In the linear induction motor control system,the optical grating speed transducer is susceptible to strong magnetic field interference.What's more,it may reduce motor integration and raise device costs.Therefore a...In the linear induction motor control system,the optical grating speed transducer is susceptible to strong magnetic field interference.What's more,it may reduce motor integration and raise device costs.Therefore a speed identification method to replace grating speed transducer is studied in this article.This speed identification method for linear induction motor mainly adopts Model Reference Adaptive Method(Abbreviated as MRAS)and Popov Hyperstability Theory.The research content of this paper can be divided into four parts.First,the mathematical model of the motor based on the model reference adaptive system structure is deduced.Second,the adaptive law of the estimated speed is solved by Popov hyper-stability theory,which ensures the stability of the system.Third,the simulation model of the linear induction motor speed identification control system based on model reference adaptation is built in the MATLAB environment.Finally,the simulation test and analysis are carried out.The simulation results show that the speed identification control system can track the actual speed of the linear induction motor well in the no-load operation and the load operation,and the stability of the system is guaranteed in the full speed range.展开更多

The algorithm structure is simple to be implemented and cannot be influenced by motor parameters, The improved stator flux estimation is used to compensate errors caused by the low pass filter (LPF). A new speed regulator is designed to ensure the system working with the maximal torque in the transient state. The system simulation and the prototype experiment are made. The algorithm with reduced order decreases the computational complexity and makes the proposed estimator feasible to be implemented in real time. Precise control of drives is the main attribute in industries to optimize the performance and to increase its production rate. In motion control, the major considerations are the torque and speed ripples. Design of controllers has become increasingly complex to such systems for better management of energy and raw materials to attain optimal performance. Meager parameter appraisal results are unsuitable, leading to unstable operation. The rapid intensification of digital computer revolutionizes to practice precise control and allows implementation of advanced control strategy to extremely multifaceted systems. To solve complex control problems, model predictive control is an authoritative scheme, which exploits an explicit model of the process to be controlled. This paper presents a predictive control strategy by a neural network predictive controller based single phase induction motor drive to minimize the speed and torque ripples. The...This paper presents an electronic VSD (variable speed drive) for three-phase IM (induction motor) using a microcontroller. The VSD is designed for cooling applications where the 1M is coupled to a cooling fan. The drive receives temperature feedback from objects to be cooled and output a corresponding frequency to the IM. A prototype of the VSD is constructed to control a 175 W, four pole, squirrel cage three-phase IM. The heart of the control circuit is a low-cost microchip's PICI6F777 microcontroller which is programmed using C language to generate variable frequency SPWM (sinusoidal pulse width modulation) switching signals. These switching signals are fed to an 1GBT inverter. The VSD constructed can be switched between two modes of speed control" automatic temperature-controlled mode and manual user-controlled mode. Cost savings using the prototype are demonstrated.展开更多

The decoupling strategy has been developed in terms of stator current components where the core loss is neglected. Many different controllers including fuzzy logic controller (FLC) with neglecting core loss have been designed to control the speed of induction motor. The outcome of investigation about the effect of core loss on indirect field oriented control (IFOC) has been concluded that the actual flux and torque are not reached to the reference flux and torque if core loss is neglected. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to propose a fuzzy logic speed controller of induction motor where flux and torque decoupling strategy is decoupled in terms of magnetizing current instead of stator current to alleviate the effects of core loss. The performances of proposed fuzzy-logic-based controller have been verified by computer simulation. The simulation of speed control of IM using PI and FLC are performed. The simulation study for high-performance control of IM drive shows the superiority of the proposed fuzzy logic controller over the conventional PI controller.展开更多

Experiments were carried out on the hardware platform of MCK2407, with chip TMS320LF2407 from TI Company. First, a comprehensive dynamical model of the permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) in d-q frame and its space-state equation are established. The slide model control method is used to estimate the electromotive force of PMSM under static frame, while the position of rotor and its actual speed are estimated by using phase loop lock(PLL) method. Next,using Lyapunov stability theorem, the asymptotical stability condition of the slide model observer is presented. Furthermore, based on the backstepping control theory, the PMSM rotor speed and current tracking backstepping controllers are designed, because such controllers display excellent speed tracking and anti-disturbance performance. Finally, Matlab simulation results show that the slide model observer can not only estimate the rotor position and speed of the PMSM accurately, but also ensure the asymptotical stability of the system and effective adjustment of rotor speed and current.展开更多

The estimated speed tracks the actual speed well in the based speed region and field weakening region ( 1 per unit value to 4 per unit value). Because brushless direct current(BLDC) motors have the advantages of a compact size, high power density, high efficiency, and long operating life time, they are widely used in many industrial products and electric tra...Because brushless direct current(BLDC) motors have the advantages of a compact size, high power density, high efficiency, and long operating life time, they are widely used in many industrial products and electric traction systems. It is known that the BLDC motors have no brushes for commutation. They are commutated with electronically commutation. So, the rotor position information of the BLDC motors must be known to understand which winding will be energized according to the energizing sequence. In most of the existing BLDC motor drivers, rotor position information is detected by Hall effect sensors. This kind of mechanical position sensors will bring additional connections and costs, reliability decrease and noise increase. In order to improve the control performance and extend the range of speed regulation for BLDC motors, a position sensorless control method is proposed in this paper. In the proposed control method, rotor position information of the BLDC motors is detected from the back electromagnetic forces(back-EMFs) which are estimated by an unknown-input observer with line to line currents and line to line voltages. For the purpose of verifying the effectiveness of the proposed control method, a model is built and simulated on the Matlab/Simulink platform. The simulation results show that the speed regulation performance of BLDC motors is improved compared with using Hall effect sensors. At the same time, the reliability of the BLDC motors is improved and the costs of them are reduced because the position sensor is eliminated.展开更多

文摘Three-phase induction motors are becoming increasingly utilized in industrialfield due to their better efficiency and simple manufacture.The speed control of an induction motor is essential in a variety of applications,but it is dif-ficult to control.This research analyses the three-phase induction motor’s perfor-mance usingfield-oriented control(FOC)and direct torque control(DTC)techniques.The major aim of this work is to provide a critical evaluation of devel-oping a simple speed controller for induction motors with improving the perfor-mance of Induction Motor(IM).For controlling a motor,different optimization approaches are accessible;in this research,a Fuzzy Logic Controller(FLC)with Fractional Order Darwinian Particle Swarm Optimization(FODPSO)algorithm is presented to control the induction motor.The FOC and DTC are controlled using FODPSO,and their performance is compared to the traditional FOC and DTC technique.Each scheme had its own simulation model,and the results were com-pared using hardware experimental and MATLAB-Simulink.In terms of time domain specifications and torque improvement,the proposed technique surpasses the existing method.
文摘The key of speed sensorless vector control system lies in the accurate orientation of magnetic field. In some field-oriented algorithms, the integrator of observers and the dead-time effect bring in system errors during the estimation of field position. In this paper, a saturated feedback integrator is used, and the dead-time effect is compen- sated by current positive feedback. Experiments were carried out on the hardware platform of MCK2407, with chip TMS320LF2407 from TI Company. The results show that the prooosed method is simole and effective, and the accuracy of field position is improved.
文摘A method of improving the stability of multiple-motor drive system fed by a 3-leg single inverter has been devised that employs the averages and differences of estimated parameters for field-oriented control. The parameters of each motor (stator current, rotor flux, and speed) are estimated using adaptive rotor flux observers to achieve sensorless control. The validity and effective of the proposed method have been demonstrated through simulations and experiments.
文摘An induction motor with its speed modulated by frequency features wide transfer speed range, high systematie efficiency, simple structure and long life, and it therefore becomes one of the best driving motors used in electrical vehicles. The present research trend of it is high power, high speed, high efficiency and long life. How to meet the above requirements by using the electromagnetic design, structure design and beat design, becomes a matter that needs to be resolved now. In this paper, the characters of the motor in operation are analyzed, all kinds of factors that relate to life are laid out, its heating and loss are discussed and analyzed. The key reasons affecting the motor life are presented, and different characters of a high induction motor are compared with these of a general induction motor. A design idea is described, that is : we should consider how to improve the efficiency and reliability as well as bow to reduce the heating by changing the electromagnet, structure, dissipation and operation of the motor. How to reduce its losses and to improve its dissipation has been presented in the paper.

文摘This paper presents a backstepping control method for speed sensorless permanent magnet synchronous motor based on slide model observer. First, a comprehensive dynamical model of the permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) in d-q frame and its space-state equation are established. The slide model control method is used to estimate the electromotive force of PMSM under static frame, while the position of rotor and its actual speed are estimated by using phase loop lock(PLL) method. Next,using Lyapunov stability theorem, the asymptotical stability condition of the slide model observer is presented. Furthermore, based on the backstepping control theory, the PMSM rotor speed and current tracking backstepping controllers are designed, because such controllers display excellent speed tracking and anti-disturbance performance. Finally, Matlab simulation results show that the slide model observer can not only estimate the rotor position and speed of the PMSM accurately, but also ensure the asymptotical stability of the system and effective adjustment of rotor speed and current.

文摘For the two-level five-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor(FP-PMSM)drive system,an improved finite-control-set model predictive torque control(MPTC)strategy is adopted to reduce torque ripple and improve the control performance of the system.The mathematical model of model reference adaptive system(MRAS)of FP-PMSM is derived and a method based on fractional order sliding mode(FOSM)is proposed to construct the model reference adaptive system(FOSMMRAS)to improve the motor speed estimation accuracy and eliminate the sliding mode integral saturation effect.The simulation results show that the FP-PMSM speed sensorless FCS-MPTC system based on FOSM-MRAS has strong robustness,good dynamic performance and static performance,and high reliability.
文摘Recent advancements in power electronics technology evolves inverter fed electric motors.Speed signals and rotor position are essential for controlling an electric motor accurately.In this paper,the sensorless speed control of surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor(SPMSM)has been attempted.SPMSM wants a digital inverter for its precise working.Hence,this study incor-poratesfifteen level inverter to the SPMSM.A sliding mode observer(SMO)based sensorless speed control scheme is projected to determine rotor spot and speed of the multilevel inverter(MLI)fed SPMSM.MLI has been operated using a multi carrier pulse width modulation(MCPWM)strategy for generation offif-teen level voltages.The simulation works are executed with MATLAB/SIMU-LINK software.The steadiness and the heftiness of the projected model have been investigated under no loaded and loaded situations of SPMSM.Furthermore,the projected method can be adapted for electric vehicles.
文摘A speed-sensorless vector control system for induction machines (IMs)is presented, According to the vector control theory of IMs, the rotor flux is estimated based on a flux observer,and the speed is estimated through the method of q-axis rotor flux converging on zero with proportional integral regulator, A 0.75 kW,50 Hz,two-pole induction machine was used in the simulation and experimental verification, The simulation model was constructed in Matlab. A series of tests were performed in the field weakening region, for both no-load and loaded operation. The estimated speed tracks the actual speed well in the based speed region and field weakening region ( 1 per unit value to 4 per unit value). The small estimation error of residual speed is due to the existence of slip.

文摘In recent years,the application of sensorless AC motor drives is expanding in areas ranging from industrial applications to household electrical appliances.As is well known,the advantages of sensorless motor drives include lower cost,increased reliability,reduced hardware complexity,better noise immunity,and less maintenance requirements.With the development of modern industrial automation,more advanced sensorless control strategies are needed to meet the requirements of applications.For sensorless motor drives at low-and zero-speed operation,inverter nonlinearities and motor parameter variation have significant impact on the stability of control system.Meanwhile,high observer’s bandwidth is required in high-speed region.This paper introduces the state of art of recent progress in sensorless AC motor drives.In addition,this paper presents the sensorless control strategies we investigated for practical industrial and household applications.Both advanced sensorless drives of induction motor(IM)and permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM)are presented in this paper.
文摘Because brushless direct current(BLDC) motors have the advantages of a compact size, high power density, high efficiency, and long operating life time, they are widely used in many industrial products and electric traction systems. It is known that the BLDC motors have no brushes for commutation. They are commutated with electronically commutation. So, the rotor position information of the BLDC motors must be known to understand which winding will be energized according to the energizing sequence. In most of the existing BLDC motor drivers, rotor position information is detected by Hall effect sensors. This kind of mechanical position sensors will bring additional connections and costs, reliability decrease and noise increase. In order to improve the control performance and extend the range of speed regulation for BLDC motors, a position sensorless control method is proposed in this paper. In the proposed control method, rotor position information of the BLDC motors is detected from the back electromagnetic forces(back-EMFs) which are estimated by an unknown-input observer with line to line currents and line to line voltages. For the purpose of verifying the effectiveness of the proposed control method, a model is built and simulated on the Matlab/Simulink platform. The simulation results show that the speed regulation performance of BLDC motors is improved compared with using Hall effect sensors. At the same time, the reliability of the BLDC motors is improved and the costs of them are reduced because the position sensor is eliminated.
