Based on the characteristics of ATM system and the special requirement of financial transaction, an overall design of hardware and software structure of ATM was made. For software structure, the pattern of modules and table? drive is adopted to realize the security of financial transaction and the diagnosis of communication fault. A new method, which is based on the application layer, transport layer and network layer, is used for diagnosing communication fault. Supporting both magnetic card and IC card, the system has been put into use in real financial systems, and has brought about both economic and social effects. 展开更多

Efficient Fingerprint Matching Algorithm for Integrated Circuit Cards

Each of them is application situation specific and has its advantages and dis... Fingerprint matching is a crucial step in fingerprint identification. Recently, a variety of algorithms for this issue have been developed. Each of them is application situation specific and has its advantages and disadvantages. It is highly desired to develop an efficient fingerprint verification technology for Integrated Circuit (IC) Cards or chips. IC cards have some special characteristics, such as very small storage space and slow processing speed, which hinder the use of most fingerprint matching algorithms in such situations. In order to solve this problem, the paper presents an improved minutia-pattern (minutiae-based) matching algorithm by employing the orientation field of the fingerprint as a new feature. Our algorithm not only inherits the advantages of the general minutia-pattern matching algorithms, but also overcomes their. disadvantages. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can greatly improve the performance of fingerprint matching in both accuracy and efficiency, and it is very suitable for applications in IC cards. 展开更多

In the system, the control computer communicates with the bank's host computer by the X. 25 network; the built-in embeded secure access module (ESAM) can verify data by commutation with the intelligent nodes that enhance the security of the data. This research aims to propose an efficient and economic operation mode for bus scheduling optimization by combining with the skip-stop buses and all-stop buses.The skip-stop tactics in bus operation provide service of high efficiency,good punctuality and high speed for long distance commuters,which attracts wide scholarly attention.This paper establishes a model to quantitatively evaluate the relevance between stops,and then develops a new optimization method of skip-stop tactics using the data sets of IC card and bus GPS trajectory.A collaborating scheduling optimization model considering the support and confidence among the stops is proposed to precisely suit passengers’demands and improve bus service.The optimization objective is to reduce the passengers’total travel time,the number of vehicles in use,and operation energy for both the user’s and the operator’s benefits.This methodology is developed for a single-directional route using a multi-decision choice model with genetic algorithm applied to attain efficient solutions.A case study of Qingdao,which is assessed in this new model,shows a reduction of 18.31%in total passenger travel time and 17.65%in the operational inputs as compared with solutions that do not consider the skip-stop tactics. 展开更多

This paper proposes a redundant network communication structure for the patient integrated circuit(IC)card payment system in a hospital information system(HIS),compares it with the network structure of normal hospital IC card system,and calculates the reliabilities of the related communications like the RS485communication and the Ethernet communication.The new structure can efectively promote the reliability of the hospital operation and ensure the payment collection when the Ethernet network is broken.The system is applied to a local hospital and the cost-performance rate is satisfactory during the application. 展开更多
