Cooperative relaying has played an important role in rapid evolution of wireless communications.The cooperative performance strongly depends on the selected relays.In this paper,we concentrate on relay selection in am...Cooperative relaying has played an important role in rapid evolution of wireless communications.The cooperative performance strongly depends on the selected relays.In this paper,we concentrate on relay selection in amplify-and-forward(AF)cooperative communication system,and an optimal multi-relay selection scheme is put forward to minimize the average symbol error rate(SER)of the system.Firstly,for the minimum average SER,on the basis of the statistic channel information,we define a parameter named equivalent channel gain which describes the channel status of two phases in the cooperative process.Then,under the constraint of equal power allocation,an optimal relay selection scheme is proposed in ascending order of equivalent channel gain(ECG).The scheme implies that the suitable number of relay nodes should be selected under the different signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)ranges to minimize the average SER.Computer simulation results show that the average SER rate of the proposed scheme is lower than these of the other schemes.展开更多

TiO2/SiO2/Fe3O4 nanoparticles have bigger specific area which can greatly increase the efficiency of photo-catalysis.The TiO2/SiO2/Fe3O4 particles in nano scale were prepared with reduction method at high temperature ...TiO2/SiO2/Fe3O4 nanoparticles have bigger specific area which can greatly increase the efficiency of photo-catalysis.The TiO2/SiO2/Fe3O4 particles in nano scale were prepared with reduction method at high temperature in this paper,and their morphology,particle size and magnetic property were characterized by transmission electron microscope(TEM),Xray diffraction(XRD) and magnetometer.The results show that the grain sizes of Fe3O4,SiO2-Fe3O4 and TiO2-SiO2-Fe3O4 particles were 50nm,70nm and 120nm,respectively.With the modification of SiO2,Fe3O4 magnetic cores are protected from oxidation.Moreover,by the addition of TiO2 function layer,TiO2-SiO2-Fe3O4 functional nanoparticles,with the saturation magnetization density of 34.1emu/g,is magnetically recoverable.The processes of this method are so simple that the nanoparticles can be produced in large quantity.展开更多
Self-organizing map(SOM) proposed by Kohonen has obtained certain achievements in solving the traveling salesman problem(TSP).To improve Kohonen SOM,an effective initialization and parameter modification method is dis...Self-organizing map(SOM) proposed by Kohonen has obtained certain achievements in solving the traveling salesman problem(TSP).To improve Kohonen SOM,an effective initialization and parameter modification method is discussed to obtain a faster convergence rate and better solution.Therefore,a new improved self-organizing map(ISOM)algorithm is introduced and applied to four traveling salesman problem instances for experimental simulation,and then the result of ISOM is compared with those of four SOM algorithms:AVL,KL,KG and MSTSP.Using ISOM,the average error of four travelingsalesman problem instances is only 2.895 0%,which is greatly better than the other four algorithms:8.51%(AVL),6.147 5%(KL),6.555%(KG) and 3.420 9%(MSTSP).Finally,ISOM is applied to two practical problems:the Chinese 100 cities-TSP and102 counties-TSP in Shanxi Province,and the two optimal touring routes are provided to the tourists.展开更多

Most smartphones employ Li-ion(or Li-polymer)batteries as their power sources.Though battery consumption significantly varies along with the cell temperature,which is severely affected by ambient temperature,many stud...Most smartphones employ Li-ion(or Li-polymer)batteries as their power sources.Though battery consumption significantly varies along with the cell temperature,which is severely affected by ambient temperature,many studies simply assume that the cell temperature is equal to room temperature.Furthermore,there has not been any study that has quantitatively analysed the impact of ambient temperature on battery consumption.In this paper,it can be shown that low ambient temperature significantly affects battery consumption of a smartphone.To show the impact of the cell temperature on battery consumption,the battery consumption at low ambient temperature(-20℃)is compared with that at room temperature.As a result,high power consumption results in more severe battery consumption at low ambient temperature.Real measurements show that the battery consumption increases by up to 113.1%at low ambient temperature in comparison with the same discharge condition at room temperature.展开更多
The hippocampus which lies in the temporal lobe plays an important role in spatial navigation,learning and memory.Several studies have been made on the place cell activity,spatial memory,prediction of future locations...The hippocampus which lies in the temporal lobe plays an important role in spatial navigation,learning and memory.Several studies have been made on the place cell activity,spatial memory,prediction of future locations and various learning paradigms.However,there are no attempts which have focused on finding whether neurons which contribute largely to both spatial memory and learning about the reward exist.This paper proposes that there are neurons that can simultaneously engage in forming place memory and reward learning in a rat hippocampus' s CA1 area.With a trained rat,a reward experiment was conducted in a modified 8-shaped maze with five stages,and utterance information was obtained from a CA1 neuron.The firing rate which is the count of spikes per unit time was calculated.The decoding was conducted with log-maximum likelihood estimation(Log-MLE) using Gaussian distribution model.Our outcomes provide evidence of neurons which play a part in spatial memory and learning regarding reward.展开更多

The hippocampus is thought to contribute largely to memory processing and spatial navigation.Various research projects have shown evidence regarding these two crucial roles.However,many unknown functions of hippocampu...The hippocampus is thought to contribute largely to memory processing and spatial navigation.Various research projects have shown evidence regarding these two crucial roles.However,many unknown functions of hippocampus remain.A great deal of research on the hippocampus is ongoing,but much of this research deals with single neuron,and little research has been conducted on what happens between neurons in hippocampus as they play these roles.In this paper,we intend to examine what changes hippocampal neurons undergo in response to a stimulus.Using an imbalanced,index of timedependent Gini's coefficient,the firing balance between neurons during the moment in which a stimulus is received is examined.More importantly,the different firing balances are observed in reward situation.The result demonstrates the multineuron in hippocampus fires with balance for a while when the rat has reward.In addition,time-dependent Gini's coefficient is a feature that can verify what is not shown by using existing features.展开更多

文摘The hippocampus which lies in the temporal lobe plays an important role in spatial navigation,learning and memory.Several studies have been made on the place cell activity,spatial memory,prediction of future locations and various learning paradigms.However,there are no attempts which have focused on finding whether neurons which contribute largely to both spatial memory and learning about the reward exist.This paper proposes that there are neurons that can simultaneously engage in forming place memory and reward learning in a rat hippocampus' s CA1 area.With a trained rat,a reward experiment was conducted in a modified 8-shaped maze with five stages,and utterance information was obtained from a CA1 neuron.The firing rate which is the count of spikes per unit time was calculated.The decoding was conducted with log-maximum likelihood estimation(Log-MLE) using Gaussian distribution model.Our outcomes provide evidence of neurons which play a part in spatial memory and learning regarding reward.

文摘A haptic device is proposed which gives the user feedback information on their location and orientation of the obstacle through the mobile robot that detects the obstacle in an environment where the user cannot see.Mobile robot recognizes the exact position of the obstacle through configuring the nested ultrasonic sensor and giving feedback information to the haptic device.The haptic device consisting of five vibration motors can realize the haptic through the vibration of user's finger using the position information of the obstacle received feedback.In addition,it has high accuracy to recognize the surrounding environment and realizes the various situations with the fuzzy controller and the nested ultrasonic sensors.

文摘In the distributed environment,robots should be able to provide users with adaptive services automatically according to the situational information changing dynamically which is obtained from both users and their environments.The workflow depends on situational information obtained from physical environments and provides context-aware services automatically based on the information retrieved.And the workflow in the business processes and the distributed computing environments have supported the automation of services by connecting tasks.The workflow needs to specify ubiquitous situational information as state-transition constraints.However,the delivery and use of sensor data in the workflow is a difficult problem for the robot system.In order to bridge the gap between applications and low-level constructs and to acquire raw situational information for the execution of the context-aware workflow in the robot systems,this paper presents an approach which can achieve the sensor data transmission between a sensing server and a robot system easily.
文摘In dynamic test,sampling rate is high and noise is strong,so a signal sparse decomposition method based on Gabor dictionary is put forward.This method iteratively decomposes the signal with the matching pursuit(MP)algorithm and takes the coherence ratio of the threshold as a condition of iteration termination.Standard MP algorithm is time-consuming,thus an adaptive genetic algorithm is introduced to MP method,which makes computation speed accelerate effectively.Experimental results indicate that this method not only can effectively remove high-frequency noise but also can compress the signal greatly.

文摘Today's multimedia services are far beyond just the voice and data services:they have been diversified tremendously after fueled by the advancement of network infrastructures as well as the sudden surge of multimedia data itself.Currently,researches on metadata insertion,management and transfer keep going very well in order to provide a variety of services to users.In this paper,we propose the design and implementation methods of digital contents metadata system for insertion,storage and retrieval of metadata.The performance evaluation shows that the proposed method performs better than the existing method.

文摘The hippocampus is thought to contribute largely to memory processing and spatial navigation.Various research projects have shown evidence regarding these two crucial roles.However,many unknown functions of hippocampus remain.A great deal of research on the hippocampus is ongoing,but much of this research deals with single neuron,and little research has been conducted on what happens between neurons in hippocampus as they play these roles.In this paper,we intend to examine what changes hippocampal neurons undergo in response to a stimulus.Using an imbalanced,index of timedependent Gini's coefficient,the firing balance between neurons during the moment in which a stimulus is received is examined.More importantly,the different firing balances are observed in reward situation.The result demonstrates the multineuron in hippocampus fires with balance for a while when the rat has reward.In addition,time-dependent Gini's coefficient is a feature that can verify what is not shown by using existing features.
