This study explores the integration of predictive analytics in strategic corporate communications, with a specific focus on stakeholder engagement and crisis management. Our mixed-methods approach, which combines a comprehensive literature review with case studies of five multinational corporations, allows us to investigate the applications, challenges, and ethical implications of leveraging predictive models in communication strategies. While our findings reveal significant potential for enhancing personalized content delivery, real-time sentiment analysis, and proactive crisis management, we stress the need for careful consideration of challenges such as data privacy concerns and algorithmic bias. This emphasis on ethical implementation is crucial in navigating the complex landscape of predictive analytics in corporate communications. To address these issues, we propose a framework that prioritizes ethical considerations. Furthermore, we identify key areas for future research, thereby contributing to the evolving field of data-driven communication management. 展开更多

Employing a rigorous mixed-methods approach, we conduct an in-depth analysis of the effects of AI-driven personalization on audience engagement, brand perception, and conversion rates across various industries and communication channels. Our findings reveal that while AI-powered personalization significantly enhances communication effectiveness and offers unprecedented opportunities for audience connection, it also raises critical ethical considerations and implementation challenges. The study contributes substantially to the growing body of literature on AI in communications, offering both theoretical insights and practical guidelines for professionals navigating this rapidly evolving landscape. In this research, customer orientation and strategic competence are undertaken in relation with servant leadership and service standards communication, using a sample of 106 Turkish firms' executive assistants. One big achievement in the last decade is the rapid development in transplantation medicine, enabling seriously ill people to live longer. However, in the year 2014, 12 people in the European Union have died every day because of the lack of available organs. Nearly, 70,000 people were waiting for a matching graft. An analysis of donation and transplantation variation across the European member states shows that since many years, Spain occupies a pioneer role, whereas Germany and Austria are lagging behind. From the legal and administrative perspective, Spain and Austria are quite similar with their presumed consent system (opting out), whereas Germany has an informed consent system (opting in). Hence, there must be other influencing factors like the way of multilevel communication leading to the following research question: How does multilevel communication influence organ donations in Spain, Germany, and Austria? On the basis of a cross-country study, it can be shown that strategic communication on the (inter)personal and organizational level supported by the creation of public awareness on the national level is crucial for succeeding in closing the gap between demands and realized organ transplantation. 展开更多

Cyberterrorism poses a significant threat to the national security of the United States of America (USA), with critical infrastructure, such as commercial facilities, dams, emergency services, food and agriculture, healthcare and public health, and transportation systems virtually at risk. Consequently, this is due primarily to the country’s heavy dependence on computer networks. With both domestic and international terrorists increasingly targeting any vulnerabilities in computer systems and networks, information sharing among security agencies has become critical. Cyberterrorism can be regarded as the purest form of information warfare. This literature review examines cyberterrorism and strategic communications, focusing on domestic cyberterrorism. Notable themes include the meaning of cyberterrorism, how cyberterrorism differs from cybercrime, and the threat posed by cyberterrorism to the USA. Prevention and deterrence of cyberterrorism through information sharing and legislation are also key themes. Finally, gaps in knowledge are identified, and questions warranting additional research are outlined. 展开更多

The use of social media in political communication has demonstrated its significance by the example of Arab Spring and the 2008 US presidential election, but its role in non-western democratic countries like Taiwan has rarely been examined. Micro-blogs share some characteristics with other types of social media but operate in a lighter way that has made it more and more popular among Internet users. Most researchers focus on the better-known Twitter, however, Plurk has found a niche and becomes the leading type of micro-blog in Taiwan and many politicians enjoy using it for political communication. This study seeks to answer the question "What patterns do Taiwan Residents politicians exhibit when utilizing Plurk?". By combining Habermasian communicative action theory and Foot and Schneider's Web Sphere, this research attempts to form a theoretical framework for micro-blogs. In-depth interviews were conducted with Taiwan Residents politicians at various levels and it was discovered that the broad pattern of political communication via Plurk may be characterised in Habermasian terms as strategic, through information broadcasting, public opinion formation, and political mobilization. In addition, this research shows that Taiwan Residents politicians use Plurk to gather information and ideas in exchanges which have dialogic elements. 展开更多

This overall assumption has taken its place as a few of world’s remarkable leaders such as Trump, Merkel, and May are using microblog Twitter by pointing out their opinions. This opens question if directors and managers of, e.g., in Higher Education Institutions are using Social Media’s tools such as microblog Twitter as a part of their work in strategic management. As Twitter has launched interactive tools and closed groups in recent years, some HEI’s (Higher Education Institution) directors started to consider and use Twitter in strategic management interactively with their personnel in Finland. Using Social Media and Twitter allows a possibility for a different model of social dialog between inner and outer stakeholders, e.g., of strategy or strategical management. This requires directors who can foster organisation’s values also via Social Media’s microblogs such as Twitter. This draws attention to communication management of strategy or strategical management communication. This research studies by theme interviews how directors of selected Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS) think that they are using Social Media tools such as Twitter in their daily strategic management. The aim and objective is to have an oversight if there is any need for improvement or change in using Social Media tool such as Twitter in HEI’s strategic management according to the theme interviews. The scale of India* s imports of weapons and military supplies from the United States has continued to expand, and India-US joint military exercises have deepened. Since the Modi government took office in 2014, it has signed two basic military cooperation pacts with the United States, paving the way for further upgrading the two countries' defense cooperation in the future. India-US counter-terrorism cooperation is starting from scratch and continuing to deepen, further expanding the contents of their security cooperation. India-US close security cooperation has had a serious negative impact on India’s overall foreign strategy, especially its tradition of long-standing strategic independence. It has eroded material and institutional foundations for India ’ s strategic autonomy, and deteriorated India’ s geostrategic environment, which is not conducive to realizing its dream of being a great power. 展开更多

Though somewhat a sub-nation since its handover to China in 1999, the Macao Special Administrative Region Government (MSARG) finds it imperative to apply strategic communication to its place branding in its regional and international communities. Taking on the former Portuguese colony for an in-depth analysis, this study describes the perception of, knowledge about, and practice on strategic communication by the MSARG communication officials. As the oldest and largest religious political organization and a political opposition,the Muslim Brotherhood has long been active in the Egyptian political arena.The eruption of the‘January 25th Revolution’in 2011 enabled the Muslim Brotherhood to successfully move from behind the scenes to the stage,and the Freedom and Justice Party under the Muslim Brotherhood was highlighted in Egyptian politics and succeed in the administration of the Egyptian regime.The successful development model of the Muslim Brotherhood is closely related to its strategic communication tactics.This article explores the various strategic communication tactics of the Muslim Brotherhood targeting the internal public,the international community and the stakeholders,including vertical word-of-mouth strategic communications,joint organization strategic communications and social media strategic communications.After the‘January 25th Revolution’,the Muslim Brotherhood began to adjust to the previous strategic communications,focusing on accelerating the Islamization of the Egyptian legal system,government departments and official media,and new strategic communications have trapped it into a difficult position and it has been faced with more hurdles. 展开更多

通过将SWOT-CLPV模型与利益相关者理论结合,构建了一种新型战略选择分析模型。与原有的SWOT-CLPV模型相比,新模型通过各元素所涉及的利益相关的数量为各元素赋予权重,可以量化分析系统的内外挑战,同时为决策者提供基于利益相关者的多维... 通过将SWOT-CLPV模型与利益相关者理论结合,构建了一种新型战略选择分析模型。与原有的SWOT-CLPV模型相比,新模型通过各元素所涉及的利益相关的数量为各元素赋予权重,可以量化分析系统的内外挑战,同时为决策者提供基于利益相关者的多维度分析视角,提高了分析结果的科学性和可靠性。据此模型对分级诊疗视角下传染病防治体系改革进行分析,确定了与传染病分级诊疗密切相关的6个利益相关方的抑制性、杠杆效应、脆弱性以及重大问题的数量及其内涵,厘清了利益相关者们之间的相互关系和基于利益的行事逻辑。据此结果,本研究认为贯彻以病人中心的医学服务理念、完善顶层设计、明确授权并建立问责机制、贯彻强基层战略、慎用医保梯度报销政策是推进分级诊疗政策,优化传染病防治体系行之有效的战略选择。 展开更多

This study analyzes the public relations curricula of 44 American colleges that have a Public Relations (PR) Student Society of America (PRSSA) chapter. Through content analysis, this study examines general requirements, core public relations courses, requirements of public relations programs and strategic communication programs, and optional public relations courses offered by the colleges. The findings of this study reveal that very few public relations programs offer courses involving new media, crisis communication, and PR ethics. In order to keep in touch with the fast-changing public relations landscape, more PR programs should require and integrate new media, crisis communication and ethics courses. 展开更多

Under the background of development of Hainan Free Trade Zone(port)to meet its demand of English language talents with good intercultural communication competence,an empirical study is conducted to evaluate vocational college students’communicative competence of intercultural communication.The results indicate that among the five factors of communicative competence of intercultural communication,students’listening competence is the highest,followed successively by oral competence,strategic competence,sociolinguistic competence,discourse competence.The analytical results show that each factor among the five factors are positively correlated with the other four factors.Moreover,students’scores in college English Test(Grade A)have a positive correlation with their oral English competence,discourse competence and sociolinguistic competence,respectively. 展开更多

ICT Transformation in Chinese Tobacco Industry: Case Studies

This paper is based on four in-depth case studies on the information and communication technology (ICT) evolution of Chinese tobacco companies. The ICT transformation processes of these companies are introduced briefly. A strategic grid model was used, which shows that depending on a company's strategic grid cell, different behavior patterns can be observed, in terms of Nolan's stage model. The analysis shows that companies allocated in the "turnaround" and "strategic" cell do not behave accordingly to Nolan's stage model. A few years after China first application for a World Trade Organization (WTO) membership renewal in 1986, observed companies skipped some of Nolan's stages to achieve an accelerated ICT transformation. Therefore, a fast transformation of ICT plays a major role for Chinese tobacco companies to face the challenges entailed by an open door policy and the WTO entry. This conclusion is limited to companies that are allocated either in the "transformation" cell or the "strategic" cell. 展开更多
