In thisstudy, to evaluate its ability of protecting chickens against challenge with a lethaldose of highly pathogenic isolates of avian influenza virus, eight-week-old specific-pathogenic-free (SPF) chickens were vaccinated with recombinant virus or the wildtypefowlpox virus by wing-web puncture. After challenge 4 weeks with 10 LD50 highly pathogenicavian influenza virus H5N1 and H7N1 isolate, all chickens vaccinated with recombinantvirus were protected, while the chickens vaccinated with the wildtype fowlpox virus orunvaccinated controls experienced 100% mortality respectively following challenge. Thiscomplete protection was accompanied by the high levels of specific antibody response tothe respective components of the recombinant virus.展开更多

All the piglets were intramuscularly injected with 2 ml porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS) propolis inactivated vaccine at 25 days old. The piglets in the Group 2 were fed with feed containing Lanerkang-A ( 10 ml/kg) at 42 days old. After 7-d feeding, the antibody titer against PRRSV and the cytoimmunity were detected using ELISA and E-rosette, respectively. [ Result] Lanerkang-A increased antibody titer against PRRSV by 4 titers and increased E-rosette forming rate by 7%. The average daily weight gain increased by 15.68%. [ Conclusion] Lanerkang-A can greatly enhance the immunological function of body, increase the daily gain of piglets, as well as improve their growth performance.展开更多

[Method] A total of 180 Sanhuang chickens were selected from a breeding chicken farm in Guilin City of Guangxi and assigned into four groups ( n = 45). At 145 days old, the chickens in the group I and II were respectively inoculated with AIV Re-5 strain and AIV SS strain, but they were kept in cages separately. The two control groups were not inoculated. Antibody levels were determined at 170 days old. [ Result] The level of antibodies against AIV Re-5 strain was significantly higher in the chickens of the group I and group II than in the corresponding control groups, respectively ( P 〈 0.01 ). The level of antibodies against AIV SS strain was not significantly different between the group I and its control group or between the group II and its control group. [ Conclusion] The antibody level of chickens can be increased by the AIV Re-5 strain but not by the AIV SS strain.展开更多

METHODS: Cells culture, flow cytometric analysis, affinity chromatography for protein purification, SDS-PAGE, Western-blotting and animal experiment were used. RESULTS: HSP70-PC immunization rendered protective effect to both naive tumorl-bearing mice. All of the naive mice obtained complete resistance to Hcaf cell attack; 40% of the tumor-bearing mice survived for over 90 days, whereas the mice of control group died within 2 weeks (P展开更多
