Internet buzzwords,as distinct forms of language,consist of short sentences yet carry rich meanings and spread rapidly.To better study this intriguing and unique linguistic phenomenon,this paper employed conceptual integration theory for its powerful explanatory capabilities to analyze the origins,composition,and emergence of meanings of internet buzzwords over the past four years.These 40 internet buzzwords can be categorized into five types:semantic derivation,generalization,abbreviation,metonymy,and compounding.Furthermore,this paper conducted cognitive analysis from different conceptual integration network perspectives,elucidating specific cognitive operations involved in the construction of meanings and revealing the emergence process of layered meanings in recent internet buzzwords over the past four years. 展开更多

Objective To analyze the development of“internet plus medical treatment”and to explore advantages.Methods The literature of“internet plus medical treatment”was systematically combed and analyzed.Results and Conclusion After exploring the status quo of“internet plus hospitals”,smart pharmacy and web-assisted health management in China,we find that there are some problems in the medical service at present,such as the imperfect laws and regulations,the hidden dangers of information security and the obstacles of medical insurance payment.Therefore,we propose that the development of web-assisted medical service should be led by the government and relevant policies must be improved.Then,self-regulation should be strengthened,and industry standards should be enhanced.Three suggestions are made to improve medical insurance payment and benefit both hospitals and patients,which can provide reference for promoting the development of“internet plus medical treatment”in China. 展开更多

Therefore, it is necessary to study the modeling of multi-energy flow coupling, the power flow analysis, optimization and control method of heterogeneous energy flow, which plays the role of multi-energy flow synergy to avoid the adverse effects of coupling. This paper seeks to present the most important results of a field study on the role of using the Internet in enhancing the journalistic assignments in the Kingdom of Bahrain,in accelerating the production and dissemination of news,and in creating new opportunities for communication and interaction with the public.The study also examines Bahraini journalists’perceptions of the changes in their journalistic practice and the positive and negative effects of the Internet on the journalist’s job.In addition,the study examines the possible changes that the Internet makes in relation to the values and ethics of the press.The results showed that the use of the Internet in the press had a positive impact on journalistic practice.Bahraini journalists tend to adopt and use it in their day-to-day work,although they are cautious about the unreliability of news and information on the Internet,their awareness of increased accountability before the public,and their belief in the negative role that the Internet can play in sacrificing accuracy for speed. 展开更多

Due to their simple hardware,sensor nodes in IoT are vulnerable to attack,leading to data routing blockages or malicious tampering,which significantly disrupts secure data collection.An Intelligent Active Probing and Trace-back Scheme for IoT Anomaly Detection(APTAD)is proposed to collect integrated IoT data by recruiting Mobile Edge Users(MEUs).(a)An intelligent unsupervised learning approach is used to identify anomalous data from the collected data by MEUs and help to identify anomalous nodes.(b)Recruit MEUs to trace back and propose a series of trust calculation methods to determine the trust of nodes.(c)The last,the number of active detection packets and detection paths are designed,so as to accurately identify the trust of nodes in IoT at the minimum cost of the network.A large number of experimental results show that the recruiting cost and average anomaly detection time are reduced by 6.5 times and 34.33%respectively,while the accuracy of trust identification is improved by 20%. 展开更多

The ubiquitous deployment and restricted consumption are the requirements restricting the development of Internet of Things.Thus,a promising technology named Internet of Lamps(Io L)is discussed in this paper to address these challenges.Compared with other communication networks,the remarkable advantage of Io L is that it can make full use of the existing lighting networks with sufficient power supply.The lamps can be connected to the Internet through wired power line communication and/or wireless communication,while the integration of integrated sensing,hybrid interconnection,and intelligent illumination is realized.In this paper,the Io L is discussed from three aspects including sensing layer,network layer,and application layer,realizing the comprehensive upgrade based on the conventional communication and illumination systems.Meanwhile,several novel technologies of Io L are discussed based on the requirements of sensing,communication,and control,which have put forward practical solutions to the issues faced by Io L.Moreover,the challenges and opportunities for Io L are highlighted from various parts of the system structure,so as to provide future insights and potential trends for researchers in this field. 展开更多

In this paper,the Web-based integration methodology and framework have been developed to facilitate collabora- tive and concurrent engineering design in distributed manufacturing environments.The distributed concurrent engineering and co- design are discussed as key components in the mechanism.The related integration system is presented,which includes four function- al modules:co-design,Web-based visualization,manufacturing analysis and look-up service.It can be used for a design team geo- graphically distributed to organize a collaborative and concurrent engineering design effectively.In particular,the collaborative mechanism incorporated with Java-based and Internet-enabled technologies can generate extended strategies for design and planning. A future smart grid must fulfill the vision of the Energy Internet in which millions of people produce their own energy from renewables in their homes, offices, and factories and share it with each other. Electric vehicles and local energy storage will be widely deployed. Internet technology will be utilized to transform the power grid into an energysharing inter-grid. To prepare for the future, a smart grid with intelligent periphery, or smart GRIP, is proposed. The building blocks of GRIP architecture are called clusters and include an energy-management system (EMS)-controlled transmission grid in the core and distribution grids, micro-grids, and smart buildings and homes on the periphery; all of which are hierarchically structured. The layered architecture of GRIP allows a seamless transition from the present to the future and plug-and-play interoperability. The basic functions of a cluster consist of (1) dispatch, (2) smoothing, and (3) mitigation. A risk-limiting dispatch methodology is presented; a new device, called the electric spring, is developed for smoothing out fluctuations in periphery clusters; and means to mitigate failures are discussed. 展开更多

Chaining watermark is an effective way to verify the integrity of streaming data in wireless network environment,especially in resource-constrained sensor networks,such as the perception layer of Internet of Things applications.However,in all existing single chaining watermark schemes,how to ensure the synchronization between the data sender and the receiver is still an unsolved problem.Once the synchronization points are attacked by the adversary,existing data integrity authentication schemes are difficult to work properly,and the false negative rate might be up to 50 percent.And the additional fixed group delimiters not only increase the data size,but are also easily detected by adversaries.In this paper,we propose an effective dual-chaining watermark scheme,called DCW,for data integrity protection in smart campus IoT applications.The proposed DCW scheme has the following three characteristics:(1)In order to authenticate the integrity of the data,fragile watermarks are generated and embedded into the data in a chaining way using dynamic grouping;(2)Instead of additional fixed group delimiters,chained watermark delimiters are proposed to synchronize the both transmission sides in case of the synchronization points are tampered;(3)To achieve lossless integrity authentication,a reversible watermarking technique is applied.The experimental results and security analysis can prove that the proposed DCW scheme is able to effectively authenticate the integrity of the data with free distortion at low cost in our smart meteorological Internet of Things system. 展开更多

XML (extensible Markup Language) is widely accepted as powerful data representation standard for electronic documents, so a security mechanism for XML documents must be provided in the first place to secure electronic commerce over Internet. In this paper the authors design and implement a secure framework that provides XML signature function, XML Element-wise Encryption function, smart card based crypto API library and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) security functions to achieve confidentiality, integrity, message authentication, and/or signer authentication services for XML documents and existing non-XML documents that are exchanged by Internet for E-commerce application. 展开更多

To realize the ultimate vision of Internet of Things(IoT),only depending on terrestrial network is far from enough.As a supplement and extension of terrestrial network,satellite network can offer powerful support to realize the depth and breadth of the coverage.However,existing satellite networks are usually designed for particular purposes.Moreover,traditional satellite networks and terrestrial networks are developed and operated separately,consequently they cannot meet the need of network flexibility required by IoT.In this paper,a space-terrestrial architecture is conceived for constructing a spaceterrestrial based IoT(ST-IoT) system.Additionally,a reliable identification procedure,an integrated access and communication procedure,as well as a clustering cooperative transmission strategy are also presented. 展开更多
