BACKGROUND With continuous advancements in medical technology,neurosurgical nursing is constantly developing and improving to provide higher-quality nursing services.AIM To explore the effects of different types of hi...BACKGROUND With continuous advancements in medical technology,neurosurgical nursing is constantly developing and improving to provide higher-quality nursing services.AIM To explore the effects of different types of high-quality nursing care on clinical nursing quality and patient satisfaction in neurosurgical nursing.METHODS Eighty patients who received neurosurgical treatment in the Affiliated Hospital of Southwest Medical University from June to December 2020 were selected as study participants and categorised into study and control groups.The study group comprised 40 patients who received 4 different types of high-quality nursing care,whereas the control group comprised 40 patients who received conventional nursing care.After a specific period,nursing satisfaction levels and adverse event and complication rates were compared between the two groups.RESULTS Satisfaction with high-quality care was higher than that with conventional care,and high-quality health services and regional services showed the highest satisfaction levels,with an average score of 12 on the Glasgow scale.The satisfaction levels of the study and control groups were 75%and 57%,respectively,with a statistically significant difference(t=7.314,P<0.05).During the nursing period,the adverse event and complication rates were the highest in patients with level III pathology grade and those who underwent neurosurgery(40.02%and 85.93%,respectively),and the difference was statistically significant.CONCLUSION In neurosurgical nursing,employing appropriate high-quality nursing methods can effectively reduce adverse event and complication rates in patients,thereby improving the quality of nursing care and increasing clinical nursing value.展开更多
Objective:To enhance the overall nursing effectiveness in the rheumatology and immunology department,explore specific strategies to improve nursing quality using a high-quality care model,and develop a comprehensive n...Objective:To enhance the overall nursing effectiveness in the rheumatology and immunology department,explore specific strategies to improve nursing quality using a high-quality care model,and develop a comprehensive nursing system.Methods:A total of 120 hospitalized patients with rheumatoid arthritis from 2022 to January 2024 were selected.These patients were randomly divided into two groups:an observation group(60 patients)and a control group(60 patients).The control group received conventional nursing care,which included creating a good care environment,providing drug guidance,and offering psychological support.In the observation group,a high-quality nursing model was implemented with a focus on meeting the specific needs of the patients.The two groups were compared in terms of complication rates,treatment compliance,nurse-patient disputes,patient satisfaction with nursing care,sleep quality(PSQI score),and pain levels(VAS score).Results:The incidence of complications in the observation group was 3.33%,significantly lower than that of the control group,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Nursing compliance in the observation group was 100%,and patient satisfaction was 96.67%,both higher than in the control group,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Additionally,the VAS pain score in the observation group decreased to 2.12±1.89,and the PSQI sleep quality score decreased to 6.89±0.33,both lower than in the control group,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion:Focusing on the needs of patients through a high-quality nursing model provides targeted care that improves overall nursing effectiveness for patients with rheumatoid arthritis.This approach enhances patient satisfaction with nursing care,increases treatment compliance,reduces the incidence of complications and nurse-patient disputes,improves sleep quality,and alleviates pain.This model holds significant value for broader applications.展开更多

Objective:To study the application value of high-quality nursing intervention in patients with cirrhotic ascites.Methods:From February 2018 to February 2020,80 patients with cirrhotic ascites,treated in Yancheng No.1 ...Objective:To study the application value of high-quality nursing intervention in patients with cirrhotic ascites.Methods:From February 2018 to February 2020,80 patients with cirrhotic ascites,treated in Yancheng No.1 People’s Hospital,were selected as the subjects for this study.The patients were divided into two groups based on the type of nursing intervention:a routine group and an observation group,with 40 cases in each group.The routine group received routine nursing,and the observation group received high-quality nursing intervention on the basis of routine nursing.The nursing effects and adverse reactions of the two groups were observed and compared.Results:The total effective cases in the observation group were 39 cases,with a total effective rate of 97.5%;the total effective cases in the routine group were 33 cases,with a total effective rate of 82.5%.The total effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the routine group(P<0.05).In the routine group,there were eight cases of adverse reactions,in which the incidence of adverse reactions was 20.0%,whereas there were only two cases of adverse reactions in the observation group,in which the incidence of adverse reactions was 5.0%.The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the routine group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of high-quality nursing intervention in patients with cirrhotic ascites can improve the nursing effect and reduce the occurrence of adverse reactions;thus,it should be popularized in clinical settings.展开更多

Individualized nursing care addresses the needs,experiences,behaviors,feelings,and perceptions of patients and families,but its implementation in clinical practice contexts remains challenging.This review aims to map ...Individualized nursing care addresses the needs,experiences,behaviors,feelings,and perceptions of patients and families,but its implementation in clinical practice contexts remains challenging.This review aims to map the factors that interfere with the individualization of nursing care,in acute medical and perioperative settings.Scoping review was conducted according to the Joanna Briggs Institute guidelines.The MEDLINE,CINAHL,Cochrane,SciELO,Scientific Repository of Open Access,and LILACS databases were searched for publications from January 2017 up to March 2023.Of the 124 articles selected,17 met the inclusion criteria.The individualization of nursing care is complex and shaped by multiple variables in the care environment,nursing,and patient characteristics.The institutional organization,the nurses’expertise,and the patient’s attributes were identified as variables that interfere with the individualization of nursing care.Individualized nursing care is responsible for better quality of care and health outcomes.The identification of the variables that affect individualized care contributes to planning programs to improve individualization,during hospitalization and the discharge.展开更多
Objective The aim of this study is to estimate the incidence and describe the diagnosis,treatment and nursing care of Kawasaki Disease among children in Guilin city,Guangxi Province,China.The study is also designed to...Objective The aim of this study is to estimate the incidence and describe the diagnosis,treatment and nursing care of Kawasaki Disease among children in Guilin city,Guangxi Province,China.The study is also designed to assess clinical aspects of retrospection,management and outcome,specifically in relation to cardiac disease.Methods To retrospectively collected the clinical data of pediatric patients with Kawasaki's disease at the Affiliated Hospital of Guilin Medical University in China,which covered a two-year period from 2015 to 2016.Results During the two-year study period,a total of 25 cases of Kawasaki disease were reported in the hospitals,comprising of 11 boys and 14 girls(male-female ratio was 1∶1.27).The seasonal distribution showed a slightly higher incidence in spring and summer.The patients’mean age of onset was 2.78 years old.The average hospitalization days of patients were 8.08(range from 5 to18days).16 Kawasaki patients were diagnosed as bronchial pneumonia.Coronary arterial abnormalities were detected during follow up by UCG in 5 cases,but no coronary artery aneurysm was found.All 25 patients recovered and were discharged from the hospital.Conclusion Early treatment and proper nursing management are key issues to prevent the occurrence of coronary artery aneurysm in Kawasaki Disease patients.展开更多

Objective:In today’s world with sweeping changes,nurses are responsible for providing high-quality and cost-benefit care,which would almost be impossible unless they achieve their high professional status.To date,no ...Objective:In today’s world with sweeping changes,nurses are responsible for providing high-quality and cost-benefit care,which would almost be impossible unless they achieve their high professional status.To date,no precise and comprehensive definition of professionalism in nursing has been evidently proposed.In fact,many of the previously proposed definitions are either complicated or ambiguous.Moreover,there is no consensus in the literature on an exhaustive definition for“a professional nurse.”The present study aimed to illustrate the concept of professionalism in nursing and identify its defining characteristics.Methods:In this study,concept analysis was conducted using Whittemore et al.’s method for the integrated review.A comprehensive search of electronic,scientific databases including Eric,PubMed,Scopus,Web of Science,EBSCO,PsychoINFO,Embass,MagIran,IranDoc,SID,and IRANMEDEX was carried out using the keywords such as professionalism,professional behavior,nursing professionalism(NP),professional attribute,and nursing.Results:In the present study,a comprehensive search of 11 electronic databases retrieved 5738 articles.Then,2837 duplicate articles were removed by endnote(version 8).Based on a preliminary examination of the titles and abstracts as well as the inclusion and exclusion criteria,1517 articles were excluded.In addition,137 articles were removed for scientific reasons.Finally,52 articles in English and Persian were selected.Content analysis of the articles revealed four major themes,namely,individual prerequisite,professional prerequisite,appropriate structure,and socio-individual factors.Conclusions:Professionalism in nursing is a major,multidimensional concept according to the literature that included individual prerequisites,professional prerequisites,appropriate structures,and socio-individual factors.In fact,professionalism in nursing comprises a wide range of personal characteristics,self-regulation,professional values,striving to acquire and enhance professional expertise,professional interactions,social,professional,and legal responsibility,and creation of a sense of belonging,and professional development.展开更多

And it is strongly related to postoperative care satisfaction. In fact, it tailored nm,ning activities with unique peculiarity of each patient. Actually, it changes all standardized nursing procedures and activities. We aimed to look into the differences between those two types of nursing application in postanesthesia care unit (PACU), affect postoperative care satisfaction in the research. Methods: We conducted a prospective control study that included 325 patients ,randomly divided into two groups: Individualized nursing care group and ordinary nursing care group, undergoing general anesthesia. The 2 groups of patients were similar in respect to gender distribution, age, and type of surgery and had been admitted into the PACU after elective surgery. Data was collected by interviewing with patients using Satisfaction Questionnaire (North Health Service Hospital Consumer Assessment Works by and service systems (H C A H P S) in patients over Meaning of the questionnaire Chinese Translation Version ) , after assessing its content validity and reliability with Chronbach's alpha method. Using SPSS ver. 17 to analysis data .Results: General information on the two groups were no statistically significant differences (P〉 0. 05). Individualized nursing care group (98.2%) compared with the ordinary nursing care group satisfaction (92%) significantly increased (P 〈0. 01). Conclusions: Deployment of individualized nursing care in PACU can significantly improve postoperative satisfaction compared to ordinary nursing care.展开更多

文摘Individualized nursing care addresses the needs,experiences,behaviors,feelings,and perceptions of patients and families,but its implementation in clinical practice contexts remains challenging.This review aims to map the factors that interfere with the individualization of nursing care,in acute medical and perioperative settings.Scoping review was conducted according to the Joanna Briggs Institute guidelines.The MEDLINE,CINAHL,Cochrane,SciELO,Scientific Repository of Open Access,and LILACS databases were searched for publications from January 2017 up to March 2023.Of the 124 articles selected,17 met the inclusion criteria.The individualization of nursing care is complex and shaped by multiple variables in the care environment,nursing,and patient characteristics.The institutional organization,the nurses’expertise,and the patient’s attributes were identified as variables that interfere with the individualization of nursing care.Individualized nursing care is responsible for better quality of care and health outcomes.The identification of the variables that affect individualized care contributes to planning programs to improve individualization,during hospitalization and the discharge.

文摘Objective The aim of this study is to estimate the incidence and describe the diagnosis,treatment and nursing care of Kawasaki Disease among children in Guilin city,Guangxi Province,China.The study is also designed to assess clinical aspects of retrospection,management and outcome,specifically in relation to cardiac disease.Methods To retrospectively collected the clinical data of pediatric patients with Kawasaki's disease at the Affiliated Hospital of Guilin Medical University in China,which covered a two-year period from 2015 to 2016.Results During the two-year study period,a total of 25 cases of Kawasaki disease were reported in the hospitals,comprising of 11 boys and 14 girls(male-female ratio was 1∶1.27).The seasonal distribution showed a slightly higher incidence in spring and summer.The patients’mean age of onset was 2.78 years old.The average hospitalization days of patients were 8.08(range from 5 to18days).16 Kawasaki patients were diagnosed as bronchial pneumonia.Coronary arterial abnormalities were detected during follow up by UCG in 5 cases,but no coronary artery aneurysm was found.All 25 patients recovered and were discharged from the hospital.Conclusion Early treatment and proper nursing management are key issues to prevent the occurrence of coronary artery aneurysm in Kawasaki Disease patients.

文摘Objective:To evaluate the perioperative nursing of total knee arthroplasty for patients with valgus deformity of the knee.Methods:Seventy-six patients who underwent surgical treatment were enrolled in the study from March 2014 to March 2018.The patients in the control group were treated with routine nursing.The experimental group was treated not only with routine nursing but also with health education,psychological care,family social support,and other nursing intervention.Hospital for special surgery and Pittsburgh sleep quality index were used to evaluate the effect of nursing intervention on patients after operation.Results:All the index scores of the experimental group were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05),indicating that the function of the diseased limb and the patient's sleep status improved significantly after the intervention.Conclusions:Individualized nursing can improve the recovery of limb function and improve the patients'quality of life.It is very effective for nurses to implement individualized nursing measures for patients after surgery.
文摘Objective:In today’s world with sweeping changes,nurses are responsible for providing high-quality and cost-benefit care,which would almost be impossible unless they achieve their high professional status.To date,no precise and comprehensive definition of professionalism in nursing has been evidently proposed.In fact,many of the previously proposed definitions are either complicated or ambiguous.Moreover,there is no consensus in the literature on an exhaustive definition for“a professional nurse.”The present study aimed to illustrate the concept of professionalism in nursing and identify its defining characteristics.Methods:In this study,concept analysis was conducted using Whittemore et al.’s method for the integrated review.A comprehensive search of electronic,scientific databases including Eric,PubMed,Scopus,Web of Science,EBSCO,PsychoINFO,Embass,MagIran,IranDoc,SID,and IRANMEDEX was carried out using the keywords such as professionalism,professional behavior,nursing professionalism(NP),professional attribute,and nursing.Results:In the present study,a comprehensive search of 11 electronic databases retrieved 5738 articles.Then,2837 duplicate articles were removed by endnote(version 8).Based on a preliminary examination of the titles and abstracts as well as the inclusion and exclusion criteria,1517 articles were excluded.In addition,137 articles were removed for scientific reasons.Finally,52 articles in English and Persian were selected.Content analysis of the articles revealed four major themes,namely,individual prerequisite,professional prerequisite,appropriate structure,and socio-individual factors.Conclusions:Professionalism in nursing is a major,multidimensional concept according to the literature that included individual prerequisites,professional prerequisites,appropriate structures,and socio-individual factors.In fact,professionalism in nursing comprises a wide range of personal characteristics,self-regulation,professional values,striving to acquire and enhance professional expertise,professional interactions,social,professional,and legal responsibility,and creation of a sense of belonging,and professional development.
文摘The very key element in quality of nursing care is individualized nursing care. Individual differences among patients in terms of their health, illness, social classes and cultural background which lead to different needs emphasize on providing individualized care. And it is strongly related to postoperative care satisfaction. In fact, it tailored nm,ning activities with unique peculiarity of each patient. Actually, it changes all standardized nursing procedures and activities. We aimed to look into the differences between those two types of nursing application in postanesthesia care unit (PACU), affect postoperative care satisfaction in the research. Methods: We conducted a prospective control study that included 325 patients ,randomly divided into two groups: Individualized nursing care group and ordinary nursing care group, undergoing general anesthesia. The 2 groups of patients were similar in respect to gender distribution, age, and type of surgery and had been admitted into the PACU after elective surgery. Data was collected by interviewing with patients using Satisfaction Questionnaire (North Health Service Hospital Consumer Assessment Works by and service systems (H C A H P S) in patients over Meaning of the questionnaire Chinese Translation Version ) , after assessing its content validity and reliability with Chronbach's alpha method. Using SPSS ver. 17 to analysis data .Results: General information on the two groups were no statistically significant differences (P〉 0. 05). Individualized nursing care group (98.2%) compared with the ordinary nursing care group satisfaction (92%) significantly increased (P 〈0. 01). Conclusions: Deployment of individualized nursing care in PACU can significantly improve postoperative satisfaction compared to ordinary nursing care.
