Devolatilization of high viscous fluids with high gravity technology

Volatile organic compounds(VOCs)are generally toxic and harmful substances that can cause health and environmental problems.The removal of VOCs from polymers has become a key problem.The effective devolatilization to remove VOCs from high viscous fluids such as polymer is necessary and is of great importance.In this study,the devolatilization effect of a rotating packed bed(RPB)was studied by using polydimethylsiloxane as the viscous fluid and acetone as the VOC.The devolatilization rate and liquid phase volume(KLa)have been evaluated.The results indicated that the optimum conditions were the high-gravity factor of 60,liquid flow rate of 10 L·h^(-1),and vacuum degree of 0.077 MPa.The dimensionless correlation of KLa was established,and the deviations between predicted and experimental values were less than±28%.The high-gravity technology will result in lower mass transfer resistance in the devolatilization process,enhance the mass transfer process of acetone,and improve the removal effect of acetone.This work provides a promising path for the removal of volatiles from polymers in combination with high-gravity technology.It can provide the basis for the application of RPB in viscous fluids. 展开更多

With the beginning of the information systems’ spreading, people started thinking about using them for making business decisions. Computer technology solutions, such as the Decision Support System, make the decision-making process less complex and simpler for problem-solving. In order to make a high-quality business decision, managers need to have a great deal of appropriate information. Nonetheless, this complicates the process of making appropriate decisions. In a situation like that, the possibility of using DSS is quite logical. The aim of this paper is to find out the intended use of DSS for medium and large business organizations in USA by applying the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). Different models were developed in order to understand and predict the use of information systems, but the information systems community mostly used TAM to ensure this issue. The purpose of the research model is to determine the elements of analysis that contribute to these results. The sample for the research consisted of the target group that was supposed to have completed an online questionnaire about the manager’s use of DSS in medium and large American companies. The information obtained from the questionnaires was analyzed through the SPSS statistical software. The research has indicated that, this is primarily used due to a significant level of Perceived usefulness and For the Perceived ease of use. 展开更多

After the “14th Five-Year Plan”, VOCs, instead of SO2, became one of the five indicators of China’s atmospheric governance. As a result, the government’s efforts to control VOCs have increased significantly. VOCs governance mustn’t be delayed. This paper provides a comprehensive summary and analysis of VOCs governance, covering the classification of VOCs, analysis of VOC governance technology (with a focus on end-of-pipe governance technology), national policy regulations, current governance shortcomings, and a forward-looking perspective on the future direction of VOCs governance, emphasizing healthy and sustainable development. 展开更多

This research copes to study the relationship between cultural variables of organization,organizational climate,ability of information technology,motivation work to satisfaction of bank employees’performance and activity of BPD in East Kalimantan.This research addressed to analyze the cultural variable of organization,the ability of information technology,motivation and satisfaction.This research of the survey is done by using the approach of pad cross sectional study of 13 sub-provinces and town bank of BPD in East Kalimantan.Technique intake of the sample depends on random proportional sampling.Measurement is conducted with structural equation modeling(SEM)pass courses of AMOS 5 and 150 samples taken by bank employees of BPD in East Kalimantan.Result of examination with technique of SEM,indicated that the model has developed degree of axle.According to research data at moderating storey,result of evaluation of goodness of fit indices indicates result of the moderating to the overalls of constructs in the model.Partially developed constructs evaluate good fit of goodness.In general,all the exogenous variables(cultural of organization,the ability of information technology,and organizational climate)have significant effect on motivation and satisfaction of bank activity of BPD in East Kalimantan.Some hypotheses raised in this research can be accepted.Organizational culture has a significant effect on motivation work employees and satisfaction of activity,and ability of information technology has a significant effect on motivation and satisfaction of activity,while organizational climate does not. 展开更多

Based on the definition of technology innovation of agricultural leading enterprises by domestic and foreign experts and scholars,technology innovation of agricultural enterprises is a process of new market increment,which uses new knowledge,technology,process and production mode,produces new products,offers new services and realizes commercialization. Characteristics of agricultural technology innovation are introduced,such as obvious regionality,relatively high risk,long-term periodicity and public attribute. Predicament for technology innovation of leading enterprises is analyzed,such as technical constraints,financial constraints and personnel constraints. Technological Innovation Mode can be classified into three modes of independent innovation,imitative innovation and cooperative innovation by the method of technology innovation. Among them,since there are some defects in the technology innovation process,independent innovation and imitative innovation are generally not used for the innovation of agricultural enterprises. Cooperative Innovation Mode can rely on foreign aid,can realize complementary advantages and achievement sharing,and can be widely applied in the agricultural innovation enterprise. Virtual organization in cooperation innovation mode is described,which makes up for technology,capital and human resources barriers in the process of agricultural enterprise innovation. Modular construction as an innovativemethod aids the construction industry in transforming to off-site construction production with high efficiency and environmental friendliness.Despite the obvious advantages,the uptake of modular construction is not booming as expected.However,previous studies have investigated and summarized the barriers to the adoption ofmodular construction.In this research,a Large-ScaleGroupDecisionMaking(LSGDM)-based analysis is first made of the severity of barriers to modular construction adoption from the perspective of construction stakeholders.In addition,the Technology-Organization-Environment(TOE)framework is utilized to identify the barriers based on three contexts(technology,organization,and environment).The Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution(TOPSIS)and LSGDM models are both implemented for the first time to analyze the severity of the barriers to modular adoption based on questionnaire results from internal and external stakeholders in an organization.Finally,in this research,in-depth insights into the severity of barriers are gained,providing a reference for construction organizations to manage modular adoption. 展开更多

The paper elaborates the features and superiority of applying multimedia technology to aquatic organisms in a Science and Life Technology course. The augmented reality application of multimedia technology in aquatic organisms’ instruction has its own features, teaching information capacity, interactive user interface. The paper concludes the superiority of Unity and Vuforia AR instruction from five perspectives;meanwhile, the paper elaborates its disadvantages. An AR-based instruction attitude questionnaire was conducted at the end of the experiment to obtain learners’ perspectives of the system. Learners in AR approach demonstrate higher motivation and concentrate their attention on the learning tasks. Learners showed more positive attitude in willingness to use the AR-based instruction to improve learning interests. This study provided insights for better understanding the design, theory and practice of e-learning through augmented reality technology. 展开更多

Our study group has developed a unique combined ters from the industries of dyestuff, pharmaceutical, chemical biological technology to treat high-strength organic wastewaengineering and zymolysis by using the principles of anaerobic ecological niche and bio-phase separation. The study obtained five national invention patents and eight patent equipments. This technology contains four kernel processes - two-phase anaerobic-aerobic process, hydrolysis-acidification-oxidation process, UASBAF-oxidation process, and internal cycling-hydrolysis-oxidation process. Fifteen pilot projects were accomplished in the basins of Tai Lake, Huai River, Liao River and Songhua River, and their total capital investment reached 185.214 million Yuan (RMB). Compared to conventional wastewater treatment technology, the innovative technology is more costeffective for high-strength organic wastewater treatment, can save capital investment by 15% - 30%, lessen land usage by 20% to 40% and decrease the operating cost by 10% to 25%. The operating cost of treatment per cubic meter industrial wastewater could be below 0.6 to 1.4 Yuan (RMB). 展开更多

Based on the literature review of prospective studies conducted in economic clusters in Portugal, the organizational innovation competencies that raised from the adoption of emerging technologies were investigated and identified: internet, mobile technologies, artificial intelligence, big data, robotics, and nanotechnologies. The Best Value Approach(BVA)is a new project delivery method that has been developed at Arizona State University.It has been documented to increase performance and value on projects by the identification and utilization of expertise instead of management,direction,and control(MDC).It utilizes perfomance information that is simple,observable,and countable.It allows the expert vendor to know what the client proj-ect requires,why they can achieve success and what they will do before they do it.The tracking of the project cost and time deviation requires an initial plan and method to tack it.Preliminary results of the BVA have shown a 90%decrease in effort by client organizations,98%customed satisfaction and has led to 1%vendor cost and time deviation rate.It ap-plies to construction,services/TT projects,and any long-term service.In 2014,a large private organization having dificulty delivering information technology(T)and construction/facility services identified the BVA as a potential solution.This paper will summarize a major IT Enterprise Resource Planming case study that the large private organization used the BVA on and identify the full results. 展开更多
