The Application of the Equivalence Theory in Translating Ancient Prose of New Year’s Addresses

In recent years, New Year’s addresses have been characterized by frequent golden phrases, which have attracted much anticipation and attention. Among them, it is not difficult to find that quotations from ancient literature begin to appear often in the New Year’s addresses. This reflects Chinese culture, but the ensuing problem is how to further spread Chinese culture through foreign translation. In this paper, from the functional equivalence theory of Naida, combined with the five major equivalence translation standards in Kohler’s equivalence theory, the German translation of ancient prose in the New Year’s greetings is analyzed.

Equivalence Theory Applied to Anisotropic Thin Plates

We extend the Equivalence Theory (ET) formulated by Absi [1] for the statics of isotropic materials to the statics and dynamics of orthotropic materials. That theory relies on the assumption that any real body mod- eling may be substituted by another one that, even though it may possibly have material constitutive laws and geometric properties with no physical sense (like negative cross sections or Young modulus), is intended to be more advantageous for calculus. In our approach, the equivalence is expressed by equating both the effective strain energies of the two models and the material structural weights in dynamics [2]. We provide a numerical analysis of the convergence properties of ET approach while comparing its numerical results with those predicted by the analytical theory and the Finite Elements Method for thin plates.

Spin-Spin Interactions in Gauge Theory of Gravity, Violation of Weak Equivalence Principle and New Classical Test of General Relativity

For a long time, it has been generally believed that spin-spin interactions can only exist in a theory where Lorentz symmetry is gauged, and a theory with spin-spin interactions is not perturbatively renormalizable. But this is not true. By studying the motion of a spinning particle in gravitational field, it is found that there exist spin-spin interactions in gauge theory of gravity. Its mechanism is that a spinning particle will generate gravitomagnetic field in space-time, and this gravitomagnetic field will interact with the spin of another particle, which will cause spin-spin interactions. So, spin-spin interactions are transmitted by gravitational field. The form of spin-spin interactions in post Newtonian approximations is deduced. This result can also be deduced from the Papapetrou equation. This kind of interaction will not affect the renormalizability of the theory. The spin-spin interactions will violate the weak equivalence principle, and the violation effects are detectable. An experiment is proposed to detect the effects of the violation of the weak equivalence principle.

Explicit Proof of Equivalence of Two—Point Functions in the Two Formalisms of Thermal Field Theory
