Regional Characteristics and Modern Value of Traditional Gardens in Jinan City,China

Regional characteristics of traditional gardens in Jinan City were analyzed,and architectural style of local traditional gardens was summarized as "carrying features of gardens in both north and south China".The macro gardening layout regarding the whole city as a garden was highlighted and the gardening technique of using natural elements skillfully and employing artificial decorations was elaborated.Influence of urban layout and water environment evolution on gardens and local spirits embodied by gardens were introduced,on the basis of which value and enlightenment of local traditional gardens for modern urban development was analyzed,further investigation of traditional garden resources was thought helpful for the protection of cultural carriers and also inheritance and development of traditional garden essence.Enlightenment from traditional gardens for modern garden planning and design helps build the card of the city,and achieve win-win of economic and ecological benefits.

济南传统园林的地域特色及其现代价值分析
