Furthermore, the VLC-PLC integration technology is applied to typical power grid business scene, which is substation intelligent inspection. The business process of master station platform is analyzed. During the intelligent inspection, the VLC-PLC system provides voice communication for on-site inspection personnel and management personnel, and position service. Communication in medical environment is often intense and time critical, including laboratory result, complex consultation and advice, which require high degree coordination among care professionals. Nevertheless, there are some de-ficiencies existed in the actual state of the com-munication system in hospitals, such as waiting time for call back and inducing interruptions. Current technological solutions should allow developing a novel intelligent communication system. In this paper, the proposed HPC2S (Hospital Patient Care Call System) services based on VoWLAN (VoIP over WLAN) will achieve the needs of timely and efficient com-munication among care professionals.展开更多

To promote it for both commercial and research purposes, a prototype VoIP system based on state-of-the-art Motorola communication techniques has been developed. It is a gateway system integrating a PBX and a VoIP module. All components that H.323 defines to support VoIP are implemented in the VoIP module, though in a simplified manner. As an embedded system, the system features real timeness and task distributiveness. A number of additional techniques are used to improve the performance, including noise suppression, zero copy, and buffer structure optimization.
