The Path and Value of Integrating Ecological Aesthetic Education into the Teaching of Environmental Art Design Major

In the changing environment of rapid technological development,the country pays more attention to the field of education.In the process of daily education and teaching,it is also necessary to focus on the implementation of ecological aesthetic education for students and its integration into the teaching of other subjects.The major of environmental art design is a professional discipline that scientifically and rationally solves the coordinated development of man and nature at this stage.Establishing a close connection between the two is an important part of the education and teaching process of colleges and universities at this stage.Based on this,this article conducts an in-depth exploration and analysis of the teaching plan for integrating ecological aesthetic education into environmental art design teaching.Combining with the actual situation,abundant resources,etc.,this paper provides new development directions and concepts for the construction of ecological aesthetic education,and effectively improves the quality and efficiency of classroom teaching.

Application of Aesthetic Value of the World Modern Garden City and Exploration & Design of Its Artistic Conception——Using Chengdu City as a Case Study

This study explored the origin and development of modern garden city,by integrating concepts of world modern garden city and characteristics of Chengdu cultures,analyzed the application of its aesthetic value and the design of its artistic conception.It was found that Chengdu City had high aesthetic value such as a large area of green spaces and unique recreational cultures,as well as a great potential of unifying idyllic images and natural cultures.To design Chengdu into a world modern garden city,the planning of its urban green space system should be taken as the foundation,"one group and three districts" as the construction system,urban folk cultures,logistics and traffic,information and other such networks as the support to achieve the "beauty of nature,social equity and urban-rural integration".

Application of Blank Symbols in Japanese Architecture and Indoor Designs

A symbol is an expression of meaning,while blank symbols express special meanings.By focusing on the application of blank symbols in Japanese architecture and indoor designs,we analyzed the aesthetic principles in Japanese architecture and indoor designs from the perspective of semiotics,such as“Kongji,”“Emptiness,”and“Dying out,”and their minimalist and pure design concepts.Traditional Chinese culture was also further explored,especially the profound influence of the“Chan sect”and the philosophy of“unity of heaven and mankind”on Japanese architecture and designs.This study aims to facilitate the coexistence and mutual appreciation of Chinese and Japanese architectural designs.

Reflecting on the Legacy of Kevin Lynch’s Cognitive Approach to City Design through Italian Didactic Experiences

In Italy, the writings of Kevin Lynch (1918-1984) have had great influence. However, if The Image of the City (1960, trans. 1964) enjoyed a prolonged success, other texts attracted a fluctuating attention. The reasons for this variable interest help reflect on the current usability of Lynch’s lesson: the relevance given to social perception;the need to give voice to citizens’ needs;a performance approach to the project as a participatory process. The ability to stimulate a reflective attitude explains why, in Italy, Lynch’s legacy has found its major expression in teaching. Recent experiences at the Universities of Rome and Trieste – also suggested by the Lynch’s centennial – show how his texts still constitute a reference to approach urban analysis and design, being completely involved in the physical perception of the places and listening to the inhabitants’ stories. Didactic activities highlight further exploitation of Lynch’s theory in terms of: the importance of learning by interaction;a better understanding of urban space and social practices;the drawing of projects from mental maps. Nonetheless, when working in the historical parts of Italian cities, the character and uses of urban spaces urge us to adjust Lynch’s categories, thus, in fact, confirming their critical capacity and timeliness.

Office Furniture Design for Wheelchair User

There are an estimated 1.19 million wheelchair users in Spain. People use wheelchairs for a variety of reasons, the most common one is paralysis from spinal cord injuries. Current estimates indicate there are around 504,000 people alive in Spain with spinal cord injuries. Among other reasons for using wheelchairs are： fatigue from multiple sclerosis, muscle weakness from muscular dystrophy, lower limb spasticity from cerebral palsy, and missing limbs due to amputation. People who use wheelchairs may encounter a variety of obstacles at their workstations depending on their limitations. Some possible accommodations could be adjustable height desk or table for a person who cannot work comfortably at an existing desk, accessible filing system or office supplies, and frequently used materials on most accessible shelves or drawers for a person who cannot reach upper and lower shelves and drawers. This paper presents the graphical design of a workstation for wheelchair users, in this case, technical, anthropometric, ergonomic, aesthetics and scientists aspects have been analyzed. The design of composite structure conduct to explicit safety constraints applied to office furniture requirements kept continuously current and updated as part of innovation. Finally, results are showed in a three-dimensional model.

In this paper, we conduct research on the fusion of the Guangxi MiaoJin and modem arts and crafts design from the perspectives of aesthetic and the cultural inheritance. Primary Research on Emergency Self-Rescue Furniture Design for Natural Disasters

In recent years, a large number of natural disasters happened in China, which caused heavy casualties, property losses and destruction of social order. Firstly, the background of earthquake disasters occurred recently and the necessity of furniture design with earthquake emergency self-rescue function were analyzed. Then the research situation on furniture design with earthquake emergency self-rescue function were summarized, and the rethinking on functional design of furniture, especially design on form and structure, were conducted based on analysis of theoretical basis of furniture design with earthquake emergency self-rescue function.
