparing to that without perturbation of hydrodynamic parameter,展开更多

To understand the physical properties of the soils in this agricultural area, we will use an undisturbed soil monolith 60 cm high and 23 cm in diameter in the laboratory. This study quantified the swelling and shrinkage of these soils during a 10-month experiment. The determination of the hydrodynamic parameters of this monolith made it possible to simulate water transfers in a soil of constant volume and a water transfer in a soil of variable volume. The results of this simulation show significant differences between these two cases, hence the need to integrate the variations in soil volume into the simulation processes of water transfers.展开更多

One of them was developed in Mexican National Institute of Nuclear Research (ININ abbreviation in Spanish of Instituto Nacional de lnvestigaciones Nucleates), and the other two, Sulzer BX and Mellapak 250Y, by Sulzer Brothers Ltd. Aqueous solution of 30 weight % Monoethanolamine was employed as absorption solvent. The performance of the structured packing was evaluated in terms of the pressure drop, holds up, volumetric overall mass transfer coefficient and height of a global transfer unit of gas and liquid side as a function of the process operating parameters including gas and liquid load, by using hydrodynamic and mass transfer models. The pressure drop of ININ packing was higher than Sulzer BX and Mellapak 250Y, and volumetric overall mass transfer coefficient values are similar of Sulzer BX values and higher than Mellapak 250Y, although Sulzer BX and ININI 8 packing had less height of a global transfer unit of gas side values than Mellapak 250Y packing. The above-mentioned are consequences of the geometric characteristics and operational behavior for each packing.展开更多

The volumetric mass transfer coefficient KLα and the oxygenation capacity were evaluated to improve the performances of the electroflotation process in terms of oxygenation. In order to evaluate the liquid-side mass transfer coefficient KLα the volumetric mass transfer coefficient KLα was dissociated into KL and the specific interracial area (a) since the last one was obtained from the gas hold-up and the bubble diameter. The effect of Reynolds number which define the hydrodynamic of the bubble flow has been also studied. Models of KLa and KL have been established to show the effects of the hydrodynamic parameters and liquid phase characteristics on the oxygen transfer rate.展开更多
