In order to analyze the spray characteristics of non-circular nozzle holes based on the air-assisted spray system, the spray characteristics of circular and non-circular nozzles were studied under the pressure of 0.2-...In order to analyze the spray characteristics of non-circular nozzle holes based on the air-assisted spray system, the spray characteristics of circular and non-circular nozzles were studied under the pressure of 0.2-0.6 MPa and the spray volume of 1000-5000 mL/h. Elliptical nozzle and triangular nozzle are classified as non-circular geometries. The spray cone angle was measured by processing the spray image captured by a CCD camera. The measured spray cone angles of the circular nozzles were analyzed, and the axis switching phenomenon of minor plane of elliptical nozzle was found during the test. Among the three shapes of nozzles, the elliptical nozzle had the largest spray cone angle, and the triangular nozzle had the smallest. The velocity field obtained depended on the PIV system. The results show that for axial velocity, elliptical orifice spray has greater kinetic energy and smaller droplet size under the same working parameters. Compared with the circular and elliptical nozzles, triangular orifice reached maximum spray velocity the fastest, but its velocity decay was the fastest. For radial velocity, away from the axis, the spray velocity of the elliptical orifice was less affected by the injection parameters, and the velocity was less than that of circular orifice and triangle orifice. Increasing air pressure will weaken radial propagation. The increase of liquid spraying rate had no remarkable effect on the increase of spraying rate. The results of particle size analysis show that the particle size of the non-circular orifice is reduced compared with that of the circular orifice, which promotes the breakup of droplets to a certain extent and enhances the atomization effect.展开更多

In order to improve the fuel consumption and exhaust emission for gasoline engines,gasoline direct injection(GDI) system is spotlighted to solve these requirements.Thus,many researchers focus on the investigation of...In order to improve the fuel consumption and exhaust emission for gasoline engines,gasoline direct injection(GDI) system is spotlighted to solve these requirements.Thus,many researchers focus on the investigation of spray characteristics and the fuel formation of GDI injector.This paper presents a complete numerical and experimental characterization of transient gasoline spray from a high pressure injection system equipped with a modern single-hole electric controlled injector in a pressurized constant volume vessel.The numerical analysis is carried out in a one-dimensional model of fuel injection system which is developed in the AVL HYDSIM environment.The experimental analyses are implemented through a self-developed injection rate measurement device and spray evolution visualization system.The experimental results of injection rate and spray dynamics are taken to tune and validate the built model.The visualization system synchronize a high speed CMOS camera to obtain the spray structure,moreover,the captured images are taken to validate the injector needle lift process which is simulated in the model.The reliability of the built model is demonstrated by comparing the numerical results with the experimental data.The formed vortex structure at 0.8 ms is effectively disintegrated at 6.2 ms and the spray dynamics become rather chaotic.The fuel flow characteristics within injector nozzle extremely influence the subsequent spray evolution,and therefore this point should be reconsidered when building hybrid breakup GDI spray model.The spray tip speed reach the maximum at 1.18 ms regardless of the operation conditions and this is only determined by the injector itself.Furthermore,an empirical equation for the spray tip penetration is obtained and good agreement with the measured results is reached at a certain extent.This paper provides a methodology for the investigation of spray behavior and fuel distribution of GDI engine design.展开更多

And double-factor variance analysis is applied to investigate the influence of the rail pressure and injection pulse width on the consistency of fuel injection quantity, thus to test whether the design of structure parameters is sound accordingly. The results of experiment and test show that rail pressure and injection pulse width as well as their mutual-effect have no influence on the injection quantity consistency, which proves that the structure parameters design is successful and performance of GD-1 system is sound.展开更多

Current development f...A direct injection low compression ratios diesel rotary engine is designed and studied to find the appropriate application of the electronic controlled high pressure common rail injection system. Current development focuses on the applied fuel injection and ignition strategies, especially concerning the combustion configurations of injectors, ignition source, and combustion chamber. The prototype engine, equipped with Bosch common rail system and high performance electronic control unit (ECU), is designed correspondingly. Studies show that the integration of a common rail injection system and the main and pilot duel injectors configurations, assisted with glow plug ignition device and flexible ECU, represents a promising approach to improve the potential of the low compression ratios diesel rotary engine. Currently the engine can run at 6 kr · min^-1 steadily and the power is about 68 kW/(4 kr ·min^- 1).展开更多
RP-3 jet fuel could be an alternative fuel for diesel engines.In this study,the injection characteristics of RP-3jet fuel under single and split injection strategies were investigated and compared with diesel fuel.The...RP-3 jet fuel could be an alternative fuel for diesel engines.In this study,the injection characteristics of RP-3jet fuel under single and split injection strategies were investigated and compared with diesel fuel.The experimental results indicate that RP-3 jet fuel has slightly shorter injection delay time than diesel fuel,but this difference is negligible in actual engine operations.Further,although the lower density and viscosity of RP-3 jet fuel lead to higher volumetric injection rates and cycle-based injection quantities,the cycle-based injection mass and the mass injection rates at the stable injection stage of RP-3 jet fuel are close to or slightly lower than those of diesel fuel.Based on these experimental observations,it could be concluded that fuel physical properties are the secondary factor influencing the injection characteristics in both single and split injection strategies,as RP-3 jet fuel and diesel fuel are taken for comparison.展开更多
In order to realize steady-state operation of the neutral beam injection(NBI) system with high beam energy,an accurate thermal analysis and a prediction about working conditions of heat-removal structures inside hig...In order to realize steady-state operation of the neutral beam injection(NBI) system with high beam energy,an accurate thermal analysis and a prediction about working conditions of heat-removal structures inside high-heat-flux(HHF) components in the system are key issues.In this paper,taking the HHF ion dump with swirl tubes in NBI system as an example,an accurate thermal dynamic simulation method based on computational fluid dynamics(CFD) and the finite volume method is presented to predict performance of the HHF component.In this simulation method,the Eulerian multiphase method together with some empirical corrections about the inter-phase transfer model and the wall heat flux partitioning model are considered to describe the subcooled boiling.The reliability of the proposed method is validated by an experimental example with subcooled boiling inside swirl tube.The proposed method provides an important tool for the refined thermal and flow dynamic analysis of HHF components,and can be extended to study the thermal design of other complex HHF engineering structures in a straightforward way.The simulation results also verify that the swirl tube is a promising heat removing structure for the HHF components of the NBI system.展开更多

By means of computer simulation, the pressure values in specific sections of the injection nozzle may be computed, the needle lift, injection rate, total injected fuel, time lag from injector current to first evidence of injection process and other time-lags between various phases of the injection process. The injection rate provides input data for spray computer simulation. Measurements of injection and combustion were carried out within a transparent research engine. This engine is a single-cylinder transparent engine based on the AUDI V6 engine, equipped with a Bosch Common Rail Injection System. Pellet injection is an attractive technology for core-fueling and magnetohydrodynamic study in magnetic-conflnement fusion devices like tokamaks and stellarators.It can inject solid hydrogen/deuterium pellets into the...Pellet injection is an attractive technology for core-fueling and magnetohydrodynamic study in magnetic-conflnement fusion devices like tokamaks and stellarators.It can inject solid hydrogen/deuterium pellets into the plasma with deeper density deposition compared with other fueling methods,such as gas pufflng.A three-barrel H_(2)pellet injection system was installed on the J-TEXT tokamak and experiments were carried out.The pellets are formed in three barrels cooled by a cryocooler and compressor system at around 9 K,and are 0.8 mm/1 mm diameter and 0.8 mm length.The pellet is launched by helium propellant gas and injected from the lowfleld side of the plasma.The normal range of pellet speed is 210–310 m s^(-1)for different propellant gas pressures.Due to the three-barrel structure,the number of injected pellets can be adjusted between one and three.Pellets can be launched sequentially with arbitrary time intervals,which enables flexible applications.The results of the experiments show that pellet fueling efflciency can reach 50%.The energy conflnement time increased by about 7.5–10 ms after pellet injection.展开更多

The ideal response characteristics are got through the calculation. An optimal scheme which satisfies the operation requirements is put forward. The driving voltage and maintaining voltage are set as 90 V and 21 V;number of the coil turns is 30 N;air gap is determined as 0.6 mm;the opening and closing time are respectively 0.98 ms and 0.8 ms. This paper can be used as a reference for the design of the solenoid valve.展开更多
Objective To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of a computer-controlled periodontal ligament (PDL) injection system to the local soft tissues as the primary technique in endodontic access to mandibular posteri...Objective To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of a computer-controlled periodontal ligament (PDL) injection system to the local soft tissues as the primary technique in endodontic access to mandibular posterior teeth in patients with irreversible pulpitis. Methods A total of 162 Chinese patients who had been diagnosed with irreversible pulpitis in their mandibular posterior teeth without acute infection or inflammation in the periodontal tissues were enrolled in this clinical study. The patients were divided into 3 groups according to the position of the involved tooth: the premolar group (PM, z2=38), first molar group (FM, n=66), and second molar group (SM, n=58). All the patients received computer-controlled PDL injection with 4% articaine and 1 ' 100 000 epinephrine. Immediately after the injection, endodontic access was performed, and the degree of pain during the treatment was evaluated by the patients using Visual Analogue Scale for pain. The success rates were compared among the 3 groups. The responses of local soft tissues were evaluated 3-8 days and 3 weeks after the procedure. Results The overall success rate was 76.5%. There was a significant difference in success rates among the PM, FM, and SM groups (92.1%, 53.0%, 93.1%, respectively; 2 X =34.3, P〈0.01). Both the PM and SM groups showed higher success rates than that of the FM group (v=l, f=16.73, P〈0.01, v=l, Z = 4.5, X2 2 P〈0.01). No irreversible adverse effects on the periodontal soft tissues at the injection sites were observed in the follow-up visits in any of the groups. Conclusion The computer-controlled PDL injection system demonstrates both satisfactory anesthetic effects and safety in local soft tissues as primary anesthetic technique in endodontic access to the mandibular posterior teeth in patients with irreversible pulpitis.展开更多
A compact torus injection system,KTX-CTI,has been developed for the planned injection experiments on the Keda Torus e Xperiment(KTX)reversed field pinch(RFP)device to investigate the physics and engineering issues ass...A compact torus injection system,KTX-CTI,has been developed for the planned injection experiments on the Keda Torus e Xperiment(KTX)reversed field pinch(RFP)device to investigate the physics and engineering issues associated with interaction between a compact torus(CT)and RFP.The key interests include fueling directly into the reactor center,confinement improvement,and the injection of momentum and helicity into the RFP discharges.The CT velocity and mass have been measured using a multichannel optical fiber interferometer,and for the first time the time evolution of the CT density profile during CT propagation is obtained.The effects of discharge parameters on the number of injected particles,CT velocity and CT density have been characterized:the maximum hydrogen CT plasma mass,m,CTis 50μg,corresponding to 30%of the mass in a typical KTX plasma;the CT velocity exceeds 120 km s-1.It is observed for the first time that multiple CTs can be produced and emitted during a very short period(<100μs)in one discharge,which is significant for the future study of repetitive CT injection,even with an ultra-high frequency.展开更多

Furthermore, we simulate the pressure distribution by the Monte Carlo method. These faults may induce inherent failure mode,thus bringing about unexpected output, and the anticipated goal of the test is attained. The fault injection con-sists of voltage signal generator, current signal generator and rear drive circuit which are specially developed,and the ATS can work regularly by means of software simulation. The experimental results indicate that the faultinjection system can find the deficiency of the automatic testing software, and identify the preference of fault re-dundancy. On the other hand, some soft deficiency never exposed before can be identified by analyzing the tes-ting results.展开更多

Efficient monitoring of Saudi Aramco’s vast water injection system requires th...Microbial activity is the cause of a variety of problems in water injection systems, e.g., microbial corrosion, plugging, and biofouling. Efficient monitoring of Saudi Aramco’s vast water injection system requires the development of online and automated technologies for monitoring microbial activities in the system. A previous system review and technology screening has identified five single-analyte strategies [1], which were evaluated in this study with a laboratory-scale setup to determine their applicability for automated determination of microbial activity in the injection water system. Four of the five single-analyte measuring principles tested in the laboratory setup were deemed less suitable for automation and/or reliable for use in the detection of microbial activity in the company injection water system. These four principles were: luminescence assay for adenosine-5’-triphosphate (ATP), detection and electrochemical measurements of H<sub>2</sub>S, determination of pH by electrochemical sensor, and measurement of oxidation-reduction potential (ORP). The strategy of staining cells with fluorescent DNA dyes, followed by quantification of fluorescence signals, was identified to hold, with proper optimization of DNA staining and fluorescence detection, a very promising potential for integration in automated, online sensors for microbial activity in the injection water system.展开更多

One approach to reduce CO2 emissions from gasoline engines is to achieve stratified charge combustion with various injection ratios using port fuel injection (PFI) and direct injection. The combustion and emission characteristics of a 4-valve direct injection spark ignition (DISI) engine equipped with a dual injection system were investigated while the injection ratio was varied. When the direct injection ratio increased, the lean limit A/F was extended. This suggests that the dual injection gasoline engine with both PFI and direct injection can meet severe vehicle emission and fuel economy requirements. The dual injection system had higher combustion pressure than that of either a conventional or direct injection systems. Therefore, the engine power of a dual injection DISI engine would be higher than that of a single injection DISI engine. However, NOx emissions increased compared with the emission levels in both PFI and DISI systems.展开更多

A serial communication mechanism is adopted to simulate the factual work environment. Then a fault model is built for single particle event,which can be denoted as FM=(FL,FT). FL stands for fault location,and FT stands for fault type. The fault model supports three temporal faults: transient,intermittent,and permanent. During the experiments implemented by SFIS,the software interruption method is adopted to inject transient faults,and step trace method is adopted to inject permanent faults into the target system. The experiment results indicate that for the injected transient code segment faults,2.8 % of them do not affect the program output,80.1% of them are detected by the built-in error detection in the system,and 17.1% of them are not detected by fault detection mechanism. The experiment results verify the validity of the fault injection method.展开更多

The device is powered by a Lorentz force driver (or voice coil motor, VCM) and is able to perform pulsed injection through controlling the direction of the current passing through the device. The driving force and the resulting injection pressure are also controllable through control of the current intensity of the VCM. A physical model was established by combining the existing jet injection model with the relationship of the driving force obtained from a finite-element-method (FEM) analysis, and was verified by experimental measurements. The numerical calculation of the physical model reveals the relationship between the injection pressure and the current intensity of VCM under system conditions. In normal cases, the injection dose can be varied. Thus the relationship between the current intensity of VCM and the dose value was numerically obtained under the condition for the maximum injection pressure to be above a threshold value. These results can be used for optimization of the device.展开更多

And double-factor variance analysis is applied to investigate the influence of the rail pressure and injection pulse width on the consistency of fuel injection quantity, thus to test whether the design of structure parameters is sound accordingly. The results of experiment and test show that rail pressure and injection pulse width as well as their mutual-effect have no influence on the injection quantity consistency, which proves that the structure parameters design is successful and performance of GD-1 system is sound.

文摘A direct injection low compression ratios diesel rotary engine is designed and studied to find the appropriate application of the electronic controlled high pressure common rail injection system. Current development focuses on the applied fuel injection and ignition strategies, especially concerning the combustion configurations of injectors, ignition source, and combustion chamber. The prototype engine, equipped with Bosch common rail system and high performance electronic control unit (ECU), is designed correspondingly. Studies show that the integration of a common rail injection system and the main and pilot duel injectors configurations, assisted with glow plug ignition device and flexible ECU, represents a promising approach to improve the potential of the low compression ratios diesel rotary engine. Currently the engine can run at 6 kr · min^-1 steadily and the power is about 68 kW/(4 kr ·min^- 1).

文摘RP-3 jet fuel could be an alternative fuel for diesel engines.In this study,the injection characteristics of RP-3jet fuel under single and split injection strategies were investigated and compared with diesel fuel.The experimental results indicate that RP-3 jet fuel has slightly shorter injection delay time than diesel fuel,but this difference is negligible in actual engine operations.Further,although the lower density and viscosity of RP-3 jet fuel lead to higher volumetric injection rates and cycle-based injection quantities,the cycle-based injection mass and the mass injection rates at the stable injection stage of RP-3 jet fuel are close to or slightly lower than those of diesel fuel.Based on these experimental observations,it could be concluded that fuel physical properties are the secondary factor influencing the injection characteristics in both single and split injection strategies,as RP-3 jet fuel and diesel fuel are taken for comparison.

文摘In order to realize steady-state operation of the neutral beam injection(NBI) system with high beam energy,an accurate thermal analysis and a prediction about working conditions of heat-removal structures inside high-heat-flux(HHF) components in the system are key issues.In this paper,taking the HHF ion dump with swirl tubes in NBI system as an example,an accurate thermal dynamic simulation method based on computational fluid dynamics(CFD) and the finite volume method is presented to predict performance of the HHF component.In this simulation method,the Eulerian multiphase method together with some empirical corrections about the inter-phase transfer model and the wall heat flux partitioning model are considered to describe the subcooled boiling.The reliability of the proposed method is validated by an experimental example with subcooled boiling inside swirl tube.The proposed method provides an important tool for the refined thermal and flow dynamic analysis of HHF components,and can be extended to study the thermal design of other complex HHF engineering structures in a straightforward way.The simulation results also verify that the swirl tube is a promising heat removing structure for the HHF components of the NBI system.

The GIS design can now continue to the preliminary design stage. This paper gives an overall description of the requirements and implementation at the concept design level. The designs of the sub-systems according to its breakdown structure are discussed against the corresponding requirements.
文摘The paper describes a Diesel fuel injection process. Computer simulation was carried out together with measurement of the Common Rail accumulator fuel-injection system. The computer simulation enables the observation of the phenomena from rail pressure, being the input data for injection parameters calculations, to the injection rate. By means of computer simulation, the pressure values in specific sections of the injection nozzle may be computed, the needle lift, injection rate, total injected fuel, time lag from injector current to first evidence of injection process and other time-lags between various phases of the injection process. The injection rate provides input data for spray computer simulation. Measurements of injection and combustion were carried out within a transparent research engine. This engine is a single-cylinder transparent engine based on the AUDI V6 engine, equipped with a Bosch Common Rail Injection System. The comparison between the computed and measured injection parameters showed good matching.

文摘Pellet injection is an attractive technology for core-fueling and magnetohydrodynamic study in magnetic-conflnement fusion devices like tokamaks and stellarators.It can inject solid hydrogen/deuterium pellets into the plasma with deeper density deposition compared with other fueling methods,such as gas pufflng.A three-barrel H_(2)pellet injection system was installed on the J-TEXT tokamak and experiments were carried out.The pellets are formed in three barrels cooled by a cryocooler and compressor system at around 9 K,and are 0.8 mm/1 mm diameter and 0.8 mm length.The pellet is launched by helium propellant gas and injected from the lowfleld side of the plasma.The normal range of pellet speed is 210–310 m s^(-1)for different propellant gas pressures.Due to the three-barrel structure,the number of injected pellets can be adjusted between one and three.Pellets can be launched sequentially with arbitrary time intervals,which enables flexible applications.The results of the experiments show that pellet fueling efflciency can reach 50%.The energy conflnement time increased by about 7.5–10 ms after pellet injection.
文摘In this paper, the mathematical model of solenoid valve in the fuel injection system of gas engine is built. Simulation software Matlab/Simulink are employed to analyze the impact which the voltage, number of the coil turns and air gap width may produce to the open and close characteristics of the solenoid valve. The ideal response characteristics are got through the calculation. An optimal scheme which satisfies the operation requirements is put forward. The driving voltage and maintaining voltage are set as 90 V and 21 V;number of the coil turns is 30 N;air gap is determined as 0.6 mm;the opening and closing time are respectively 0.98 ms and 0.8 ms. This paper can be used as a reference for the design of the solenoid valve.
文摘Objective To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of a computer-controlled periodontal ligament (PDL) injection system to the local soft tissues as the primary technique in endodontic access to mandibular posterior teeth in patients with irreversible pulpitis. Methods A total of 162 Chinese patients who had been diagnosed with irreversible pulpitis in their mandibular posterior teeth without acute infection or inflammation in the periodontal tissues were enrolled in this clinical study. The patients were divided into 3 groups according to the position of the involved tooth: the premolar group (PM, z2=38), first molar group (FM, n=66), and second molar group (SM, n=58). All the patients received computer-controlled PDL injection with 4% articaine and 1 ' 100 000 epinephrine. Immediately after the injection, endodontic access was performed, and the degree of pain during the treatment was evaluated by the patients using Visual Analogue Scale for pain. The success rates were compared among the 3 groups. The responses of local soft tissues were evaluated 3-8 days and 3 weeks after the procedure. Results The overall success rate was 76.5%. There was a significant difference in success rates among the PM, FM, and SM groups (92.1%, 53.0%, 93.1%, respectively; 2 X =34.3, P〈0.01). Both the PM and SM groups showed higher success rates than that of the FM group (v=l, f=16.73, P〈0.01, v=l, Z = 4.5, X2 2 P〈0.01). No irreversible adverse effects on the periodontal soft tissues at the injection sites were observed in the follow-up visits in any of the groups. Conclusion The computer-controlled PDL injection system demonstrates both satisfactory anesthetic effects and safety in local soft tissues as primary anesthetic technique in endodontic access to the mandibular posterior teeth in patients with irreversible pulpitis.

文摘A compact torus injection system,KTX-CTI,has been developed for the planned injection experiments on the Keda Torus e Xperiment(KTX)reversed field pinch(RFP)device to investigate the physics and engineering issues associated with interaction between a compact torus(CT)and RFP.The key interests include fueling directly into the reactor center,confinement improvement,and the injection of momentum and helicity into the RFP discharges.The CT velocity and mass have been measured using a multichannel optical fiber interferometer,and for the first time the time evolution of the CT density profile during CT propagation is obtained.The effects of discharge parameters on the number of injected particles,CT velocity and CT density have been characterized:the maximum hydrogen CT plasma mass,m,CTis 50μg,corresponding to 30%of the mass in a typical KTX plasma;the CT velocity exceeds 120 km s-1.It is observed for the first time that multiple CTs can be produced and emitted during a very short period(<100μs)in one discharge,which is significant for the future study of repetitive CT injection,even with an ultra-high frequency.

文摘Neutral Beam Injection (NBI) is an effective way to improve the efficiency of toka mak heating system. This article primarily introduces a work on the pressure distribution inside the tank of NBI heating system, especially inside the neutralizer, which is got by selecting a proper mathematical model and constructing a series of rational calculating formulas on pressure distribution. Furthermore, we simulate the pressure distribution by the Monte Carlo method. Comparing the result of simulation with that of theoretical calculation, we find that both the results are very close each other, showing their mutual validity.

文摘Considering the deficiency of the means for confirming the attribution of fault redundancy in the re-search of Automatic Testing System(ATS) , a fault-injection system has been proposed to study fault redundancyof automatic testing system through compurison. By means of a fault-imbeded environmental simulation, thefaults injected at the input level of the software are under test. These faults may induce inherent failure mode,thus bringing about unexpected output, and the anticipated goal of the test is attained. The fault injection con-sists of voltage signal generator, current signal generator and rear drive circuit which are specially developed,and the ATS can work regularly by means of software simulation. The experimental results indicate that the faultinjection system can find the deficiency of the automatic testing software, and identify the preference of fault re-dundancy. On the other hand, some soft deficiency never exposed before can be identified by analyzing the tes-ting results.
文摘Microbial activity is the cause of a variety of problems in water injection systems, e.g., microbial corrosion, plugging, and biofouling. Efficient monitoring of Saudi Aramco’s vast water injection system requires the development of online and automated technologies for monitoring microbial activities in the system. A previous system review and technology screening has identified five single-analyte strategies [1], which were evaluated in this study with a laboratory-scale setup to determine their applicability for automated determination of microbial activity in the injection water system. Four of the five single-analyte measuring principles tested in the laboratory setup were deemed less suitable for automation and/or reliable for use in the detection of microbial activity in the company injection water system. These four principles were: luminescence assay for adenosine-5’-triphosphate (ATP), detection and electrochemical measurements of H<sub>2</sub>S, determination of pH by electrochemical sensor, and measurement of oxidation-reduction potential (ORP). The strategy of staining cells with fluorescent DNA dyes, followed by quantification of fluorescence signals, was identified to hold, with proper optimization of DNA staining and fluorescence detection, a very promising potential for integration in automated, online sensors for microbial activity in the injection water system.

文摘Concerns about environmental pollution and energy shortages have increased worldwide. One approach to reduce CO2 emissions from gasoline engines is to achieve stratified charge combustion with various injection ratios using port fuel injection (PFI) and direct injection. The combustion and emission characteristics of a 4-valve direct injection spark ignition (DISI) engine equipped with a dual injection system were investigated while the injection ratio was varied. When the direct injection ratio increased, the lean limit A/F was extended. This suggests that the dual injection gasoline engine with both PFI and direct injection can meet severe vehicle emission and fuel economy requirements. The dual injection system had higher combustion pressure than that of either a conventional or direct injection systems. Therefore, the engine power of a dual injection DISI engine would be higher than that of a single injection DISI engine. However, NOx emissions increased compared with the emission levels in both PFI and DISI systems.

文摘A software fault injection system SFIS is designed,which consists of the target system plus a fault injector,fault library,workload,data collector,and data analyzer. A serial communication mechanism is adopted to simulate the factual work environment. Then a fault model is built for single particle event,which can be denoted as FM=(FL,FT). FL stands for fault location,and FT stands for fault type. The fault model supports three temporal faults: transient,intermittent,and permanent. During the experiments implemented by SFIS,the software interruption method is adopted to inject transient faults,and step trace method is adopted to inject permanent faults into the target system. The experiment results indicate that for the injected transient code segment faults,2.8 % of them do not affect the program output,80.1% of them are detected by the built-in error detection in the system,and 17.1% of them are not detected by fault detection mechanism. The experiment results verify the validity of the fault injection method.
文摘A medical device of micro-jet injection for drug delivery is described in this paper. The device is powered by a Lorentz force driver (or voice coil motor, VCM) and is able to perform pulsed injection through controlling the direction of the current passing through the device. The driving force and the resulting injection pressure are also controllable through control of the current intensity of the VCM. A physical model was established by combining the existing jet injection model with the relationship of the driving force obtained from a finite-element-method (FEM) analysis, and was verified by experimental measurements. The numerical calculation of the physical model reveals the relationship between the injection pressure and the current intensity of VCM under system conditions. In normal cases, the injection dose can be varied. Thus the relationship between the current intensity of VCM and the dose value was numerically obtained under the condition for the maximum injection pressure to be above a threshold value. These results can be used for optimization of the device.
