The progressive extrusion model proposed by Tapponnier for the effect of IndiaEurasia collision is modified by taking threedimensional deformation and preexisting faults into account. Through model analysis, the possibility is discussed in this paper that the collision causes the inversion of TanchengLujiang faults and Red River fault from leftlateral slip to rightlateral slip, triggers the extension of the sedimentary basins producing oil and gas such as Bohaiwan basin and Yinggehai basin in Cenozoic era, and induces clockwise rotation of Southeast Asia. 展开更多
