Effect of information-motivation-behavioral skills model based perioperative nursing on pain in patients with gallstones

BACKGROUND The incidence of cholecystolithiasis is on the rise.Use of information,motivation,and behavioral skills can play a positive role in promoting changes in individual health behaviors.However,reports on the effects of information-motivationbehavioral(IMB)skills model based high-quality nursing as a perioperative nursing intervention for patients with gallstones are nonexistent.AIM To explore the application of IMB skills model based high-quality nursing in patients with gallstones.METHODS Two hundred and sixteen patients with cholecystolithiasis treated at our hospital from January 2022 to January 2023 were enrolled and divided into a control,highquality,and combined nursing groups,with 72 patients in each group.The control,high-quality,and combination groups received conventional,high-quality,and IMB skills model based perioperative nursing services,respectively.Differences in clinical indicators,stress levels,degree of pain,emotional state,and quality of life were observed,and complications and nursing satisfaction among the three groups were evaluated.RESULTS After nursing,the time to recovery of gastrointestinal function in the high-quality and combined nursing groups was significantly shorter than that of the control group,with the recovery of gastrointestinal function being the fastest in the combined nursing group(P<0.05).After nursing intervention,cortisol and norepinephrine levels in the high-quality and combined nursing groups were closer to normal than those of the control group 24 h after surgery,with the combined nursing group having the closest to normal levels(P<0.05).After 3 and 7 d of intervention,the patients’pain significantly improved,which was more prominent in the highquality and combination groups.Meanwhile,the pain score in the combination group was significantly lower than those of the control and high-quality nursing groups(P<0.05).After nursing intervention,the emotional states of all patients improved,and the scores of patients in the combination group were significantly lower than those of the control and high-quality nursing groups.The quality of life of patients in the high-quality and combined nursing groups significantly improved after nursing intervention compared to that of the control group,with the combined nursing group having the highest quality of life score.After intervention,the incidence of complications in the high-quality and combination groups was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05),but the difference between the combination and high-quality nursing groups was not significant.Nursing satisfaction of patients in the high-quality and combination groups was significantly higher than that of the control group,with the nursing satisfaction being the highest in the combination group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION IMB skills model based nursing can improve surgical stress levels,degrees of pain,emotional state,quality of life,and nursing satisfaction of patients with gallstones and reduce the incidence of complications.

Effect of health education based on information-motivationbehavioral skills model on patients with unilateral vestibular dysfunction

BACKGROUND Vestibular dysfunction(VH)is a common concomitant symptom of late peri-pheral vestibular lesions,which can be trauma,poisoning,infection,heredity,and neurodegeneration,but about 50%of the causes are unknown.The study uses the information-motivation-behavioral skills(IMB)model for health education,effectively improve the quality of life,increase their self-confidence,reduce anxiety and depression,and effectively improve the psychological state of patients.AIM To explore the effect of health education based on the IMB model on the degree of vertigo,disability,anxiety and depression in patients with unilateral vestibular hypofunction.METHODS The clinical data of 80 patients with unilateral vestibular hypofunction from January 2019 to December 2021 were selected as the retrospective research objects,and they were divided into the control group and the observation group with 40 cases in each group according to different nursing methods.Among them,the control group was given routine nursing health education and guidance,and the observation group was given health education and guidance based on the IMB model.The changes in self-efficacy,anxiety and depression,and quality of life of patients with unilateral VH were compared between the two groups.RESULTS There was no significant difference in General Self-Efficacy Scale(GSES)scale scores between the two groups of patients before nursing(P>0.05),which was comparable;after nursing,the GSES scale scores of the two groups were higher than those before nursing.The nursing group was higher than the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the scores of Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale(HADS)and anxiety and depression subscales between the two groups before nursing(P>0.05).After nursing,the HADS score,anxiety,and depression subscale scores of the two groups of patients were lower than those before nursing,and the nursing group was lower than the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After nursing,the Dizziness Handicap Inventory(DHI)scale and DHI-P,DHI-E and DHI-F scores in the two groups were decreased,and the scores in the nursing group were lower than those in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Health education based on the IMB model can effectively improve patients'quality of life,increase self-efficacy of patients with unilateral vestibular hypofunction,enhance patients'confidence,enable patients to resume normal work and life as soon as possible,reduce patients'anxiety and depression,and effectively improve patients'psychological status.

Practice Analysis on the Teaching Theory and Skills of English Translation

As a universal language, English makes a better communication between China and the developed countries;English language teaching has become increasingly important in more and more Chinese Schools. At the beginning, when Chinese students start to learn a second language, they need to translate the second language such as English into Chinese in the first hand, and this procedure will help them to understand and learn English better. For English language translation teachers, they need to research and create the suitable, effective method of learning English translation for most students constantly in order to improve the English translation learning efficiency of the Chinese students. The local culture of China is quite different from the culture of other English speaking countries. When our Chinese students study English language translation, at the same time, they need to learn the different culture in different countries and learn how to accept and face up the cultural background difference between our country and the other English speaking countries. In the meantime, during the time of teaching English translation, the English translation subject teachers need to guide the students to learn and understand the difference in practice, and help them to establish a comprehensive and correct idea of learning English translation through teaching correct and different translation skills.

An Analysis of the Translation Skills in Life and Death Are Wearing Me Out from the Perspective of Skopos Theory

Skopos Theory is the kernel part of functionalism, holding that the skopos rule is the top-ranking rule that justifies the overall translation process. This paper attempts to make an analysis of the C-E translation of Life and Death Are Wearing Me Out from the perspectives of Skopos Theory, and intends to explore the impact of translating skopos on the translator's choice of translating skills as well as the possible reasons behind them.

System Assimilation of E-Skills in Tertiary Institutions to Empower Graduates in South Africa

The value of system assimilation is to improve working relationships between tutors and learners while increasing workflow efficiency among tertiary institutions with low operational costs. E-skills could be described as electronic education development, to assist ICT professionals to reach their future career goals and aim to help users boost their ICT skills. In a society that is expanding, it is also a crucial issue to take into account. Researchers have turned their attention to this topic because of its significance and contribution to the empowerment of graduates in digital education. Many scholars have proposed many methods for integrating e-skills into society with impressive results, but the rising rate of graduate unemployment in South Africa is gradually becoming a big worry in our society. A model based on Activity Theory (AT) and e-skills will be developed in our tertiary institution to equip graduates with skills that will increase their employability and provide more individualized work opportunities as part of this study’s effort to solve this issue. With the use of the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) and Cronbach’s Alpha for validity and reliability testing, the study will create an experimental performance to assess the approach taken to measure e-skills in tertiary institutions to empower graduates in South Africa. The study established that system development and e-skilled models for tertiary institutions are growing gradually, especially in South African institutions, that empower graduates with profitable employability with experiences to improve work operation in the industries. In conclusion, system development and e-skills are very demanding but important to empower graduate employability to determine competency in the professional workforce.

An Analysis of English-Chinese Translation Methods and Skills of UCP600 under the Three Rules of Skopos Theory

Documentary credits play an important role in China's foreign trade settlements and UCP600 is the current international uniform customs and practice for documentary credits. This paper takes UCP600 as the analytical text and combines the three rules of Skopos Theory to analyze and summarize English-Chinese translation methods and skills of UCP600, aiming to help translators especially participated in foreign trade, to have a better understanding of E-C translation of UCP600 and give them some inspira-tions on understanding and translating texts similiar to UCP600, hence making settlements of documentary credits smoothier in Chinese foreign trade.

Health education intervention and its impact on patients with unilateral vestibular dysfunction:An information-motivation-behavioral model approach

Unilateral vestibular dysfunction is a one-sided impairment of vestibular function in one ear.Incorporating health education in treatment and rehabilitation plans can improve vestibular function,keep negative emotions at bay,and reduce the extent of the condition.This letter investigates the impact of the informationmotivation-behavioral skills model as a medium for health education on patient outcomes.While offering encouraging observations,there are certain limitations,such as the study’s retrospective design,small sample size,use of subjective measures,and lack of longer follow-ups that challenge the cogency of the study.The study is a step toward transforming vestibular dysfunction treatment through health education.

A New Way to Predict Forecast Skill

Forecast skill (Anomaly Correlated Coefficient, ACC) is a quantity to show the forecast quality of the products of numerical weather forecasting models. Predicting forecast skill, which is the foundation of ensemble forecasting, means submitting products to predict their forecast quality before they are used. Checking the reason is to understand the predictability for the real cases. This kind of forecasting service has been put into operational use by statistical methods previously at the National Meteorological Center (NMC), USA (now called the National Center for Environmental Prediction (NCEP)) and European Center for Medium-range Weather Forecast (ECMWF). However, this kind of service is far from satisfactory because only a single variable is used with the statistical method. In this paper, a new way based on the Grey Control Theory with multiple predictors to predict forecast skill of forecast products of the T42L9 of the NMC, China Meteorological Administration (CMA) is introduced. The results show: (1) The correlation coefficients between 'forecasted' and real forecast skill range from 0.56 to 0.7 at different seasons during the two-year period. (2) The grey forecasting model GM(1,8) forecasts successfully the high peaks, the increasing or decreasing tendency, and the turning points of the change of forecast skill of cases from 5 January 1990 to 29 February 1992.

Theories behind a nursing intern’s error in terms of clinical decision-making

Clinical decision-making and judgment is an essential skill that should be acquired by nursing interns.However,many studies reveal that a large proportion of nursing interns have difficulty in meeting the basic expectation of clinical decision-making.This article begins with a brief review of some theories related to clinical decision-making.Then it takes a case,for example,to show how the wrong decision is made.Furthermore,it makes a general analysis on the case drawing on the concept of bounded rationality,dual-process model,and skills acquisition theory.This article ends with some reflections from the case,to improve the consciousness and skills in decision-making for nursing interns.

Translation of Biomedical Literature From a Perspective of Skopos Theory

The frontier studies about bio-medicine have a large blowout in recent years,so the translation of bio-medical literature is significant in terms of research.Under the guidance of Skopos theory,the authors analyze the use of different translation skills,such as,addition,omission,conversion,division,and combination,to solve the difficulties encountered in the process of translation.Such translations skills can help to overcome translation problems and achieve good communicative effect of scientific and technological texts.

Research and Design of the Adaptive Evaluation System Based on the IRT Theory

This paper, on the basis of the author realizing the skill evaluation system based on real environment, discusses several commonly used parameter estimation methods based on item response theory （ IRT ） and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of each estimation method and their respective application fields. Also, it expounds the research theory and design process of skill adaptive evaluation system based on real environment and the innovation of the system.

The Application of the Psychological Linguistics Theory in College English Reading Teaching

The training of reading skill is the focal point of college English teaching. Psychological linguistics provides a new point of view for college English teaching. From the aspect of psychological linguistics theory this paper discusses some issues, including how to train students to complete the reading process independently, how to build the schema to achieve integrated discourse comprehension, how to choose the most appropriate reading model, in order to improve the English reading skill and provide some enlightenment for college English reading teaching.

Study on Features of Interpreting Courses and Interpreting Teaching Strategy of Postgraduate Interpreting Majors from the perspective of the Theory of Sense

With the ever-spreading of international globalization and much frequent communication among countries in politics, economics and culture. Interpretation which serves as communicative bridge between different languages, which has become an important inter-lingual communicative device. In order to meet the demand of the growing need for interpreting talents, more and more institutions of higher learning begin to set up translation and interpretation courses for undergraduate and graduate students. The thesis focuses on making a brief analysis on the present situation of interpreting courses of graduate students in Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region. The thesis is composed of three parts： the first part is a brief analysis of the interpreting features of graduate students in Inner Mongolia, the second part analyzes the principles of interpreting training from the perspective of interpretive theory. The third part is the suggestions for interpreting training so as to make a contribution to the teaching of interpreting in Inner Mongolia.

Application of the Functional Equivalence Theory in Movie Subtitle Translation—Exemplified by Three Billboards Outside Ebbing,Missouri

In recent years,foreign films have been introduced into China,which have a tremendous impact on people’s social life.As a major tool for obtaining information and enjoying entertainment,film subtitle translation is becoming increasingly important.Meanwhile,the English level and appreciation ability of domestic audience is continuously improving with the change of the times,and their demand and requirement for subtitle translation are also improving.Nowadays,there are still many immature parts in sub⁃title translation,and the theory in China is relatively deficient.Therefore,the subtitle translation level of film needs to be rose.The translator constantly improves the translation ability by using translation theories and skills.Based on the theory of functional equiv⁃alence,this thesis translates the subtitle of the film Three Billboards Outside Ebbing,Missouri.Firstly,this paper briefly introduces the development of the film subtitle translation and the film.Secondly,it introduces the translation theories and skills applied in translation practice,making a particular analysis in combination with specific practical cases.Finally,the translator makes a sum⁃mary for the translation process.The translator hopes that through the translation practice,some attempts can be made for future re⁃search in subtitle translation.

自我决定理论视角下在线学习力模型构建——基于扎根理论的质性分析

在线学习已经成为重要的学习方式之一,与之相对应的在线学习力成为一个热点问题。通过收集S校7位大学生的在线讲座信息、对Y校8位优秀网络教育学生进行访谈获取的资料,以自我决定理论为指导,基于扎根理论的三级编码方法,利用NVivo12.0质性分析软件构建了动机—行为—绩效的在线学习力模型,具体包括学习动机、学习投入、学习技能、学习情绪和学习绩效5个维度。其中,学习动机由目标倾向和价值意义组成;学习投入由意识认知、行为努力和社交支撑构成;学习技能落实在学习策略、信息能力和综合能力3个方面;学习情绪具有积极心态和负面情绪2个类别;学习绩效则体现在学习业绩和学习满意度2个层面。从教育视角来看,提高在线学习力必须强化在线学习体验,加强教师的教学设计和教学干预,完善在线学习绩效评价等。

共同体理论下产教融合质量评价指标体系的构建研究

产教融合是提升职业教育办学水平、提高人才培养质量、激发企业创新活力的有效举措,是优化职业教育类型定位的必由路径。产教融合涉及多元主体,对其质量评价体系的建构要从政府、企业、院校等多个主体维度进行系统性思考,致力形成利益共享、责任共担、多方共赢的共同体。基于共同体理论内涵的共同利益、集体责任、公共精神三个维度内容,构建并具体分析了包含上述内容的产教融合质量评价指标体系,根据这一指标体系,可对职业院校产教融合质量情况进行有效分析及评价。

Peyton四步教学法在泌尿外科临床实习带教中的应用

目的 评估Peyton四步教学法在泌尿外科临床实习带教中的应用效果。方法 选取2023年4月至2024年2月在北京协和医院泌尿外科小组轮转的临床实习医师14人,随机分为研究组7名和对照组7名。研究组采用Peyton四步教学法进行临床带教,对照组采用常规教学法进行临床带教。两组实习医师经过1月轮转学习后,进行理论考核和临床技能考核,同时采用调查问卷的方式评价临床带教效果。结果 研究组和对照组两组实习医师的理论成绩分别为(93.60±3.05)分和(91.80±2.39)分,差异无统计学意义。临床技能考核成绩分别为(92.00±1.87)分和(86.80±3.27)分(P<0.05),在临床技能方面,研究组成绩提升明显。调查问卷结果反馈,Peyton教学组在学生满意度和教师满意度均优于对照组。结论 应用Peyton四步教学法可以明显提高实习医师的临床技能成绩,带教老师和学生均对Peyton四步教学法模式的满意度较高,适合在泌尿外科临床推广应用。

知行易径理论视域下丧偶老人心理健康服务模式研究

随着人口老龄化的进程加快,丧偶老人的数量也与日俱增,其心理健康问题日益突出,普遍存在孤独感强烈、难以适应角色等问题。本研究基于知行易径理论构建丧偶老人心理健康服务模式,从生理、动机、认知、情绪、行为与环境六个领域先评估丧偶老人的需要,进而界定干预目标,构建干预措施,使其有效地达到个体的生活目标,提升丧偶老人生活质量,为探索丧偶老人社会生活重建路径提供参照。

以学生为主体的生物学课程与教学论课程教学改革与实践

传统生物学课程与教学论课堂教学中学生的“中心”地位不突出,考核评价主题单一,致使学生教学实践素养提升不足、难以适应未来职业发展需求。因此,将学习的主动权还给学生,突出学生课堂教学中的主体地位,使之更为有效地达成学习目标,是课程与教学论教学实践中亟待解决的问题。基于学生中心理念,南昌师范学院教学团队通过重塑课程教学目标,重构课程内容体系,创新教学方式方法,改革教学评价模式等多种途径,尝试构建生物学课程与教学论课堂教学新模式,以充分调动学生学习的主动性和积极性,从而有效达成课程教学目标,为生物科学专业师范生教育教学能力提升和专业素养的可持续发展奠定坚实基础。
