While his translations possess distinctive features, there is relatively limited research on this aspect domestically. This paper selects Yang’s translation of Shih-Huo Chih in Chin Shu, exploring his translation strategies and characteristics through qualitative analysis and quantitative statistics. The research reveals that Yang optimized the structure of the translation to better align with readers’ reading habits, enhancing the reading experience. He primarily employed the literal translation to retain the original style of the text. Additionally, he skillfully utilized the technique of “Thick Translation” to enhance readers’ understanding of the original cultural background and connotations and lower reading barriers. He preserved Chinese characters, thereby transmitting Chinese culture. Through an in-depth analysis of Yang Lien-sheng’s translation strategies and characteristics, it is hoped to provide valuable experience and insights for future Sinologists, and promote the dissemination of Chinese culture abroad.展开更多
