The Australian story of farmer innovation in Conservation Agriculture reveals a complex interplay of policy,economics,science,and farming.Farmer experimentation with Conservation Agriculture began in the 1960’s and h...The Australian story of farmer innovation in Conservation Agriculture reveals a complex interplay of policy,economics,science,and farming.Farmer experimentation with Conservation Agriculture began in the 1960’s and has continued to this day where around 80%-90%of Australia’s 23.5 million hectares of winter crops are now grown using Conservation Agriculture principles.This remarkable achievement is the result of both sustained investment in agricultural research and development and farmer innovation.Australian economic settings and science policies have encouraged and facilitated farmer participation in the Conservation Agricultural innovation system.Australian farmers have embraced Conservation Agriculture because it has met their needs,maintaining productivity and profitability in the face of declining terms of trade,and sustainably intensifying production with enhanced environmental outcomes.Drawing on individual farmer case studies,the specific strengths of farmer innovation are identified and the enabling conditions necessary for farmer innovation to flourish are discussed.展开更多
Objective:The cultivation of the innovation ability and scientific research is one of the nursing learning objectives for undergraduate students.To explore the method and effect of training system of scientific resear...Objective:The cultivation of the innovation ability and scientific research is one of the nursing learning objectives for undergraduate students.To explore the method and effect of training system of scientific research innovation ability of nursing undergraduates based on“3332”.Methods:Three course learning modules are constructed:stage-based course learning module,systematic project practice training module and comprehensive practice training module.A practical training platform for scientific research innovation projects is built,and undergraduate scientific research innovation ability training is carried out from both in-class and out-of-class lines.Results:Since 2017,the students have obtained 7 national innovation and entrepreneurship training programs,52 university-level undergraduate scientific research projects,published more than 10 academic papers,and obtained 2 patent authorization.Conclusions:The training system of scientific research innovation ability of nursing undergraduates based on“3332”is conducive to the development of scientific research innovation ability of nursing students,and to cultivate nursing talents who can adapt to the development of the new era and have better post competence.展开更多
Antibacterial resistance is a global health threat that requires further concrete action on the part of all countries.In this context,one of the biggest concerns is whether enough new antibacterial drugs are being dis...Antibacterial resistance is a global health threat that requires further concrete action on the part of all countries.In this context,one of the biggest concerns is whether enough new antibacterial drugs are being discovered and developed.Although several high-quality reviews on clinical antibacterial drug pipelines from a global perspective were published recently,none provides comprehensive information on original antibacterial drugs at clinical stages in China.In this review,we summarize the latest progress of novel antibacterial drugs approved for marketing and under clinical evaluation in China since 2019.Information was obtained by consulting official websites,searching commercial databases,retrieving literature,asking personnel from institutions or companies,and other means,and a considerable part of the data covered here has not been included in other reviews.As of June 30,2023,a total of 20 antibacterial projects from 17 Chinese pharmaceutical companies or developers were identified and updated.Among them,two new antibacterial drugs that belong to traditional antibiotic classes were approved by the National Medical Products Administration(NMPA)in China in 2019 and 2021,respectively,and 18 antibacterial agents are in clinical development,with one under regulatory evaluation,five in phase-3,six in phase-2,and six in phase-1.Most of the clinical candidates are new analogs or monocomponents of traditional antibacterial pharmacophore types,including two dual-acting hybrid antibiotics and a recombinant antibacterial protein.Overall,despite there being 17 antibacterial clinical candidates,our analysis indicates that there are still relatively few clinically differentiated antibacterial agents in stages of clinical development in China.Hopefully,Chinese pharmaceutical companies and institutions will develop more innovative and clinically differentiated candidates with good market potential in the future research and development(R&D)of original antibacterial drugs.展开更多
The pursuit of improved quality of life standards has significantly influenced the contemporary mining model in the 21st century.This era is witnessing an unprecedented transformation driven by pressing concerns relat...The pursuit of improved quality of life standards has significantly influenced the contemporary mining model in the 21st century.This era is witnessing an unprecedented transformation driven by pressing concerns related to sustainability,climate change,the just energy transition,dynamic operating environments,and complex social challenges.Such transitions present both opportunities and obstacles.The aim of this study is to provide an extensive literature review on energy transition to identify the challenges and strategies associated with navigating transformations in energy systems.Understanding these transformations is particularly critical in the face of the severe consequences of global warming,where an accelerated energy transition is viewed as a universal remedy.Adopting a socio-technological systems perspective,specifically through the application of Actor Network Theory(ANT),this research provides a theoretical foundation while categorising challenges into five distinct domains and outlining strategies across these different dimensions.These insights are specifically tailored for emerging market countries to effectively navigate energy transition while fostering the development of resilient societies.Furthermore,our findings highlight that energy transition encompasses more than a mere technological shift;it entails fundamental changes in various systemic socio-economic imperatives.Through focusing on the role of social structures in transitions,this study makes a significant and innovative contribution to ANT,which has historically been criticised for its limited acknowledgement of social structures.Consequently,we propose an emerging market energy transition framework,which not only addresses technological aspects,but also integrates social considerations.This framework paves the way for future research and exploration of energy transition dynamics.The outcomes of this study offer valuable insights to policymakers,researchers,and practitioners engaged in the mining industry,enabling them to comprehend the multifaceted challenges involved and providing practical strategies for effective resolution.Through incorporating the social dimension into the analysis,we enhance the understanding of the complex nature of energy system transformations,facilitating a more holistic approach towards achieving sustainable and resilient energy transitions in emerging markets and beyond.展开更多
