The phenomenon of recent emigration on the Apennine Peninsula is quite fresh but intense. The emigration literary culture which is formed in this exile is not very abundant, but with distinct trends between certificating and documenting the experiences of immigrants. Reportages play an important role, including A Sud di Lampedusa. Cinque anni di viaggi sulle rotte dei migranti by Stefano Liberti, A Lampedusa. Affari, malaffari, rivolta e sconfitta dell'isola che voleva diventare la porta d'Europa, a book written by Italian journalists Fabio Sanfilippo and Alice Scialoja, and a diary La scelta di Catia written by Catia Pellegrino. In addition, many materials (including journalistic materials) confirm the existence of a preliminary reconnaissance, however, requires further research. Italian documentaries, personal opinions and comments that go far beyond literature in the strict sense complement the panorama of contemporary emigration which comes from Africa and the Near East. However, they allow us to understand better the area of psychosocial determinants of individual migration decisions and specificity of the migrants' experience, including the experience of the community. How do human solidarity and effectiveness work in the process of the emigration on the European continent? An analysis of the phenomenon of the emigration on the Apennine Peninsula is inextricably linked with the questions about the confrontation and integration, about the literature which is created in this community and the impact political correctness has on its shape, as well as about the new model of immigrant/the African/the European. 展开更多

In the context of Italian literature of 15th century investigate the conception of beauty present in treatises considering the concept of family means not limited value of women's beauty. Examination of the course of the development of this idea leads to the conclusion that the conception of beauty doesn't exhaust itself in the traditional Aristotelian vision but implies a connection with virtu and with human values on which is based the society. In my analysis 1 will proceed comparing the visions of three authors which apparently belong to different environments but have the same cultural roots. In my investigation of the concept of beauty present in Francesco Barbaro's "De re uxoria", Leon Battista Alberti's "I libri della famiglia" and Benedetto Cotrugli's "II libro dell'arte di mercatura", I will trace the definition of beauty which is far from simple physical gracefulness but is based on Aristotelian system of virtues. In that light it plays a major role in the formation of perfect citizen and in the utopian vision of the state 展开更多

In the present article, the attention is focused on autorepresentational image that can be derived from Cristina Campo’s literary language, while analyzing at the same time its genesis, given finalities and reception. It is what can be deduced in filigrain from essayistic-critical writings in The Unforgivable Ones(Gli imperdonabili)and Under a False Name(Sotto falso nome),as well as from collections of letters and illuminating lyrical motifs, based on which it will be demonstrated that analogous themes are associated to various literary genres on grounds of principle of inter-genre contamination.By illustrating the founding postulates of autopoetic reflections, the intention is to ulteriorly determine their collocation within the frame of cultural history. To veiled autobiographism contributes pseudonymical practice,as well as subsequent stylistic devices, through which modernistic aspects are highlighted. The autobiographical narration in The Golden Walnut(La noce d’oro),short story-fairy tale of aesthetic timbre frequently infused with figural tropism, comprises a literary mixture of rievocation and mythography, relying on anthropological premises that are speculatively articulated. 展开更多

Considered a great example of investigative fiction,Mia per sempre[Mine Forever]which denounces violence against women, encourages them to speak out, seek assistance, and refuse to flee in terror, has been hailed as outstanding work to denounce violence against women. The book is a study of women’s unusual relationships, which are marked by intense love, envious friendships, and unbreakable ties that result in mental instability, irrational behavior,or uncontrollable behavior.Tani’s work has also received recognition for including the knowledgeable perspectives of various specialists who offer a deeper and priceless understanding of these catastrophes occurring individuals’home. This study examines those instances of fear-sharing in relation to women’s independence and ability to move on or start new lives. The main question is how and why Tani’s employs fear.Who are the women or circumstances that cause fear? This paper considers the theoretical discourse on fear developed by scholars of the emotions such as,among others,Jaimal Yogis and Olsson and Phelps in order to examine the circumstances and outcomes of fear fashioned by Tani in her representation of Italian men’s criminal reaction to women’s autonomy. 展开更多
