Researches on the concept of self-neglect and related measurement tools started earlier in foreign countries, and have explored relevant aspects more deeply and comprehensively. This paper analyzes the definition of the concept of elder self-neglect by scholars at home and abroad and the characteristics, strengths and weaknesses of related measurement tools, so as to provide a reference for clinical nurses in China to develop or introduce early identification and assessment tools for elderly self-neglect suitable for national conditions.展开更多
