According to the crosscutting relationships between dykesand auriferous veins, single hydrothermal zircon U-Pb dating and quartz K-Ar,^(40)Ar-^(39)Ar andRb-Sr datings, the main mineralization stage of the Jiapigou deposit has been determined to be2469-2475 Ma, while mineralization superimposition on the gold deposit occurred in1800-2000 Ma and 130-272 Ma. They form a mineralization framework of one oldermetallogenic epoch (Late Archaean-Early Proterozoic) and one younger metallogenic epoch(Mesozoic) of gold deposits in Archaean greenstone belts in China.展开更多

The results in- dicated that the Jiapigou gold belt underwent two periods of gold mineralization: the earlier mineralization was related to the intrusion of Neoarchaean kaligranite, where the REE of earlier gold-bearing quartz veins and Neoarchaean kaligranites were typically featured by lower concentration and positive Eu anomaly; the later mineralization was related to the intrusion of the Yanshanian granite in Mesozoic, where the REE of later gold-bearing quartz veins and Yanshanian granites were typically featured by high concentration and negative Eu anomaly. However, the metallogenic mechanisms of the earlier and of the later gold mineralization periods were analogous, metallogenic materials were heterogenous with metallogenic fluids which mainly originated from magmatic hydrothermal fluids, mixed with metamorphic fluids; the metallogenic materials were mainly derived from the altered wall rock.展开更多

A lot of researchers firmly believe that the Jiapigou gold mine area situated on the north margin of N. China platform is a typical Archaean granite-greenstone terrain, but the detailed field and indoor work made by the authors in this area combined with the on-the-spot investigation on some typical Archaean greenstone belts in Yilgarn block, W. Australia, show that the Jiapigou area is a typical Archaean high grade metamorphic terrain but not an Archaean greenstone belt. The following is an outline of the main evidence and geological significance for the confirmation.展开更多
