Investigation and analysis of leveling deformation anomaly at Daixian station in Shanxi

The leveling measurements at Daixian station appeared increasing trend since March 25, 2013, which is credible, showing normal fault activity. According to the environmental survey, it contains some interference factors： first, the wind is big when the leveling measures in the afternoon, which has certain influence on the measurement results, but the impact is random and should be near the base value and not appear a trend. Second, the point BM3 was maintained during Sep. to Oct. in 2012 and occurred cracks in 2013, showing that the poor stability around the point. In addition, the change of recorded program is only to change the way of data record and can not affect the observation results during the same period.

On the Perfection of Legislation on Property Rights Protection of Criminal Suspects in Investigation Process

The property rights of a criminal suspect are an important component of human rights,but,unfortunately,may be restrained by factors in the investigation process like judicial stereotypes,legal regulations,and a lack of initiative on the part of the rights holder,which,from time to time,may result in infringements of such rights.Thus it is necessary for us to probe into the reasons why such infringements occur and sort out the contents about enhancing property rights protection of criminal suspects in the amendment to Criminal Procedure Law.To counter the existing disregard for property rights protection of criminal suspects and its legislative deficiency,judicial reform must be carried out as to three aspects:procedural improvement,institutional establishment,and judicial transformation property rights ideas in criminal proceedings.

Legal Control over Big Data Criminal Investigation

The rapid growth of big data technology has become a major trend affecting the pattern of world development.Big data criminal investigation is a new type of criminal detection used extensively in the course of police practice at home and abroad.Its emergence indicates a trend in criminal justice towards ensuring security at the expense of privacy and exchanging rights for information.Big data criminal investigation highlights the backwardness and dysfunction of the traditional framework of legal norms,evident in doubts about the legal attributes of such investigation and the obvious limitations of techniques for distinguishing data content from metadata.This leaves a vacuum in the regulation of investigative power at the preliminary stage of investigation.Big data criminal investigation itself is a doubleedge sword;in order to forestall the possible abuses it may entail in terms of deep and broad interventions in basic civil rights,big data criminal investigation should be brought under the necessary legal control.We therefore propose adopting a dual regulatory approach comprising investigative and data norms,selectively adopting the traditional normative framework of the principle of legality and the principle of proportionality,and at the same time supplementing it with other legal principles and mechanisms concerning the protection of personal information and data.

Investigation on method for measuring dynamic shear modulus of underwater acoustic structure materials

A new method is described to measure the dynamic shear modulus of underwater acoustic structure materials in a small anechoic water tank by using a broadband parametric source, a precise coordinate installation and techniques of signal processing in the frequency range of 20 kHz - 100 kHz. The typical size of material samples is 500×500 mm2. Basic principles, experiment installation and measured results are also presented
