A detailed rock density model of the Hong Kong territories

We used the geological map and published rock density measurements to compile the digital rock density model for the Hong Kong territories.We then estimated the average density for the whole territory.According to our result,the rock density values in Hong Kong vary from 2101 to 2681 kg·m^(-3).These density values are typically smaller than the average density of 2670 kg·m^(-3),often adopted to represent the average density of the upper continental crust in physical geodesy and gravimetric geophysics applications.This finding reflects that the geological configuration in Hong Kong is mainly formed by light volcanic formations and lava flows with overlying sedimentary deposits at many locations,while the percentage of heavier metamorphic rocks is very low(less than 1%).This product will improve the accuracy of a detailed geoid model and orthometric heights.

A Comparative Study of the L2 Pragmatic Competence of University Students in Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland:The Contributions of Sociocultural Context and Linguistic Proficiency

This study investigates the differences in pragmatic competence between Hong Kong and Chinese mainland university students.Participants included 19 native speakers of English,115 Chinese mainland students,divided into those who had spent time abroad in an English-speaking country(CM A)and those who had not(CM NA),and 97 Hong Kong students,divided into those from an English-medium secondary school(Hong Kong EMI)and those from a Chinese-medium school(Hong Kong CMI).Linguistic proficiency was measured by a C-test,and pragmatic competence by a Metapragmatic Knowledge Test,an Irony Test and a Monologic Role Play.Group scores were compared using ANCOVAs to control for differences in proficiency.The results point to a continuum of pragmatic competence—EMI>CMI>CM A>CM NA—reflecting the groups’access to English in real-life contexts.The differences between the Hong Kong groups and the Chinese mainland groups were clearest in those tests measuring processing capacity(i.e.,Irony Response Time and the Monologic Role Play).CM A,but not CM NA,performed as well as the Hong Kong groups on measures of metapragmatic awareness.The results are discussed in terms of Bialystok’s(1993)distinction between analyzed representation and control of processing.

Using Five Music Instructional Methods to Illustrate the Social Constructive Music Teaching Framework in Hong Kong Primary Level Music Education

Music education under the frame name of arts education has been integrated into the primary and secondary education curriculums in Hong Kong for more than 20 years,starting from 2001,the year of launching the Learning to Learn curriculum for the reconstruction of the education system for the younger generation.Music education,embedded into the arts education,was therefore regarded as one of the key subjects to cultivate and uplift student holistic development,focusing on aesthetic skill training and moral growth development.This research was an exploration study of music teaching practices from two private international and two general public school music teachers at the primary school level.The value of this study rested on borrowing the idea of Shulman’s pedagogical content knowledge(PCK)principle to create a social constructivist music teaching framework from five commonly-used instructional methods,namely,Orff,Kodaly,Dalcrozes,Suzuki,and Gordon’s approaches.Based on the evaluations of these four case studies,hypotheses on the differences in the PCK were tested with the types of schools and found to be no difference.The preliminary results suggested that music teachers in private international schools had similar pedagogical approaches to music instruction to teachers in aided-public schools.Additionally,the modeling,guiding,and training approach was identified as a grounded teaching method for music education at the primary school level regardless of different types of schools.Other implications like the further development of the framework were discussed.

This study focuses on Hong Kong youth,recognizing them as a vital subject within the context of“four histories”education.From the perspective of the integration of Lingnan culture,it explores the rich resources of Lingnan culture,innovates the narrative system,and explores the path of positive guidance in history education.Responding to the demands of the times,it seeks to alleviate the pressing concerns of Hong Kong society,help Hong Kong youth break down prejudices,gain a comprehensive understanding of China,grasp the development context of modern China,recognize historical trends,undertake national responsibilities,and take on the mission of the times.

Predicting Carpark Prices Indices in Hong Kong Using AutoML

The aims of this study were threefold:1)study the research gap in carpark and price index via big data and natural language processing,2)examine the research gap of carpark indices,and 3)construct carpark price indices via repeat sales methods and predict carpark indices via the AutoML.By researching the keyword“carpark”in Google Scholar,the largest electronic academic database that coversWeb of Science and Scopus indexed articles,this study obtained 999 articles and book chapters from 1910 to 2019.It confirmed that most carpark research threw light on multi-storey carparks,management and ventilation systems,and reinforced concrete carparks.The most common research method was case studies.Regarding price index research,many previous studies focused on consumer,stock,press and futures,with many keywords being related to finance and economics.These indicated that there is no research predicting carpark price indices based on an AutoML approach.This study constructed repeat sales indices for 18 districts in Hong Kong by using 34,562 carpark transaction records from December 2009 to June 2019.Wanchai’s carpark price was about four times that of Yuen Long’s carpark price,indicating the considerable carpark price differences inHong Kong.This research evidenced the features that affected the carpark price indices models most:gold price ranked the first in all 19 models;oil price or Link stock price ranked second depending on the district,and carpark affordability ranked third.

Cycles of fine-grained sedimentation and their influences on organic matter distribution in the second member of Paleogene Kongdian Formation in Cangdong Sag,Bohai Bay Basin,East China

According to the theory of sequence stratigraphy based on continental transgressive-regressive(T-R)cycles,a 500 m continuous core taken from the second member of Kongdian Formation(Kong 2 Member)of Paleogene in Well G108-8 in the Cangdong Sag,Bohai Bay Basin,was tested and analyzed to clarify the high-frequency cycles of deep-water fine-grained sedimentary rocks in lacustrine basins.A logging vectorgraph in red pattern was plotted,and then a sequence stratigraphic framework with five-order high-frequency cycles was formed for the fine-grained sedimentary rocks in the Kong 2 Member.The high-frequency cycles of fine-grained sedimentary rocks were characterized by using different methods and at different scales.It is found that the fifth-order T cycles record a high content of terrigenous clastic minerals,a low paleosalinity,a relatively humid paleoclimate and a high density of laminae,while the fifth-order R cycles display a high content of carbonate minerals,a high paleosalinity,a dry paleoclimate and a low density of laminae.The changes in high-frequency cycles controlled the abundance and type of organic matter.The T cycles exhibit relatively high TOC and abundant endogenous organic matters in water in addition to terrigenous organic matters,implying a high primary productivity of lake for the generation and enrichment of shale oil.

Discourse Analysis in Translation of Chinese Literature: The Case Study of Yang Xianyi and Gladys Yang’s Translation of Kong Yiji

Since the early 1970s,discourse analysis has garnered significant attention across various academic disciplines,marked by the proliferation of numerous theoretical frameworks.Then the profound impact of discourse analysis on the field of translation research has become increasingly apparent,with a substantial body of translation studies embracing the discourse analysis approach.The disciplinary significance of discourse analysis has become undeniable.Contemporary China is in a relatively weak position in global cultural communication.To advance Chinese culture on the global stage,Chinese literary works serve as a precious channel.To effectively showcase the unique qualities of Chinese literature,translators must consider a multitude of influencing factors and address them judiciously to enable target language readers to fully immerse themselves in the essence of Chinese literary artistry.This paper takes Yang Xianyi and Gladys Yang’s translation of Kong Yiji as an example to elucidate the function of discourse analysis in translation of Chinese literature.

Investigation on the Integration of “Gao” in Hong Kong Chinese and Mainland Mandarin

From the diachronic dimension,this paper makes a two-way interactive investigation on the integration of Hong Kong Chinese and Mainland Mandarin.“Gao”is a delexical verb in contemporary Chinese.In different words and expressions related to“gao”character,there are mutual absorptions between Chinese mainland and Hong Kong,which is characterized by starting from nothing to something and from less to more.

中国香港联合国教科文组织世界地质公园地质遗迹资源及综合利用价值评价

地质遗迹综合利用价值是地质公园开展地质遗迹资源保护、开发利用等工作的重要科学依据,但如何进行客观和定量的评价尚未很好解决。对香港世界地质公园的地质遗迹资源进行详细野外调查,根据《国家地质公园规划编制技术要求》划分地质遗迹资源类型,运用层次分析法对香港世界地质公园综合利用价值进行了定量评价。结果显示,香港世界地质公园典型地质遗迹共分为5个大类、11个类和14个亚类,从自然属性、价值属性、保护管理与开发利用条件等方面选取4个综合评价因子、15个具体评价指标,构建地质遗迹资源价值评价指标体系,并确定评价的指标权重;根据制定的评分标准,邀请专家对地质遗迹综合价值进行打分,运用地质遗迹综合利用价值评价计算模型,计算得出香港世界地质公园地质遗迹综合利用价值评价的得分为90.27,为一级旅游资源。研究成果为深入开展香港世界地质公园地质遗迹管理保护和开发利用等工作提供科学依据,也为其它地质公园的地质遗迹资源综合利用评价提供借鉴案例。

粤港澳大湾区内地高校港籍大学生的国家认同现状及其塑造机制

粤港澳大湾区建设在塑造中国香港青年国家认同方面具有重要意义。以就读于大湾区内地高校的港籍大学生为研究对象,通过访谈和问卷调查发现,大湾区建设背景下内地港籍大学生具有政治认同度较好、文化认同度较高及国民身份认同度较强的国家认同现状。这缘于港籍大学生在大湾区内地求学时,多元主体围绕其发展需求,以政策吸纳、教育合作、人文交流和生活化传播等四种机制,推进该群体的政治社会化场景变迁,进而对其塑造一种正向的国家认同。据此,应在推进大湾区高质量发展的同时,加强制度改革与规则协调,优化国民教育的课程体系及考核方式,加大大湾区建设的普惠性宣传,借以发挥大湾区在塑造广大中国香港青年国家认同的政策效能。

从场空间到流网络:粤港澳大湾区城市群空间结构特征及优化路径研究

检视粤港澳大湾区城市群空间结构演化趋势,对纵深推动大湾区高质量发展意义重大。本研究因应数字经济对区域要素流动结构的影响,提出粤港澳大湾区“流网络”分析框架,并以首位度和齐普夫法则测度传统空间结构特征,以上市企业的“总部—分支”机构分布测度流网络特征。结果表明:大湾区总体经历了先集聚再分散的发展过程;各城市人口分布梯度不合理,核心城市的人口扩张推动了城市群的定型。大湾区经济规模结构呈现帕累托分布模式,各城市经济规模变差较大。从城际联系来看,广州深圳之间具有高联通度,形成了联通走廊,2000年以来深圳的相对联通度高居首位,区域网络日渐完善。未来,应织密高效的综合交通网络,加速市场一体化进程、构建“双核三圈”网络型城市群体系、设立“广深接合片区”并加快打造“广深联动走廊”,开创大湾区高质量协同发展新格局。

Present Situation and Thinking of the Evaluation and Management of Biomedical Projects in Shenzhen Industrial Park of Shenzhen-Hong Kong Cooperation Zone

Objective To put forward some suggestions for the improvement of the evaluation system of Shenzhen Industrial Park of Shenzhen-Hong Kong Innovation Cooperation Zone by studying the scientific research project evaluation and management system of Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development(AMED).Methods Through literature review,lessons were drawn from the review and management policies and methods of biomedical projects implemented by Japan AMED.Then some reference was provided to the review and management of the projects in Shenzhen Industrial Park.Results and Conclusion A basic review framework has been set up in Shenzhen Industrial Park,which consists of scientific research management institution of Shenzhen Industrial Park,Third-Party Review Institution and Science Committee.However,there are three problems in this system:unclear selection criteria of review experts,insufficient supervision and lack of project evaluation standards.These problems can be solved by establishing an expert think tank,setting up graded project supervisors to have the dynamic monitoring,and developing a general evaluation scale for evaluating scientific research projects in Shenzhen Industrial Park.

大湾区如何先行先试国际高标准经贸规则

与WTO相关规则对比分析发现,CPTPP等国际高标准经贸规则在全球价值链分工、数字贸易、“边境(后)”规则等方面进行拓展和完善,从经济领域和规则领域两个层面对中国产生诸多影响。结合粤港澳大湾区的发展实际,粤港澳大湾区可在非关税壁垒领域(削减非关税壁垒,对标国际高标准)、服务贸易领域(促进服务贸易高水平自由化)、国有企业和指定垄断领域(营造企业公平竞争的制度环境)、数字贸易领域(审慎管理数据要素,统筹好开放与安全)、中小企业领域(推动中小企业转型升级,提升竞争力)先行先试部分国际高标准经贸规则,为中国改进经贸规则,提出国际经贸规则的“中国模板”提供智力支持。

资本市场开放对企业并购融资的影响研究——基于“陆港通”多期双重差分的经验证据

“陆港通”政策是中国资本市场开放的重要举措。利用这一外生事件,以2010—2019年中国沪深A股并购事件为样本,运用多期双重差分模型检验“陆港通”对企业并购融资的影响,研究结果表明:“陆港通”实施可以降低并购的股权融资成本和债务融资成本,扩大并购的外部融资规模,缓解并购的融资约束程度,并且这种作用在非多元化和非关联企业并购中更加显著。进一步地探究“陆港通”对并购融资的影响机制,可以发现该政策通过改善信息环境和加强治理效应两种途径缓解企业的并购融资问题。因此,并购企业应积极响应“陆港通”政策,从而引入更多成熟的境外投资者,达到提高并购效率、提升并购效果的目的。

粤港澳全运会提升大湾区体育国际影响力研究

采用文献资料法、实地调研法和逻辑分析法等研究方法,探究粤港澳全运会提升大湾区体育国际影响力。研究认为:粤港澳大湾区体育国际影响力的阻滞因素包括国际赛事供给不足,体育市场开发有待提升;体制机制差异显著,体育资源要素流动受阻;体育媒体供给失衡,国际媒体合作交流受限。通过粤港澳全运会发挥各地体育资源禀赋,打造大湾区体育赛事品牌;创新体制机制深度融合,畅通大湾区体育要素流动和培育多元体育媒体供给,建构大湾区体育国际传播体系等策略提升大湾区体育国际影响力。

城市群人口集聚对共同富裕的影响——基于粤港澳大湾区的分析

共同富裕是中国式现代化的重要特征和中国特色社会主义的本质要求,如何推进共同富裕目标的实现成为政府和学界亟待解决的难题。以粤港澳大湾区为样本探讨城市群人口集聚对城市群内部以及周边区域共同富裕的影响,在理论分析的基础上采用“全面FGLS”方法以及动态面板空间杜宾模型进行估计得到如下结论:粤港澳大湾区人口集聚无论是对于城市群内部共同富裕还是带动周边区域共同富裕均具有积极的促进作用,在短期内存在正向的空间溢出作用,但长期而言粤港澳大湾区人口不可能无限集聚,当发展到一定程度后拥挤效应将超过集聚效应对共同富裕产生负面影响。上述结论意味着当前粤港澳大湾区内部形成的多中心集聚的态势,空间协调发展程度较高,在推动城市群内部共同富裕的同时,短期内也带动了周边区域的发展,但长期持续的发展仍需人口在粤港澳全域更为均衡地分布,而非无限向粤港澳大湾区集聚。基于上述结论,提出应重视基础设施的互联互通、产业互联、城市互联等,促进粤港澳大湾区与粤东西两翼及山区人口等要素资源更为顺畅地流动,优化资源配置,促进粤港澳全域发展,实现真正意义上的先富带动后富,最终实现共同富裕。

粤港澳大湾区绿色创新效率时空演化与影响因素研究

基于Super-SBM模型对2011—2020年粤港澳大湾区11个城市绿色创新效率进行测算,并运用核密度估计模型、莫兰指数以及冷热点法分析粤港澳大湾区绿色创新效率的时空演化特征,在此基础上采用空间杜宾模型(SDM)探究粤港澳大湾区绿色创新效率的影响因素。研究表明:研究时间区间,粤港澳大湾区绿色创新效率总体处于较高水平,且呈波动上升趋势;粤港澳大湾区绿色创新效率具有显著的空间非均衡性,呈现“东南高、西北低”的空间分异格局,且该格局有加剧趋势,同时空间相关性于2020年由正转负;政府支持、教育水平以及经济水平对粤港澳大湾区绿色创新效率具有显著的促进作用,教育水平对邻近地区的绿色创新效率具有正向溢出效应,而政府支持对邻近地区效率值具有负向溢出效应。

数字经济产业区域协同发展机理及路径研究--基于江西与粤港澳、长三角、长江中游城市群协同发展视角

数字经济产业区域协同发展对推动区域经济效率变革、质量变革和动力变革具有积极推动作用。近年来,江西充分发挥毗邻粤港澳大湾区、长三角以及位居长江中游城市群的地理优势,积极推动数字经济产业区域协同发展,打造了赣深电子信息产业集聚区、承接长三角数字产业转移示范区、赣湘电子信息产业园等,为江西数字经济产业高质量发展奠定了扎实基础,但是在数字经济产业区域协同发展过程中仍然存在协同规划缺乏、协同层次偏低、协同结构失衡、产业数字化滞后、数字技术协同创新弱和数据要素共建共享不畅等问题。这需从强化规划引领、提高协同层次、优化协同结构、加快数字化转型、推动数字技术协同创新和促进数据互联互通共用等方面加以破解。

全球海洋中心城市的湾区实践——以粤港澳大湾区为例

粤港澳大湾区是加快实施海洋强国战略的重要支点,全球海洋中心城市建设则是进一步推动粤港澳大湾区建设的关键抓手。全球海洋中心城市作为当前海洋城市建设与评价最具影响力的目标对象,需要分别在全球与湾区视角下考察粤港澳大湾区的优势与挑战。本研究通过解读全球海洋中心城市的概念与内涵,剖析了典型全球海洋中心城市的显著特征,以及与国际一流湾区发展的关系。研究发现,粤港澳大湾区在全球海洋中心城市数量和航运物流方面具有优势,但是在海事技术、竞争力与吸引力等方面面临巨大的竞争挑战。粤港澳大湾区推进全球海洋中心城市建设,着重要加快提升国际航运能力、加强海洋科技创新、参与全球海洋治理、强化海洋战略规划等。
