It includes three parts:thereal-time data acquisition system, assessment computer. and the assessment operating code system. InSRDAAR-QNPP, the wind field of the surface and the lower levels are determined hourly by using amass consistent three-dimension diasnosis model with the topographic following coordinate system.A Lagrangin Puff model under changing meteorological condition is adopted for atmosphericdispersion, the correction for dry and wet depositions. physical decay and partial plume penetrationof the top inversion and the deviation of plume axis caused by complex terrain have been taken in-to account. The calculation domain areas include three square grid areas with the sideline 10 km, 40krn and 160 km and a grid interval 0.5 km, 2.0 km, 8.0 km respectively. Three exposure pathwaysare taken into account:the external exposure from immersion cloud and passing puff, the internalexposure from inhalation and the external exposure from contaminated ground. For this reason, ship machinery should b...The most dangerous places in ships are their power plants. Particularly, they are very unsafe for operators carrying out various necessary operation and maintenance activities. For this reason, ship machinery should be designed to ensure the maximum safety for its operators. It is a very difficult task. Therefore, it could not be solved by means of conventional design methods, which are used for design of uncomplicated technical equipment. One of the possible ways of solving this problem is to provide appropriate tools, which allow us to take the operator's safety into account during a design process, especially at its early stages. A computer-aided system supporting design of safe ship power plants could be such a tool. This paper deals with developing process of a prototype of the computer-aided system for hazard zone identification in ship power plants.展开更多

Nuclear power plants(NPP)contain plenty of valve piping systems(VPS’s)which are categorized into high anti-seismic grades.Tasks such as seismic qualification,health monitoring and damage diagnosis of VPS’s in its de...Nuclear power plants(NPP)contain plenty of valve piping systems(VPS’s)which are categorized into high anti-seismic grades.Tasks such as seismic qualification,health monitoring and damage diagnosis of VPS’s in its design and operation processes all depend on finite element method.However,in engineering practice,there is always deviations between the theoretical and the measured responses due to the inaccurate value of the structural parameters in the model.The structure parameters identification of VPS within NPP is still an unexplored domain to a large extent.In this paper,the initial 2D-finite element model(FEM)for VPS with a DN80 gate valve was updated by utilizing seismic response.The objective function used in the model updating procedure is the vibration control equation error of the VPS.The experimental results show that the updated 2D-FEM can accurately predict the original dynamic characteristic of the VPS.It was also found the Rayleigh damping coefficients corresponding to the VPS vary slightly with the change in seismic excitation amplitude.The research displayed the complete procedure of updating the complex structured initial FEM by utilizing seismic response,and the results show that the parameters can be accurately identified even if the seismic response used for updating merely contained the fundamental frequency information of the structure.展开更多
This paper presents the development and performance capability of a comprehensive Low voltage ride through (LVRT) control scheme that makes use of both the DC chopper and the current limiting based on the required rea...This paper presents the development and performance capability of a comprehensive Low voltage ride through (LVRT) control scheme that makes use of both the DC chopper and the current limiting based on the required reactive power during fault time. The study is conducted on an 8.5 MW single stage PV power plant (PVPP) connected to the Rwandan grid. In the event of fault disturbance, this control scheme helps to overcome the problems of excessive DC-link voltage by fast activation of the DC chopper operation. At the same instance, AC current is limited to the maximum rating of the inverter as a function of the injected reactive current. This helps overcome AC-over- current that may possibly lead to damage or disconnection of the inverter. The control scheme also ensures voltage support and power balance through the injection of reactive current as per grid code requirements. Selected simulations using MATLAB are carried out in the events of different kinds of fault caused voltage dips. Results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed LVRT control scheme.展开更多
