The implementation of knowledge management (KM) in hospitals affects efficiency and outcomes of hospitals. However, few studies explored the implementation of KM in China. Twenty-two questions were designed concerni...The implementation of knowledge management (KM) in hospitals affects efficiency and outcomes of hospitals. However, few studies explored the implementation of KM in China. Twenty-two questions were designed concerning KM implementation status in over 50 hospitals. In order to understand the KM level and attitude to KM of the hospital's managers, a random sampling survey was conducted among 138 managers from 50 different scales of hospitals in 15 provinces of China. The survey showed that overall level of KM implementation in Chinese hospitals was still low and differed among different scales of hospitals (P〈0.05, or P〈0.01). In all the hospitals investigated, 63.8% did not implement KM yet, among which 46% even had not planned for that. 49.8% of the hospitals investigated had no training program about KM ever and the main source of hospital staff to get knowledge was internet. It suggested that hospital managers should make much more efforts to get to know and understand theories on KM, so that hospital KM could be promoted more rapidly.展开更多

Knowledge Management(KM)has become a dynamic concept for inquiry in research.The management of knowledge from multiple sources requires a systematic approach that can facilitate capturing all important aspects related...Knowledge Management(KM)has become a dynamic concept for inquiry in research.The management of knowledge from multiple sources requires a systematic approach that can facilitate capturing all important aspects related to a particular discipline,several KM frameworks have been designed to serve this purpose.This research aims to propose a Collaborative Knowledge Management(CKM)Framework that bridges gaps and overcomes weaknesses in existing frameworks.The paper also validates the framework by evaluating its effectiveness for the agriculture sector of Pakistan.A software LCWU aKMS was developed which serves as a practical implementation of the concepts behind the proposed CKMF framework.LCWU aKMS served as an effective system for rice leaf disease detection and identification.It aimed to enhance CKM through knowledge sharing,lessons learned,feedback on problem resolutions,help from co-workers,collaboration,and helping communities.Data were collected from 300 rice crop farmers by questionnaires based on hypotheses.Jennex Olfman model was used to estimate the effectiveness of CKMF.Various tests were performed including frequency measures of variables,Cronbach’s alpha reliability,and Pearson’s correlation.The research provided a KMS depicting KM and collaborative features.The disease detection module was evaluated using the precision and recall method and found to be 94.16%accurate.The system could replace the work of extension agents,making it a cost and time-effective initiative for farmer betterment.展开更多

The study is exploratory, descriptive, and qualitative type, such as a survey, developed through an adaptation of a relevant research, which involves the standardization of data collection instruments (questionnaires and interviews) applied directly to persons of a specific population, to assess knowledge management tools present in the University Hospital portals in the northeast region of Brazil. This is done through an efficient use of existing sources of explicit and tacit knowledge in the field of vocational occupational safety and health (OSH) training. This project identifies three specific research steps for the development of the knowledge management framework of the information technology-based approach for improving occupational safety training of young workers, including: (1) the development of the conceptual model of the flow of explicit knowledge of OSH; (2) evaluation of the effectiveness of formal and explicit knowledge sources for OSH and training methods using these sources in the context of attitudes towards health and safety at work; and (3) verification of the proposed model of vocational training with the use of combined explicit and hidden knowledge. The proposed framework includes consideration of the effectiveness of the formal and informal sources of safety knowledge. A mapping from the formal sources of explicit knowledge about the occupational safety to expected attitudes (hidden knowledge) towards OSH outcomes, including emotional, cognitive, and behavioral aspects has been used. This research used a qualitative method, and data were collected through questionnaires. The 92 respondents were the staff of office. The data were analyzed through SPSS software. The findings of this research reveal that, the knowledge creation and knowledge organization were in good level, but knowledge sharing condition was not suitable, therefore, it has negative effect on leveraging knowledge, hence we tried to demonstrate a knowledge management implementation model using the knowledge management concept and taking advantage from the concept of excellence model by the purpose of continuous improvement. This paper suggests proper knowledge management implementation (KMI) is a managerial approach that can turn an organization to an agile one. In order to verify and validate the performed research, the planned model has been accomplished in the Hydropower Plant Department, Water Recourses Management Company, positive and acceptable results were obtained and organizations total factor productivity increase was achieved which was appreciated by the organization.展开更多

文摘To support and serve engineering design, creative design based on knowledge management is proposed. The key knowledge factors of creative design are analyzed and discussed, and knowledge extraction tools are utilized to distill the important knowledge to serve for knowledge resource of creative design. The implementation of creative design mode is described and executed, which can promote the intelligent asset of the enterprise and shorten the period of creative design. With this study, design afflatus and conceptual design can be achieved expediently and effectively.
文摘The implementation of knowledge management (KM) in hospitals affects efficiency and outcomes of hospitals. However, few studies explored the implementation of KM in China. Twenty-two questions were designed concerning KM implementation status in over 50 hospitals. In order to understand the KM level and attitude to KM of the hospital's managers, a random sampling survey was conducted among 138 managers from 50 different scales of hospitals in 15 provinces of China. The survey showed that overall level of KM implementation in Chinese hospitals was still low and differed among different scales of hospitals (P〈0.05, or P〈0.01). In all the hospitals investigated, 63.8% did not implement KM yet, among which 46% even had not planned for that. 49.8% of the hospitals investigated had no training program about KM ever and the main source of hospital staff to get knowledge was internet. It suggested that hospital managers should make much more efforts to get to know and understand theories on KM, so that hospital KM could be promoted more rapidly.

文摘Promoting the co-constructing and sharing of organizational knowledge and improving organizational performance have always been the core research subject of knowledge management.Existing research focuses on the construction of knowledge management systems and knowledge sharing and transfer mechanisms.With the rapid development and application of cloud computing and big data technology,knowledge management is faced with many problems,such as how to combine with the new generation of information technology,how to achieve integration with organizational business processes,and so on.To solve such problems,this paper proposes a reciprocal collaborative knowledge management model(RCKMmodel)based on cloud computing technology,reciprocity theory,and collaboration technology.RCKM model includes project group management and cloud computing technology,which can realize management,finance,communication,and quality assurance of multiple projects and solve the problem of business integration with knowledge management.This paper designs evaluation methods of tacit knowledge and reciprocity preference based on the Bayesian formula and analyzes their effect with simulation data.The methods can provide quantitative support for the integration of knowledge management and business management to realize reciprocity and collaboration in the RCKM model.The research found that RCKM model can fully use cloud computing technology to promote the integration of knowledge management and organizational business,and the evaluation method based on the Bayesian formula can provide relatively accurate data support for the evaluation and selection of project team members.
文摘Knowledge Management(KM)has become a dynamic concept for inquiry in research.The management of knowledge from multiple sources requires a systematic approach that can facilitate capturing all important aspects related to a particular discipline,several KM frameworks have been designed to serve this purpose.This research aims to propose a Collaborative Knowledge Management(CKM)Framework that bridges gaps and overcomes weaknesses in existing frameworks.The paper also validates the framework by evaluating its effectiveness for the agriculture sector of Pakistan.A software LCWU aKMS was developed which serves as a practical implementation of the concepts behind the proposed CKMF framework.LCWU aKMS served as an effective system for rice leaf disease detection and identification.It aimed to enhance CKM through knowledge sharing,lessons learned,feedback on problem resolutions,help from co-workers,collaboration,and helping communities.Data were collected from 300 rice crop farmers by questionnaires based on hypotheses.Jennex Olfman model was used to estimate the effectiveness of CKMF.Various tests were performed including frequency measures of variables,Cronbach’s alpha reliability,and Pearson’s correlation.The research provided a KMS depicting KM and collaborative features.The disease detection module was evaluated using the precision and recall method and found to be 94.16%accurate.The system could replace the work of extension agents,making it a cost and time-effective initiative for farmer betterment.
文摘Knowledge transfer is widely emphasized as a strategic issue for firm competition. A model for intra-firm horizontal knowledge transfer is proposed to model horizontal knowledge transfer to solve some demerits in current knowledge transfer researches. The concept model of intra-firm horizontal knowledge transfer was described and a framework was provided to define the main components of the transfer process. Horizontal knowledge transfer is that knowledge is transferred from the source to the same hierarchical level recipients as the target. Horizontal knowledge transfer constitutes a strategic area of knowledge management research. However, little is known about the circumstances under which one particular mechanism is the most appropriate. To address these issues, some significant conclusions are drawn concerning knowledge transfer mechanisms in a real-world setting.

In the present competitive climate, knowledge is considered as the main distinguishing factor of business success, and it is seen as the foundation of organization's innovation. The emergence of knowledge-intensive society has changed the nature of business competition. Hence knowledge needs to be appropriately managed. Knowledge Management (KM) focuses on managing different knowledge processes such as acquiring, creating, storing, sharing, transferring and applying implicit and explicit knowledge with objective of product and process innovation, performance development and sustainable competitive advantage. This paper tries to demonstrate KM lead to promotion of innovation and performance when it is correctly supported by human resource management (HRM) and information technology (IT). The questions we will try to investigate in this paper are: How knowledge in organizations can be managed? What is the connection between HRM, IT and effective implementation knowledge management strategies and how these relationships affect on organizational goals? For this means, this study ftrst states the importance of knowledge, KM process and introduces two strategies for managing knowledge (exploitative and explorative strategy). Next, it demonstrates each strategy requires to desired facilitator to support them in action. Finally, with presenting of model, this study concludes that each one of strategy can cover some KM process. Hence for the effective implementation of knowledge management process, organizations have to utilize both strategies.

The ultimate goal is to transform these relationships into greater profitability by increasing repeat purchase rates and reducing customer acquisition costs. Customer relationship management (CRM) has a significant potential to leverage an organization's performance, but it does not come without a clear sense of destination and typically without pain. For the research methodology we use the database of customers of a Romanian accounting services company Vulpoi & Toader Management SRL, which is an important player in this market. The goal of our paper is to find out the link between knowledge management (KM) and CRM for this company and how these "innovations" contribute to increasing the value of the business.
文摘This work aims to verify how the Web portals of Universities Hospital located in the northeast of Brazil are contributing to the expansion of knowledge of its users from the analysis of interactive features associated with the three mechanisms of knowledge management: knowledge access (KA), knowledge creation (KC), and knowledge transfer (KT). The study is exploratory, descriptive, and qualitative type, such as a survey, developed through an adaptation of a relevant research, which involves the standardization of data collection instruments (questionnaires and interviews) applied directly to persons of a specific population, to assess knowledge management tools present in the University Hospital portals in the northeast region of Brazil. The results indicated that the resources from knowledge access were more prevalent than the others, ratifying the results found in research developed in Asian and North American Hospital portals.
文摘This paper aims to develop a novel knowledge management framework for improving the system of pro-safety attitudes among young worker population in Poland. This is done through an efficient use of existing sources of explicit and tacit knowledge in the field of vocational occupational safety and health (OSH) training. This project identifies three specific research steps for the development of the knowledge management framework of the information technology-based approach for improving occupational safety training of young workers, including: (1) the development of the conceptual model of the flow of explicit knowledge of OSH; (2) evaluation of the effectiveness of formal and explicit knowledge sources for OSH and training methods using these sources in the context of attitudes towards health and safety at work; and (3) verification of the proposed model of vocational training with the use of combined explicit and hidden knowledge. The proposed framework includes consideration of the effectiveness of the formal and informal sources of safety knowledge. A mapping from the formal sources of explicit knowledge about the occupational safety to expected attitudes (hidden knowledge) towards OSH outcomes, including emotional, cognitive, and behavioral aspects has been used. The above framework should help to improve the system of vocational training for young workers in Poland.
文摘The aim of this article is to demonstrate how the opening of economies to the international market has intensified the need for companies to prepare themselves for the challenges and opportunities of globalization,as well as the knowledge of theoretical,technical,and cultural strategies that contribute economically and socially to the population.In this way,this phenomenon demonstrates a dynamic way of doing business,which should be the object of extensive study by the company as well as the academic community,thus enabling reflection and the correct management of the globalization process as well as professionals with specific practices and national and international experiences;obtaining this knowledge stems from technical and behavioral skills as well as skills presented by the individual.In the latter case,the competence models arise to integrate people in organizational models.We applied qualitative research,with consultant testimonials who work in international fields,for the development of this article.We concluded that management knowledge as well as intellectual capital management becomes the greatest challenge for everyone seeking sustainability and success in international business.

文摘This research seeks to explore the current knowledge management (KM) practice in the Water Recourses Management Company (WRMC) according to Jashpar's knowledge management cycle which comprises four loops, including knowledge creation, knowledge organization, knowledge sharing and knowledge leverage. This research used a qualitative method, and data were collected through questionnaires. The 92 respondents were the staff of office. The data were analyzed through SPSS software. The findings of this research reveal that, the knowledge creation and knowledge organization were in good level, but knowledge sharing condition was not suitable, therefore, it has negative effect on leveraging knowledge, hence we tried to demonstrate a knowledge management implementation model using the knowledge management concept and taking advantage from the concept of excellence model by the purpose of continuous improvement. This paper suggests proper knowledge management implementation (KMI) is a managerial approach that can turn an organization to an agile one. In order to verify and validate the performed research, the planned model has been accomplished in the Hydropower Plant Department, Water Recourses Management Company, positive and acceptable results were obtained and organizations total factor productivity increase was achieved which was appreciated by the organization.
