Cultural landscape is a social natural process under which people actively participate in thinking,feeling,and acting.On this basis,their connection with a certain part of the environment in turn affects people’s per...Cultural landscape is a social natural process under which people actively participate in thinking,feeling,and acting.On this basis,their connection with a certain part of the environment in turn affects people’s perception of the world and the products of their actions.Trails is a representative and complex practice of integrating nature into society and transforming it into a mixed entity.However,the dynamic and diverse relationships of cultural landscapes represented by this interactive process have not been well interpreted in landscape research.The research first discusses the conceptualization and value theory of cultural landscape,and develops the methodology of cultural landscape interaction process research combining typology and Network theory.Taking the trails spontaneously formed around the Zhengqi Pavilion of Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum in Nanjing as an example,this paper discusses the interaction process of trails as a cultural landscape.Based on the analysis results,we obtained the dynamic characteristics of cultural landscapes by treating trails as a network,while obtaining the value expression created by typology.展开更多

Considering dynamical disease spreading network consisting of moving individuals,a new double-layer network is constructed,one where the information dissemination process takes place and the other where the dynamics o...Considering dynamical disease spreading network consisting of moving individuals,a new double-layer network is constructed,one where the information dissemination process takes place and the other where the dynamics of disease spreading evolves.On the basis of Markov chains theory,a new model characterizing the coupled dynamics between information dissemination and disease spreading in populations of moving agents is established and corresponding state probability equations are formulated to describe the probability in each state of every node at each moment.Monte Carlo simulations are performed to characterize the interaction process between information and disease spreading and investigate factors that influence spreading dynamics.Simulation results show that the increasing of information transmission rate can reduce the scale of disease spreading in some degree.Shortening infection period and strengthening consciousness for self-protection by decreasing individual’s scope of activity both can effectively reduce the final refractory density for the disease but have less effect on the information dissemination.In addition,the increasing of vaccination rate or decreasing of long-range travel can also reduce the scale of disease spreading.展开更多

The feature setup generation and machining sequence can be determined automatically in this system. The set of knowledge-based rules for process planning and manufacturability evaluation is provided and can be shared by all stages of full product life-cycle. An approach for MTAD (Multiple Tool Axis Direction) feature setup generation is presented and the appropriate Tool Axis Direction(TAD) is chosen to minimize the total setup numbers of a part. The precise determination of the specific composition of protein complexes, especially using scalable and high-throughput methods, represents a systematic approach toward revealing particular cellular biological functions. In this regard, the direct profiling protein-protein interactions (PPIs) represent an efficient way to dissect functional pathways for revealing novel protein functions. In this review, we illustrate the technological evolution for the large-scale and precise identification of PPIs toward higher physiologically relevant accuracy. These techniques aim at improving the efficiency of complex pull-down, the signal specificity and accuracy in distinguishing specific PPIs, and the accuracy of identifying physiological relevant PPIs. A newly developed streamline proteomic approach for mapping the binary relationship of PPIs in a protein complex is introduced.展开更多
Antarctica plays a key role in global energy balance and sea level change.It has been conventionally viewed as a whole ice body with high albedo in General Circulation Models or Regional Climate Models and the differe...Antarctica plays a key role in global energy balance and sea level change.It has been conventionally viewed as a whole ice body with high albedo in General Circulation Models or Regional Climate Models and the differences of land cover has usually been overlooked.Land cover in Antarctica is one of the most important drivers of changes in the Earth system.Detailed land cover information over the Antarctic region is necessary as spatial resolution improves in land process models.However,there is a lack of complete Antarctic land cover dataset derived from a consistent data source.To fill this data gap,we have produced a database named Antarctic Land Cover Database for the Year 2000(AntarcticaLC2000) using Landsat Enhanced Thematic Mapper Plus(ETM+) data acquired around 2000 and Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectrometer(MODIS) images acquired in the austral summer of 2003/2004 according to the criteria for the 1:100000-scale.Three land cover types were included in this map,separately,ice-free rocks,blue ice,and snow/firn.This classification legend was determined based on a review of the land cover systems in Antarctica(LCCSA) and an analysis of different land surface types and the potential of satellite data.Image classification was conducted through a combined usage of computer-aided and manual interpretation methods.A total of 4067 validation sample units were collected through visual interpretation in a stratified random sampling manner.An overall accuracy of 92.3%and the Kappa coefficient of 0.836 were achieved.Results show that the areas and percentages of ice-free rocks,blue ice,and snow/firn are 73268.81 km2(0.537%),225937.26 km2(1.656%),and 13345460.41 km2(97.807%),respectively.The comparisons with other different data proved a higher accuracy of our product and a more advantageous data quality.These indicate that AntarcticaLC2000,the new land cover dataset for Antarctica entirely derived from satellite data,is a reliable product for a broad spectrum of applications.展开更多
