China’s Economy in the Advanced Stage of Industrialization:Tendencies and Risks

In 2010, China entered the advanced stage of industrialization, which coincided with the country＇s entry into a new stage of economic growth. However, this transition is associated with major risks, including adapting to decelerating economic growth. While recognizing the move toward a service-based economy, China must seek to prevent the risk of ＂manufacturing hollowing out. ＂＇ It must also avoid the ＂technology upgrade trap＂ while taking advantage of increasingly sophisticated industrial structures. Efforts must also be made to： （1） promote the integration of lT tools and meet risks arising from the New Industrial Revolution; （2） resolve liability risks arising from capacity reduction; and （3） expedite the transition to a functional industrial policy and prevent the failure of a functional industrial policy. In climbing up the global value chain, China must confront the competitive pressures from advanced and emerging economies on both high- and low-end processes of the global value chain.

Development tendencies of moulding and core sands

Further development of the technology for making moulding and core sands will be strictly limited by tough requirements due to protection of the natural environment. These tendencies are becoming more and more tense, so that we will reach a point when even processes, that from technological point of view fulfill high requirements of the foundry industry, must be replaced by more ecologically-friendly solutions. Hence, technologies using synthetic resins as binding materials will be limited. This paper presents some predictable development tendencies of moulding and core sands. The increasing role of inorganic substances will be noticed, including silicate binders with significantly improved properties, such as improved knock-out property or higher reclamation strength. Other interesting solutions might also be moulding sands bonded by geo-polymers and phosphate binders or salts and also binders based on degradable biopolymers. These tendencies and the usefulness of these binders are put forward in this paper.

A Study on the Tendencies for Film Subtitle Translation from the Perspective of Hall’s High and Low Context Theory

In recent years, more and more western films have been introduced into China. With its coming, quite a few people have tried translating the subtitles to help those unfamiliar with foreign languages better understand the films. Some of their works are good. At the same time, some people have done research concerning FST to successfully put forward some strategies and methods to help those film subtitle translators. They see into FST from different perspectives such as the Skopostheory, the Functional Equivalence theory and the Relevance Theory. However, few people tried researching FST from a cultural perspective.The author decides to probe into FST from an entirely new perspective. In this paper, the author introduces Hall's High and Low Context theory and puts forward four tendencies in FST.

First-principles study of disordering tendencies in Gd_2B_2O_7(B=Ti,Sn,Zr) compounds

This paper performs the density functional theory calculations to obtain some factors influencing the response of pyrochlores Gd2B207 （B = Ti, Sn, Zr） to ion irradiation-induced amorphization. The 48f oxygen position parameter x, cohesive energy, bond type and defect-formation energy are discussed. The results show that parameter x can be used to indicate the disordering tendencies within a given pyrochlore family. Bond type, cohesive energy and defect-formation energies can be used to explain some experimental observations, but they are not determined exclusively by radiation ＂resistance＂ for a different pyrochlore family.

Relationships among achievement motivation,meta-learning capacity and creativity tendencies among Chinese baccalaureate nursing students

capacity and creativity tendencies among Chinese baccalaureate nursing students.Design:Cross-sectional study design.Methods:A convenient sample of 445 baccalaureate nursing students were surveyed in two universities in Tianjin,China.Students completed a questionnaire that included their demographic information,Achievement Motivation Scale,Meta-Learning Capacity Questionnaire,and Creativity Tendencies Scale.Pearson correlation was performed to test the correlation among achievement motivation,meta-learning capacity and creativity tendencies.Hierarchical linear regression analyses were performed to explore the mediating role of meta-learning capacity.Results:The participants had moderate levels of achievement motivation(mean score 2.383±0.240)and meta-learning capacity(mean score 1.505±0.241)and a medium-high level of creativity tendency(mean score 1.841±0.288).Creativity tendencies was significantly associated with both achievement motivation and meta-learning capacity(both P<0.01).Furthermore,meta-learning capacity mediated the relationship between achievement motivation and high creativity tendencies.Conclusion:The study hypotheses were supported.Higher achievement motivation,and meta-learning capacity can increase creativity tendencies of baccalaureate nursing students,and meta-learning capacity was found to mediate the relationship between achievement motivation and creativity tendencies.Nursing educators should pay attention to the positive role of meta-learning capacity in nursing students’learning,and make them more confident when they finish their studies.

French versus English: A sociolinguistic study of Moroccans’ foreign language attitudinal tendencies

The complexity of the Moroccan language landscape sparks off a power struggle between languages. The focus in this chapter is on the apparent French/English language contest over supremacy. Here comes the current investigation that aims at gauging Moroccan’s perceptions of French and English through a language questionnaire.Responses were subjected to statistical analyses to support or reject the hypothesis that gender, age and language proficiency affect Moroccans’ evaluations of French and English.The study reveals that Moroccans’ attitudes towards English are significantly more favorable than those towards the French language. Age, but not gender, has turned out to have a statistically significant difference in the overall evaluation of French and English.These evaluations have also been shown to correlate with the respondents’ French and English language proficiency. The result of this study is an indication that Moroccans’attitudes toward French and English are undergoing a change from a conventional preference for French to a recent favor of English whose phenomenal growth globally may have affected language attitudes locally.

Regional tendencies of research collaboration of social sciences in China:Analysis based on papers of economic journals

Purpose:This study intends to evaluate the regional tendencies of research collaboration of social sciences in China,and shows the pattern of China’s inter-regional research collaboration(IRRC).Design/methodology/approach:By using 10 years’ data of 150 economic journals in CNKI database,this paper used the Salton index as the indicator to measure the collaborative intensity of 31 regions in China.Findings:First,regional tendencies of research collaboration in social sciences do exist in China.Second,there is a positive correlation between collaborative tendency and regional scientific productivity.Every region would like to cooperate with high productive regions,and high productive regions tend to have collaborations within the region itself.Third,geographical proximity is an important factor affecting China’s IRRC.Research limitations:There are many other important external conditions which may affect research collaboration,but not all of them have been taken into account in this research.Practical implications:The proposed method can be also applied to detect cooperation preference of different authors,scientific research institutions and countries.And the study will help us understand the importance of distance in scholarly cooperation.Originality/value:Previous researches proved that regional research collaborations exist in natural sciences in China,while this research showed that the same phenomenon also appears in social sciences in China.

The Diffusion of Bilateral Tendencies in the Common Trade Policy of the European Union During the Global Financial and Economic Crisis

In this research work, the author focuses on the analysis of the diffusion of bilateral tendencies in the common trade policy of the European Union （EU） during the global financial and economic crisis. Realistic point is important trends in the trade regime during the economic crisis. The decisions taken by the representatives of the governments participating in the World Trade Organisation （WTO） are, to a significant degree, influenced by various lobbies, such as organisations and unions of food producers or other non-governmental organisations, including trade unions, The main objective of the research task is to give a comprehensive analysis of the international trade policy during the world financial and economic crisis 2008-2010. The particular mains concern the political economy models of foreign trade policy, protectionistic pressures in different political system, the level of protectionistic pressures, food producer pressures, international trade liberalization, and environmental protection bilateral tendencies in the common trade policy of the EU and the respond of the EU to the economic crisis, it must be emphasized that on a theoretical level, understanding the choice of trade policies between liberalizm and protectionisme is very important. Despite the undeniable benefits of the multilateral WTO forum for trade liberalisation, the rapid increase of North-South bilateral and multilateral Free Trade Areas （FTAs） begs a systematic explanation for why some forums are prioritized relative to others.

Impact of Coronavirus Anxiety on Depressive Tendencies among Emerging and Young Adults

Coronavirus,our new chemical enemy,have become successful in chang­ing our lives to an extent that now we have to think twice before stepping out of house.It has impacted negatively on not only our physical health but also psychological health.The current study was done to see the im­pact of coronavirus related anxiety on depressive tendencies.Further,it was assessed whether there is any interaction between gender and coro­navirus anxiety on depressive tendencies.The linear regression indicated that coronavirus anxiety is strongly related to depressive tendencies and that the coronavirus anxiety is a predictor of depressive tendency.How­ever,two-way ANOVA indicated that there is an insignificant difference as to how males and females face depressive tendencies.Finally,there is insignificant interaction between gender and coronavirus anxiety on de­pressive tendencies.The implications,limitations and future suggestions are also given on the basis of the findings so obtained.

Parental Psychological Control and Internet Gaming Disorder Tendency:A Moderated Mediation Model of Core Self-Evaluation and Intentional Self-Regulation

Internet gaming disorder(IGD)among junior high school students is an increasingly prominent mental health concern.It is important to look for influences behind internet gaming disorder tendency(IGDT)in the junior high school student population.The present study aimed to reveal the explanatory mechanisms underlying the association between parental psychological control(PPC)and internet gaming disorder tendency among junior high school students by testing the mediating role of core self-evaluation(CSE)and the moderating role of intentional self-regulation(ISR).Participants in present study were 735 Chinese junior high school students who completed offline self-report questionnaires on parental psychological control,core self-evaluation,intentional self-regulation,and Internet gaming disorder tendency.Analyses were conducted via mediation and moderated mediation.The results showed that:(1)Parental psychological control was positively related to junior high school students’Internet gaming disorder tendency.Core self-evaluation,and intentional self-regulation were negatively related to junior high school students’Internet gaming disorder tendency,respectively.(2)Core self-evaluation partially mediated the relationship between parental psychological control and junior high school students’Internet gaming disorder tendency.(3)Intentional self-regulation moderated the association between parental psychological control and Internet gaming disorder tendency,as well as the relationships between parental psychological control and core self-evaluation and core self-evaluation and Internet gaming disorder tendency in the mediated model.Based on these findings,we believe that there is a need to weaken parental psychological control,strengthen junior high school students’core self-evaluation and intentional self-regulation,and to recognize the important role of parents as well as their children’s personal positive traits in the healthy development of junior high school students.

Self-heating tendency evaluation of sulfide ores based on nonlinear multi-parameters fusion

In order to reveal the nonlinear dynamics characteristics of unsteady self-heating process of sulfide ores, nine different kinds of sulfide ore samples from a pyrite mine in China were taken as experimental materials and their self-heating characteristics were measured in laboratory. Furthermore, the measured temperature was studied by integrating wavelet transform, nonlinear characteristic parameters extraction and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation. The results indicate that only the ore samples 1, 2, 6 and 9 have obvious self-heating phenomenon, and their self-heating initiative temperatures are 220 ℃, 239 ℃, 220 ℃ and 220 ℃, respectively, which means that they are difficult to produce self-heating under normal mining conditions. The correlation dimension of self-heating process is fraction and the maximum Lyapunov exponent is positive, which means that it is feasible to study the self-heating process based on chaotic dynamics theory. The nonlinearities of self-heating process of these four samples （ore samples 1, 2, 6 and 9） are 0.8227, 0.7521, 0.9401 and 0.8827 respectively and the order of the samples according to these results is： sample 6, sample 9, sample 1, sample 2, which is consistent with the measured results of self-heating characteristics. Therefore, the nonlinearity method can be used to evaluate the self-heating tendency of sulfide ores, and it is an effective verification of the reliability of measured results.

基于质性分析的网络社会排斥前因机制探究

运用扎根理论,借助NVivo软件对国内文献、网络热帖评论及深度访谈资料进行质性分析,探讨网络社会排斥的前因机制。结果发现,网络环境对互动对象社会排斥行为的归因倾向是影响网络社会排斥的关键因素,特别是形象意识高的个体,其拒绝敏感性强,更容易作出消极归因并陷入自我否定,消极情绪增加,从而加剧了网络社会排斥。而个体向往情绪的增多、高质量的现实人际关系及与互动对象紧密的现实关系距离则能减少对互动对象行为的消极归因,有助于缓解或预防网络社会排斥。此外,网络发展、网络特征及使用特征也在一定程度上催生了网络社会排斥。研究结果能为后续实证研究提供理论研究框架,为治理网络社会排斥问题提供有益参考。

This paper attempts to explore romantic tendency in Austen's works according to the comparison and contrast between her two novels. Through comparison and contrast, we can see the transformation of Marianne from a lady of sensibility to a sensible lady and the growth of Anne into a lady with romance.

基于Stacking-SHAP的煤自燃倾向性影响因素研究

为对煤自燃倾向性做出准确的预测,挖掘不同煤样属性对煤自燃倾向性的贡献程度,提出基于Stacking-SHAP的煤自燃倾向性预测模型。分别将煤体自身属性及其自燃倾向性综合判定指数作为模型输入和输出。该模型融合支持向量回归(SVR)、极限梯度提升归回树(XGBoost)、随机森林(RandomForest)、梯度提升决策树(GBDT),并利用网格搜索法对各基础模型参数进行优化,同时结合SHAP算法对不同影响因素的贡献度进行计算。结果显示,优化后的SVR、XGBoost、RF、GBDT和Stacking的判定系数R^(2)分别为0.933、0.887、0.950、0.925、0.984。在煤自燃倾向性影响因素中,重要性程度靠前的特征依次是氧含量、挥发分含量、脂肪烃峰面积值、C/H、羟基峰面积值以及总孔体积共6种特征。模型的建立为煤自燃倾向性预测与煤自燃灾害防治提供了一种新方法。

Variation Characteristics and Tendency of Precipitation in Chaoyang Area between 1908 and 2008

According to the precipitation sequence of Beijing City from 1900 to 1958,the precipitation sequence of Chengde City were revised and extended.Then the precipitation sequence of Chaoyang City were revised and extended with the precipitation sequence of Chengde City to form 100-years precipitation sequence of Chaoyang.The results showed that the 100-years precipitation sequence of Chaoyang indicated a decreasing trend and obvious periodic variation with the change of age.That is,a 10-year rainy period (approximately 525.0 mm) appeared every 30 a,while the 30-year drought period was approximately 460.0 mm,65.0 mm lower than the former.Moreover,an obviously heavy drought lasting for 2-4 a appeared every 20 a.

Sensitivity to Tendency Perturbations of Tropical Cyclone Short-range Intensity Forecasts Generated by WRF

The present study uses the nonlinear singular vector(NFSV)approach to identify the optimally-growing tendency perturbations of the Weather Research and Forecasting(WRF)model for tropical cyclone(TC)intensity forecasts.For nine selected TC cases,the NFSV-tendency perturbations of the WRF model,including components of potential temperature and/or moisture,are calculated when TC intensities are forecasted with a 24-hour lead time,and their respective potential temperature components are demonstrated to have more impact on the TC intensity forecasts.The perturbations coherently show barotropic structure around the central location of the TCs at the 24-hour lead time,and their dominant energies concentrate in the middle layers of the atmosphere.Moreover,such structures do not depend on TC intensities and subsequent development of the TC.The NFSV-tendency perturbations may indicate that the model uncertainty that is represented by tendency perturbations but associated with the inner-core of TCs,makes larger contributions to the TC intensity forecast uncertainty.Further analysis shows that the TC intensity forecast skill could be greatly improved as preferentially superimposing an appropriate tendency perturbation associated with the sensitivity of NFSVs to correct the model,even if using a WRF with coarse resolution.
