In orde...The rail surface status image is affected by the noise in the shooting environment and contains a large amount of interference information, which increases the difficulty of rail surface status identification. In order to solve this problem, a preprocessing method for the rail surface state image is proposed. The preprocessing process mainly includes image graying, image denoising, image geometric correction, image extraction, data amplification, and finally building the rail surface image database. The experimental results show that this method can efficiently complete image processing, facilitate feature extraction of rail surface status images, and improve rail surface status recognition accuracy.展开更多

In this paper, we present a hyperspectral database(Hyper DB) designed to cooperate with an embedded hyperspectral image processing system developed by the authors. Hyperspectral data are recognized and categorized by their land coverage class and band information, and can be imported from various sources such as airborne and spaceborne sensors carried by airplanes or satellites, as well as handhold instruments based on in situ ground observations. Spectral library files can be easily stored, indexed, viewed, and exported. Since Hyper DB follows standard design principles—independence, data safety, and compatibility—it satisfies the practical demand for managing categorized hyperspectral data, and can be readily expanded to other peripheral applications.展开更多

It is found that such image processing operation helps in operations needs quick investigation transactions of some issues like policemen works and operations. The method depends on the given database about the face of the person, the face recognition depends on drawing a face of the given data and then comparing the resulted face with the stored data and find the most closes one and choose it to be its goal. This operation needs a time, it is not real-time operation but the time needed is too short. This method develop a method to make the operation of searching about some unknown person or face faster which helps more all sectors interested in searching about some unknowns in their transactions.展开更多

The i...As the computer system has developed much in this highly information-oriented society, database security has become a very important problem and its backup strategies need to be made more efficiently and safety. The image copy method has been used as the most simple and dependable recovery mechanism for media failure. However, this method spends high overhead costs for massive data transmission and much processing time in the normal operation of the database. To cover such weak points, incremental and full backup methods are adopted before updated trucks reach a predetermined level. Moreover, when the number of full backup files exceeded a predetermined level, we stop incremental and full backups and switch it to the image copy. This paper applies cumulative damage model to backup of files in a database system, by putting damage shock by update, failure shock by database failure and damage by dumped files, and considers the tradeoff among overhead costs of image copy and incremental, full backup methods, and discusses analytically an optimal policy for the image copy backup interval. Finally, numerical examples are given in the case of Poisson process and exponential distributions.展开更多
