Compared with traditional approaches such as ontology integration and mapping, the proposed approach can reduce the implementation complexity. This approach can be mainly divided into three phases: ontology context determination for a given term, ontology semantic similarity computation between ontology terms, and ontology context immigration. As for a local semantic term based on distributed ontologies, an appropriate ontology context of the term is determined and extracted from a local ontology most associated with the term by using semantic similarity computation. Then, the ontology context is dynamically immigrated to the source ontology for enriching semantic information related to the term. A system called distributed knowledge sharing system(DKSS) is developed to illustrate this approach. The system adopts multi-agent technology for better communication and coordination between different ontology information sources. The experimental results show that it is efficient for distributed ontology knowledge sharing. The proposed approach does not require the support of a global ontology or the maintenance of complex ontology mapping relations, and thus it has better maintainability and scalability.展开更多

The current method of disseminating researchers’ knowledge to the communities in the Arusha region in Tanzania is through meetings, workshops, and focus group discussions held by researchers, agricultural extension officers and community members after every three months or during field study. Yet the strategy is inefficient and ineffective in practice. The purpose of this study was to determine the most efficient and successful method of disseminating knowledge in communities. The study began with a qualitative phase, utilizing an interpretive technique and a qualitative multiple case study research design. The Arusha region in Tanzania was selected as a case study where different social activities were undertaken, including farming, livestock keeping, tourism activities and fishing. Individual participants were interviewed by using a semi-structured questionnaire. In addition, focus group discussions were conducted to gather more information regarding the needs of the mobile application. Through the implementation of the application, the second phase of the study led to the development of a mobile application that includes community members, agricultural extension officers, and researchers that will enable anyone to install the application on their mobile phones to access knowledge regarding activities undertaken in Arusha. According to the findings of the first phase of the research, a substantial percentage of community members own mobile phones, and hence a mobile application would be sufficient. The research also found that most researcher-community interactions occur at the data collection and intervention assessment (field trials) stages. Hence, the mobile application will benefit community members, district agricultural, irrigation, and cooperative officers (DAICO), and researchers.展开更多

Specifically, we hypothesize that followers' innovative behavior can be directly and indirectly influenced by their perceptions of transformational leadership. Knowledge sharing has a mediating effect and followers' psychological capital has a moderating role in the relationship between transformational leadership and followers' innovative behavior. A total of 212 employees from a diverse range of industries filled out questionnaires. Hierarchical linear modeling is used to analyze the relations. Results reveal that transformational leadership produces positive and significant impacts on followers' innovative behavior and this relationship is fully mediated by knowledge sharing. Results also indicate that the positive relationship between transformational leadership and followers' innovative behavior is enhanced only when followers possess high psychological capital. This paper adds to innovation literature by empirically testing the moderating role of psychological capital and the mediating role of knowledge sharing on the link between transformational leadership and followers' innovative behavior. Implications of the findings for theory, research, and practice are discussed.展开更多

First, problems and characteristics of knowledge sharing in multi-projects of chemical engineering design are analyzed. Then based on theories of project management, process management, and knowledge management, a process-oriented knowledge-sharing platform is proposed. The platform has three characteristics: knowledge is divided into professional knowledge and project management knowledge; knowledge sharing is integrated with the project process, which makes knowledge sharing a necessary part of the project process and ensures the quantity of knowledge shared; the platform provides quantitative measurements of incentive mechanisms for knowledge providers and users which ensures the quality of knowledge shared. This knowledge-sharing platform uses two knowledge management tools, a knowledge map and a knowledge base, to support the platform.展开更多

Therefore, a systematic and sustainable process is necessary to coordinate knowledge management, project management and product lifecycle. This scenario predominates in companies focused on the creation and maintenance of information systems. This article presents an exploratory study based on a framework that integrates cognitive, managerial, and operational processes in a public Brazilian organization that provides services in the area of information and communications technology, focusing on the construction and maintenance of information systems. Those processes are operationalized by three management models considering knowledge, project, and software development processes. Our proposal aims to understand the relationships between those three management models and their influence on the software development process in the organization under study. Our premise is based on the principle that cognitive management, project management, and software development management must be integrated to fulfill the demands of product development and service provision. The research data was composed of registers of working hours spent on software development and maintenance projects involving 244 people allocated to 5064 projects in the period from 2007 to 2013. The study resulted in the identification of the relationships among the three management models adopted by the organization, with emphasis on knowledge management activities, which were not directly identified, making it difficult to account for and measure them. We established a set of activities connected to each one of the knowledge management model phases. Since those activities were not visible before, our approach contributed to build a systematic process to register and relate activities linked to the dimensions of cognitive processes, project management, and software construction.展开更多

文摘Knowledge Sharing and Service is one effective way to eliminate knowledge poverty and promote social development.Existing knowledge sharing and service is mainly provided in some organizations or specific social groups.Besides,a knowledge sharing and service system about geography, natural resources and ecology has not been reported. We proposed a public welfare professional knowledge-sharing and service platform for all members of society in geography, natural resources and ecology. The construction of a knowledge-sharing and service platform is based on five aspects of work:analysis of user requirements, setting standards and drafting policies, aggregating knowledge resources, the technical realization and the maintenance of service.Knowledge resources can be aggregated by using a"two-step"strategy.A knowledge-sharing and service system can be implemented by using"four-tier"structures that are comprised of resources, resource access, application and service, based on the Hadoop-distributed cluster architecture. It has been proven that adhering to the idea of co-building and co-sharing,and using the mechanism of"payment is equal to benefit"can effectively promote the gathering of knowledge resources, and arouse the enthusiasm of all members of society to participate in knowledge sharing and service,to achieve the objective of narrowing the knowledge gap between social groups.
文摘This study develops and tests a conceptual model of followers' perceptions of transformational leadership as an antecedent to their innovative behavior in organizations. Implications of the findings for theory, research, and practice are discussed.
文摘Employee creativity is both the core element of a firm's innovation capabilities and the sources for its growth. To improve an organization's ability to innovate, it is necessary to improve the creativity of its employees. Based on theories from strategic human resource management, creativity and organizational learning, this paper investigates the relationship between high performance work systems and employee creativity and explores the role knowledge sharing plays in their relationship. A questionnaire is designed and administered to a group of part-time executive students in the winter of 2012. Two hundred students are invited to answer the survey questions with 117 valid responses. Data are collected and processed by using statistical regressions. The empirical findings reveal that high performance work systems positively affect knowledge sharing and employee creativity. Knowledge sharing plays a mediating role in the relationship between high performance work systems and employee creativity. Implications for practice and future research are discussed.

文摘A process-oriented knowledge-sharing platform is studied to improve knowledge sharing and project management of chemical engineering design enterprises. This knowledge-sharing platform uses two knowledge management tools, a knowledge map and a knowledge base, to support the platform.
文摘Purpose–Over the past decade, the cost of product development has increased drastically, and this is due to the inability of most enterprises to locate suitable and optimal collaborators for knowledge sharing.Nevertheless, knowledge sharing is a mechanism that helps people find the best collaborators with relevant knowledge.Hence,a new approach for locating optimal collaborators with relevant knowledge is needed, which couldhelp enterprisein reducingcost andtime ina knowledge-sharingenvironment.Thepaper aimsto discuss these issues.Design/methodology/approach–One unique challenge in the domain of knowledge sharing is that collaborators do not possess the same number of events resident in the knowledge available for sharing. In this paper, the authors present a new approach for locating optimal collaborators in knowledge-sharing environment using the combinatorial algorithm(CA-KSE).Findings–The proposed pattern-matching approach implemented in Java is considered efficient for solving the issue peculiar to collaboration in knowledge-sharing domain. The authors benchmarked the proposed approach with its semi-global pairwise alignment and global alignment counterparts through scores comparison and the receiver operating characteristic curve. The results obtained from the comparisons showedthat CA-KSEis a perfect test havinganarea undercurveof 0.9659,comparedto the other approaches.Research limitations/implications–The paper has proposed an efficient algorithm, which is considered better than related methods, for matching several collaborators(more than two)in KS environment. The method could be deployed in medical field for gene analysis, software organizations for distributed development and academics for knowledge sharing.Originality/value–One sign of strength of this approach, compared to most sequence alignment approaches that can only match two collaborators at a time,is that it can match several collaborators at a faster rate.

文摘The creative industry is a knowledge-based industry, but it is difficult and complex to create knowledge for enterprises. The principle of cooperationsharing posits that companies’limited resources prohibit them from gaining a competitive advantage in all business areas.Therefore,cooperation-sharing can help businesses overcome this hurdle.Cooperation-sharing expedites economic development, breaks the barrier of independent knowledge creation, and enhances resource utilization. However, the effectiveness and stability of knowledge cooperation-sharing are key problems facing governments and other regulators. This study can help regulators promote honesty in enterprise cooperation-sharing.Based on the hypothesis of bounded rationality, the evolutionary game theory was used to construct the“Enterprises–Informal Institutions–Government”tripartite game matrix.Next, based on this game matrix,a simulation analysis method was used to analyze the effects of external incentives on the stability of evolutionary strategies. The analysis shows that the strategic choice of the“Enterprises–Informal Institutions–Government”tripartite game could be affected by the initial state strategy choices of the other two players, but more influential were the cost and external incentive levels of the game players. The results indicate that the government and informal institutions should regulate enterprises with a rational external incentive mechanism that boosts the enterprises’incentive to cooperate honestly. Thus,an effective external incentive mechanism can significantly improve the probability of enterprises behaving honestly in cooperation-sharing and promote the development of the creative industry.

文摘Based on the individual level, influencing factors of stakeholders knowledge sharing behavior in aircraft product development are discussed, which are participant degree, sharing intention, and sharing capability. And the relationship of these factors between explicit knowledge sharing behavior and tacit knowledge sharing behavior are analyzed theoretically, some assumptions are put forward, and a theorittcal study model is established. Then, using a structural equation model, the assumptions are validated through principal component analysis and model fitting for 215 sample data.Lastly, the conclusion is gained that participant degree, sharing intention, and sharing capability all have a significant positive effect on the explicit knowledge sharing behavior and tacit knowledge sharing behavior in aircraft product development.
文摘In project-based organizations knowledge is a critical resource used to develop and deliver products and services with a high level of quality. Since those activities were not visible before, our approach contributed to build a systematic process to register and relate activities linked to the dimensions of cognitive processes, project management, and software construction.
