Taking the performances of efficiency, fairness and complexity into consideration, the proposed algorithm enhances the efficiency of air interface resource at the expense of the short-time unfairness, but ensures the long-time fairness. Moreover, the proposed algorithm introduces an efficient QoS assurance mechanism, which implements the functions of congestion control, queuing management and traffic management. The simulation results based on a simplified traffic model show that the proposed algorithm guarantees better performances of efficiency and fairness than conventional algorithms, without increasing the algorithm complexity. Especially on the occasion of heavy-traffic requirement, the performance of efficiency and fairness can be improved by 50% at most.展开更多

Based on the research of Proportional Fairness (PF) algorithm and Modified Largest Weighted Delay First (M-LWDF) algorithm, a new packet scheduling algorithm for real-time services in broadband WMAN, called Enhanced M-LWDF (EM-LWDF), was proposed. The algorithm phases in new information to measure the load of service queues and updates the state parameters in real-time way, which remarkably improves system performance.Simulation results show that comparing with M-LWDF algorithm, the proposed algorithm is advantageous in performances of queuing delay and fairness while guaranteeing system throughput.展开更多

In this paper, we propose a novel cross-layer scheduling algorithm for OFDMA-based WiMAX networks. Our scheme employs a priority function at the MAC layer and a slot allocation policy at physical layer and by interaction between these two layers specifies the best allocation for each connection. Simulation results show performance of proposed scheme in comparison with two other well-known scheduling algorithms, MAX-SNR scheduling and Proportional Fairness (PF) scheduling. Our proposed cross-layer algorithm outperforms the other algorithms in delay and packet loss rate values for real-time services.展开更多
