Local binary pattern(LBP)is one of the most advanced image classification recognition operators and is commonly used in texture detection area.Research indicates that LBP also has a good application prospect in steganalysis. However, the existing LBP-based steganalysis algorithms are only capable to detect the least significant bit(LSB)and the least significant bit matching(LSBM)algorithms. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a steganalysis model called msdeLTP,which is based on multi-scale local ternary patterns(LTP)and derivative filters. The main characteristics of the msdeLTP are as follows:First,to reduce the interference of image content on features, the msdeLTP uses derivative filters to acquire residual images on which subsequent operations are based.Second, instead of LBP features,LTP features are extracted considering that the LTP feature can exhibit multiple variations in the relationship of adjacent pixels.Third,LTP features with multiple scales and modes are combined to show the relationship of neighbor pixels within different radius and along different directions.Analysis and simulation show that the msdeLTP uses only 2592-dimensional features and has similar detection accuracy as the spatial rich model(SRM)at the same time, showing the high steganalysis efficiency of the method. 展开更多

This study investigated dissolution processes of cavitation bubbles generated during in vivo shock wave(SW)-induced treatments. Both active cavitation detection(ACD) and the B-mode imaging technique were applied to measure the dissolution procedure of bi Spheres contrast agent bubbles by in vitro experiments. Besides, the simulation of SW-induced cavitation bubbles dissolution behaviors detected by the B-mode imaging system during in vivo SW treatments, including extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy(ESWL) and extracorporeal shock wave therapy(ESWT), were carried out based on calculating the integrated scattering cross-section of dissolving gas bubbles with employing gas bubble dissolution equations and Gaussian bubble size distribution. The results showed that(i) B-mode imaging technology is an effective tool to monitor the temporal evolution of cavitation bubbles dissolution procedures after the SW pulses ceased, which is important for evaluation and controlling the cavitation activity generated during subsequent SW treatments within a treatment period;(ii) the characteristics of the bubbles, such as the bubble size distribution and gas diffusion, can be estimated by simulating the experimental data properly. 展开更多

This paper presents an incremental cutting method for evaluating the longitudinal residual stresses in a butt welded thin plate via combining the traditional residual stress measurement methods and the advanced optical technique. The proposed approach, which can be called digital image correlation(DIC)-aided slitting technique, introduces a successive extension slot to a specimen and employs the DIC technique to measure the released displacement profiles of the cutting sections after each cutting increment. Then the displacement profiles are used to directly calculate the residual stress distributions up to the slot tip and hence,a stress distribution can be obtained after a cutting increment. Finally, all of the stress distributions are averaged to ultimately determine the original residual stress field. This method does not include any complex experimental operations or tedious derivation, and the resolution of stress variation is greatly improved by the continuous measurement of the released displacements. The presented method has been preliminarily verified by a specimen with residual stress introduced by a four-point bending test. The results show that residual stresses determined by the DIC-aided slitting technique agree well with those from finite element(FE) prediction. The residual stress in a friction stir welded aluminum specimen obtained by the presented technique is also consistent with the evaluations given by X-ray diffraction.Furthermore, the residual stresses obtained by the DIC-aided slitting technique demonstrate higher accuracy and stability than the evaluations derived by the DIC-aided contour method. 展开更多

With the objective of reducing the large uncertainties in the estimations of emissions from crop residue open burning, an improved method for establishing emission inventories of crop residue open burning at a high spatial resolution of 0.25°× 0.25° and a temporal resolution of1 month was established based on the moderate resolution imaging spectroradiometer(MODIS) Thermal Anomalies/Fire Daily Level3 Global Product(MOD/MYD14A1). Agriculture mechanization ratios and regional crop-specific grain-to-straw ratios were introduced to improve the accuracy of related activity data. Locally observed emission factors were used to calculate the primary pollutant emissions. MODIS satellite data were modified by combining them with county-level agricultural statistical data, which reduced the influence of missing fire counts caused by their small size and cloud cover. The annual emissions of CO2, CO, CH4,nonmethane volatile organic compounds(NMVOCs), N2O, NOx, NH3, SO2, fine particles(PM2.5),organic carbon(OC), and black carbon(BC) were 150.40, 6.70, 0.51, 0.88, 0.01, 0.13, 0.07, 0.43,1.09, 0.34, and 0.06 Tg, respectively, in 2012. Crop residue open burning emissions displayed typical seasonal and spatial variation. The highest emission regions were the Yellow-Huai River and Yangtse-Huai River areas, and the monthly emissions were highest in June(37%).Uncertainties in the emission estimates, measured as 95% confidence intervals, range from a low of within ±126% for N2O to a high of within ± 169% for NH3. 展开更多
