The main focus of the study is to analyze the tower shadow effect on the aerodynamic performance of the wind turbine under different inlet flow conditions. Subsequently, the finite element model is established by considering fluid/structure interactions to study the structural stress, displacement, strain distributions and flow field information of the structure under the uniform wind speed. Finally, the fluid-structure interaction model is established by considering turbulent wind and the tower shadow effect. The variation rules of the dynamic response of the one-way and two-way fluid-structure interaction(FSI) models under different wind speeds are analyzed, and the numerical calculation results are compared with those of the centralized mass model. The results show that the tower shadow effect and structural deformation are the main factors affecting the aerodynamic load fluctuation of the wind turbine, which in turn affects the aerodynamic performance and structural stability of the blades. The structural dynamic response of the coupled model shows significant similarity, while the structural displacement response of the former exhibits less fluctuation compared with the conventional centralized mass model. The one-way fluid-structure interaction(FSI)model shows a higher frequency of stress-strain and displacement oscillations on the blade compared with the two-way FSI model.展开更多

The most distinct feature of a sectorial well-factory is the deviation of the well from the minimum horizontal principal stress, resulting in hydraulic fracture deflection after the initiation, along with possible well interference (i.e., fracture hit) and fracture coalescence in the oblique wells. Four indexes describing well deflection are then proposed according to fracture morphology. Several fracturing designs, including stage arrangement, fracturing sequences, and fracturing techniques are applied to study the feasibility of the sectorial well-factory design. The results show that the “gradual” or “sparse” stage arrangement, large injection rate, and simultaneous multifracture treatment can help to optimize the fracture morphology and stimulation design. However, the subsequent stress shadowing effect usually adversely affects the fracturing of adjacent wells. With a small initial horizontal stress difference, large injection rate and staggered stage arrangement can achieve ideal stimulation performance. Our results can provide a guidance for optimizing stimulation design in unconventional well-factory while taking into account environmental protection.展开更多

Under such a realistic shadowing model, all previous known works on the distribution of the number of isolated nodes were obtained only based on simulation studies or by ignoring the important boundary effect to avoid the challenging technical analysis, and thus cannot be applied to any practical wireless networks. It is extremely challenging to take the complicated boundary effect into consideration under such a realistic model because the transmission area of each node is an irregular region other than a circular area. Assume that the wireless nodes are represented by a Poisson point process with densitynover a unit-area disk, and that the transmission power is properly chosen so that the expected node degree of the network equals lnn + ξ (n), where ξ (n) approaches to a constant ξ as n →?∞. Under such a shadowing model with the boundary effect taken into consideration, we proved that the total number of isolated nodes is asymptotically Poisson with mean e$ {-ξ}. The Brun’s sieve is utilized to derive the precise asymptotic distribution. Our results can be used as design guidelines for any practical multihop wireless network where both the shadowing and boundary effects must be taken into consideration.展开更多

文摘In general, topographic shadow may reduce performance of forest mapping over mountainous regions in remotely sensed images. In this paper, information in shadow was synthesized by using two filling techniques, namely, roifill and imfill,in order to improve the accuracy of forest mapping over mountainous regions. These two methods were applied to Landsat Enhanced Thematic Mapper (ETM +) multispectral image from Dong Yang County,Zhejiang Province,China. The performance of these methods was compared with two conventional techniques, including cosine correction and multisource classification. The results showed that by applying filling approaches, average overall accuracy of classification was improved by 14 percent. However, through conventional methods this value increased only by 9 percent. The results also revealed that estimated forest area on the basis of shadow-corrected images by 'roifill' technique was much closer to the survey data compared to traditional algorithms.Apart from this finding, our finding indicated that topographic shadow was an accentuated problem in medium resolution images such as Landsat ETM+ over mountainous regions.
文摘In this paper, we study the connectivity of multihop wireless networks under the log-normal shadowing model by investigating the precise distribution of the number of isolated nodes. Our results can be used as design guidelines for any practical multihop wireless network where both the shadowing and boundary effects must be taken into consideration.

文摘The Tongchang orefield is located in the central part of the Mianxian-Lueyang-Yangpingguan area that is celebrated as a 'gold triangle' area,at the juncture of the latitudinal tectonic zone of South Qinling, the Longmenshan Cathysian tectonic zone and the Sichuan-Yunnan longitudinal tectonic zone, where there are distributed Cu-Au polymetallic ore deposits(occurrences) including the Tongchang,Chenjiaba,Qinjiabian,Hongtushi,Yinshangou and Xiakouyi ore deposits(mineralization).Based on the "giant pressure shadow" structure put forward and demonstrated by numerical modeling of the tectonic stress field and the static photoelasticity experiments on the basis of tectonic ore-controlling laws in the orefield, tectonic metallogenesis driven by orefield tectonic stress has been discussed in terms of its geological setting, orefield geomechanics, and tectonic stress field. It is thought that the dynamic evolution model of the tectonic stress field controls the whole process of formation of the polymetallic ore deposits(mineralization) in the orefield,as well as the deformation field. As a result,it controls the emplacement of rockbodies and the transformation of ore-source bodies, and provides both the channel-ways for ore-forming fluids and ore-hosting space.Furthermore,it controls the migration potential field of fluids and, thereafter, its flow direction, rate and volume;the tectonic stress field also controls the energy field and hence controls the position of occurrence of ore deposits and their scale. The method of tectonic stress field has been applied to ore prognosis in the orefield. The rules of magmatic emplacement and metallogenic fluid migrating and concentrating under the control of the structural stress field were expounded, hence providing the theoretical basis for the prognosis of concealed ores.In addition,a number of important target areas have been defined.

文摘Chinese shadow puppetry has been recognized as a world intangible cultural heritage. However,it faces substantial challenges in its preservation and advancement due to the intricate and labor-intensive nature of crafting shadow puppets. To ensure the inheritance and development of this cultural heritage,it is imperative to enable traditional art to flourish in the digital era. This paper presents an Interactive Collaborative Creation System for shadow puppets, designed to facilitate the creation of high-quality shadow puppet images with greater ease. The system comprises four key functions:Image contour extraction, intelligent reference recommendation, generation network, and color adjustment, all aimed at assisting users in various aspects of the creative process, including drawing, inspiration, and content generation.Additionally,we propose an enhanced algorithm called Smooth Generative Adversarial Networks(SmoothGAN),which exhibits more stable gradient training and a greater capacity for generating high-resolution shadow puppet images.Furthermore,we have built a new dataset comprising high-quality shadow puppet images to train the shadow puppet generation model. Both qualitative and quantitative experimental results demonstrate that SmoothGAN significantly improves the quality of image generation, while our system efficiently assists users in creating high-quality shadow puppet images, with a SUS scale score of 84.4.This study provides a valuable theoretical and practical reference for the digital creation of shadow puppet art.

文摘With the rapid development of large megawatt wind turbines, the operation environment of wind turbine towers(WTTs)has become increasingly complex. In particular, seismic excitation can create a resonance response and cause excessive vibration of the WTT.To investigate the vibration attenuation performance of the WTT under seismic excitations,a novel passive vibration control device, called a prestressed tuned mass damper(PS-TMD),is presented in this study.First,a mathematical model is established based on structural dynamics under seismic excitation. Then, the mathematical analytical expression of the dynamic coefficient is deduced, and the parameter design method is obtained by system tuning optimization.Next, based on a theoretical analysis and parameter design, the numerical results showed that the PS-TMD was able to effectively mitigate the resonance under the harmonic basal acceleration. Finally, the time-history analysis method is used to verify the effectiveness of the traditional pendulum tuned mass damper(PTMD)and the novel PS-TMD device, and the results indicate that the vibration attenuation performance of the PS-TMD is better than the PTMD.In addition, the PS-TMD avoids the nonlinear effect due to the large oscillation angle, and has the potential to dissipate hysteretic energy under seismic excitation.
文摘When designing a solar power plant, it is much more important to avoid the shadow on the PV Panels. As the shadow falls on the PV Panels;it significantly reduces the generation of required power as planned and designed. This research paper and case study will help a lot to avoid shadow, especially when selecting inter-row spacing between the strings of solar power plants.

文摘The transmission line tower will be affected by bad weather and artificial subsidence caused by the foundation and other factors in the power transmission. The tower’s tilt and severe deformation will cause the building to collapse. Many small changes caused the tower’s collapse, but the early staff often could not intuitively notice the changes in the tower’s state. In the current tower online monitoring system, terminal equipment often needs to replace batteries frequently due to premature exhaustion of power.According to the need for real-time measurement of power line tower, this research designed a real-time monitoring device monitoring the transmission tower attitude tilting and foundation state based on the inertial sensor, the acceleration of 3 axis inertial sensor and angular velocity raw data to pole average filtering pre-processing,and then through the complementary filtering algorithm for comprehensive calculation of tilt angle, the system meets the demand for inclined online monitoring of power line poles and towers regarding measurement accuracy, with low cost and power consumption. The optimization multi-sensor cooperative detection and correction measured tilt angle result relative accuracy can reach 1.03%,which has specific promotion and application value since the system has the advantages of unattended and efficient calculation.
